by far my favorite is/was lipstick bud a clone only from the mid 80's early 90's it mostly floated around the pacific northwest, mostly in the seattle, eugene, and portland area.
The taste was exactly like crayons and plastic, sounds gross but was delish somehow although it was kind of a novelty. Very potent too boot.

Jill's candy mix is basically Space Queen (Romulan x C99) I got 2 different pheno's that are like Orange candy and the other is orange and a little hashy for lack of a better word,
And the stone is powerfull too
But I like NRS Cali-O too

best tasting pot i've ever hit...
Soma's NYCD... it's like it's not even pot, it's so fruity and sweet...
other than that, a Hawaiian sativa (from the islands) that i got to puff was in the same league. anything 'hawaiian' i've smoked that wasn't from the islands completely pales in comparisson in the flavor catagory... don't know why, but that's how it worked...

Flavor and potency are at the top of my list.
I liked Mango a lot and am growing that out again. I also found Caramella extraordinarily tasty...loved the spiciness of that herb and how it coats the back of your throat after a big bong hit. Often I've gotten too high smoking Caramella because I was enjoying the flavor so much.
Reading this thread makes me curious to try NYCD, and sharpens my interest in growing out Bubblegum, among others.

I have a harvest with nirvana's "white rhino" and sensi's "mother's finest" and for now i haven't noticed huge differencies in the taste/effect (both are, i think, strong strains at around 20-25%).
Maybe that the Rhino is more lemony and harsh while the MF is grapefruity and softer on the throat. I have a hard time to diferenciate the high they produce (i'm not even sure to be more couchlocked by the WR, both are a treat, and the hot weather certainly doesn't help to get subtle diferences in strains). Some bagseed strain i had provided a better harvest by 15-20%, but was imo smellier and the high was not as good, but yet not by a long shot.
I find interesting, because i thought otherwise, that i had a mothers finest plant of almost 2 meters high (but trained to be less) wich easily took 15 more days than the tiny white rhinos, and that in the end the [time invested compared to harvest] and the psychotropic effect are very very close.

this has been the basis of my genetic hunt for years.....the ultimate goal being a TRUE variety of tastes in my garden........
very few strains have met and exceeded my flavor expectations.......my fave being Jackie-O.....with ECSD a close second.............i feel like taste is hyped beyond belief....some cats feel obligated to describe their plant as an "erotic explosion of blah-blah, followed by a touch of blah-blah on the exhale, lasts for hours!"..........probably because they spent so much time n' effort.....also, they think thats what peeps want to hear..........which they do.........understandable but unhelpful to the rest of us..........im sure ive been guilty of this before myself........pehaps it has to do with five million folks thinking their Pure Blend Pro is organic (my pet peeve).................which its NOT!......original pure blend is though.......on the whole i've found maybe 6 or 8 strains that dont taste like smoke....out of 40 or so organically grown.........flavor is the exception, not the rule.....in my opinion
