Best vaporizers on the market today?

it's kind of like making the decision to buy a nice tv.


you don't need it, the one you have works decently. do i really want to upgrade the tv i have just for slightly better resolution, colors, and blacks?

depending on who you ask, they'll answer yes or no. the differences may seem marginal, but once you are making improvements at the highest of percentages, even seemingly small improvements are huge.


for me, the herbalizer is something i'd be using 90% of the year. if i'm using something that much and it improves my smoking routines, i'm willing to pay for it.

Well I see you can now get Da Buddha for under $150. I haven't used one but it is a lower priced version of the silver surfer which works FANTASTIC.

If I spring for a HIIIIIIGGHHHHHH dollar unit I might try the aromed, it has a feedback loop so the harder you draw the higher the heat. It seems like that would take care of the whole counter intuitive the slower you toke the BIGGER the hit.

how do Volcanos stack up nowadays to the newer competition?

I still have my original volcano I bought back in 2006 sitting in a box in my basement... man that thing has been with me a long time! survived 2 cross-country moves.

I like the volcano, but really don't like sitting around waiting for the bag to fill up, or the burnt popcorn taste after the initial filling.

And why is that better? Grinding weed isn't much of a chore. I can't see how it would vaporize the weed evenly.

I'm glad you like yours. I don't see an advantage to not grinding. In biology there is a persistent theme of expanding surface area, brain folds, structure of the stomach lining etc...This is NOT an accident! Grinding the weed exposes more of the resin glads to the hot air rushing past. It just makes sense. it doesn't matter how good the herbalaire's airflow is, at the center of a nug the airflow is going to be nil.

you wouldn't have a link to Herbalaire 2.2 would you?? anyone? after years of vaping and a lot of money spent on garbage vapes, I've come to realize the importance of the cleanliness of the vaporizer... how does it come apart for cleaning?

just bought my SECOND one along with the upgraded power supply so I can use it as a "stationary" unit without running down the battery. I did fry the first battery on the first one in like 5 months... of truly extreme usage

It's on par with my silver surfer and that cost twice as much

I've been using a Vapor Brothers hands-free whip style for a couple of years now. It beats the snot out of smoking on most levels, but does have its moments. It's a bit maintenance-intensive as the hose likes to come off the bowl side of the whip. It's tapered, so it's just gonna come off as it heats up & gets a little oil on it...poor design if you want my opinion, but it does work...could just be a lot less annoying. Actually now that I think of it it's about the same amount of work as a bong. The bowl's bigger than it needs to be as well & there are few to no options for this that I've been able to find. Taste is out of this world and quality is great. For right around $100, I'd recommend it to anyone. I thought about the Volcano for a quick second, but I'm not one of those people willing to dump $500 on a vape. I just don't see the justification in that machine. Maybe at $200, but they're WAY overpriced.

I also have an Ego-C Twist that I'm rather fond of. It will vape flower or oils. The battery lasts forever & it has adjustable voltage for a flower attachment (which I don't have yet). I'd totally buy another at $30. I can get grams of oil for $25 and one will last me many months.

I also had a Vape Medz pen that uses, as far as I know, only their cartridges. Mine came apart in my pocket as I was skiing - battery pulled lose from the electrics & the wiring came off. I figured it to be totalled as soldering in that little tube would have been tough. I'd skip the Vape Medz stuff myself...too many options out there that don't require proprietary connections.

I have been using my vape box from china for just a short while.

It is something to get used to.

The high is not quite the same.

It is slightly more cumbersome then my glass pipe but much easier on my lungs.

Smoking is just too hard on me these days.

I have read and it seems the Arizer Extreme Q seems to be the front runner next to the volcano.

So, if I were to invest in the Arizer EQ, what improvement will I see over the cheap vape box I have now?

the most effective vaporizers are electrically motivated and are inherently less convenient to 'pass around'. the bagger type vapes (EQ, volcano) using the bag, make vaping more convenient to a group of people. i'm thinking that your china box is a wand type vape. the biggest flaws to them is the heating element glass, that the wand goes onto, is almost horizontal so that when one puts the wand onto the element, the herb will sometimes fall out (put a 1/2" something under the front of the box helps); the heating elements are not ceramic and the whips tubing diameter is too small to get good volume of air thru (= smaller hits).boys and girls, you get what you pay for... that doesn't mean that a $700 vape is twice as good as a $350 vape but a $350 vape probably is twice as good as a $100 dollar one and is definitely MUCH better than anything less expensive than that.... those hand held butane driven vapes IMO aren't worth ANY money. OTOH, that box is way better than burning thru a glass pipe for your lungs... as far as getting higher one way or the other... IMO, with a better vaporizer one will get as high as burning.
