Best frankincense smelling strain you can buy now?

The Neville’s Haze you can buy now doesn’t have it but the original regular seeds line had it loud in all three phenotypes. I grew them in 2008 with seed from 2006.
Same with Hawaiian Snow. The original, (Hawaiian haze x O Haze x Neville’s Haze) also had it. The current line “Hawaiian x Laos” feminised will not.
I’m currently growing an old pack of those regular Neville’s and have an old pack of the original Hawaiian Snow in the fridge to do next.
Hawaiian Snow f2 from regular stock. Floral, cherry spice. This was my preferred pheno from tge originals I grew. The sweet root vegetable seems to be more dominant from the f2s and crosses I've grown recently.

Both have great effects but I find this pheno more electric. Heavy trichome production, terp content and vigor in hs crosses I've grown. I think it could be interesting addition to a hash program.

It definitely leaves a pleasant incense when burned but not what I would call frankincense. GHS haters will scoff, but hs has better effects than most of the clone only piffs/sativas I've grown.

Are you planning a repro/F2?

From GHS? Because Nevilles Haze or strains derived from it are offered by quite some other brands.

One or another is bound to still have the old original genetics, no?

Hawaiian Snow from Greenhouse Waterlooplein about 10 years ago was probably the best weed I have smoked in Amsterdam. What an amazing strain it is, or was! You're very lucky to have some

Yes, GHS original 1998 regular seeds release is the THE definitive Neville’s Haze.
I believe they only made one batch and were selling them for many years (it was never a popular strain choice with growers generally).

You could still find them as late as 2006, then they became rare with most shops only having the feminised version. The fem has only a hint of the NH quality. I grew a few packs 10 years ago.
I thought about searching MNS Neville’s but soon found others had already run many packs without success.

Yes I will be breeding with them and the Hawaiian Snow originals I’m doing next.

I have a very promising Neville’s male that flowers in 6 weeks and has incredible loud musky, leathery, woody terps. I’m hoping it will add that musky background to a nice “full mouth tasty” clone of totally different ancestry, cheese say, or Sunset Sherbert or Even a good old cut of NYC.
UK breeders who want to work on crosses together would be welcome. I’m serious enough to make a business out of it and I have legit production facilities and contacts in Spain.

It really is puzzling to me how little traction Hawaiian snow seems to have in the modern seed market with all its positives. The standard version used to receive almost universal positive reviews. I think people automatically write off ghs as bunk but they had great sativas at one point.

Yeah GHS had bad rep for a long time now plus the interest in strains comes in waves it seems, many are long gone when the wave comes back as is the case with the Hawaiian Snow. The fem version doesn't compare to the reg. from what I read. Shame, would love to check it out.

Here is Bandaid Haze #7 x A5 Haze by Karma, keeping this one for some years. One of the best Haze hybrid for sure.

To my knowledge the flower time comes from the male usually so good on you :)

To anyone who has run the A5 what is the stretch like? Im only used to Thai stuff
Shorter plant, NL structure. No issue. Mine was the clone. Neville’s selection. Got it from Holland years ago.
It’s a parent plant that breeds well, not a grail. That requires crossing it to the Haze C male.

Oh and I miss typed earlier… I did not mean to say GHS Regular was the definitive Haze… I meant to say it’s the definitive Neville’s Haze ( vs MNS, white Label or later GHS fem releases)

4 Amsterdam trips 03-07

I've never smoked any great Haze in Green house with the exception of Hashplant Haze and some Good SSH

The Hawaiian snow in 05 was OK and far from what I knew as Haze

I have no experience with what was available at the shops but my opinion is based on growing numerous haze seeds/"elite" sativa clones. I'd buy there story as a Neville’s hybrid but I take all of these lineages and backstory's with skepticism. Truth is I care more about effects than lineage and ime/o Hawaiian Snow competes favorably with other sativas I've grown. I'd be happy to send you seeds if you'd like to try it.

Greenhouse seeds never produced a single seed of Nevils Haze SSH and so on, Nevil was a partner in the Greenhouse coffee shop and Shanti 50% owner of Greenhouse seeds.

Nevil bred the seed away from GHS and sold them seed on consignment, and they had no breeding plants ever from Nevil.

F2 flower from the NH 97 seed.

This is what a 5HzA flower should look like.
