Feminized seeds will also show variation.

Im also not much on feminized seeds, though some can be xtremely good. Barneys fems sucked from the G13 x Haze I grew, and I grew 30 of them. They werent worth keeping. Not one of them.

I just recently bought some S1 Puck Hashplant seeds from El JeFe Gardens. You never see these, and the original Puck Hashplant is one of if not the most sought after of all the Hashplant clone only strains. So I took a chance with these. The mother of Puck is the Pacific Northwest Hashplant. It was crossed to NL1, and Nevil got a male from that cross, and backcrossed it into the PNWHP mother. It is also one of the top 2 most sought after Hashplant cuts. Its been around since 82-84.
I was also warned the Puck S1 are finicky, and can be hard to grow. At least the guy was honest. Puck is an old cut from 1988. It is also known as Skelly Hashplant. It original came from Nevils Hashplant seeds from the 80s The Seed Bank, which was the first place to start selling seeds. Nevil said it was the most potent stuff he ever smoked. Look up Nevil Shoenmakers, if you dont know who he is.
They were $300usd for 14 seeds.

I had a strain in the early 90s, until 1997 when I lost it to the Feds, and did from 1997-2009 under the thumb of the feds for cultivation. I got busted with 1200 clones. My partner ratted me out when he got caught with 500 clones I gave him to put on his 2000 acre farm. I had 700 more inside, and I got charged with all of thm, because I was the manufacturer of them. He got off with nothing, for helping ythe FBI against me. I did 7 years behind the fence, and 5 years supervised release. I pled guilty to a mandatory minimum of 10- Life, and a 3-5 Million Dollar fine, which was waived. Cant get blood out of a turnip, though they will try.
The strain I has was NL5 x Haze x Nevils Hashplant x Sk1. It was the most potent stuff I had seen since the early 70s. And it was really just as good, if not better than any of them. The losest thing Ive seen to it was 1972 Santa Marta Green. It was the first Sinsimilla I had ever seen. 1972. I still have a girl mad at me because she said I put PCP in the joint. She was sick for 4 hours, and had to lay beside the toiley to gag, and dry heave. It was also lung buster. Every hit would choke you to death, and if you tried to hold it, it could make you lose your vision for several seconds. It was not safe to drive, and smoke it. It tasted like floral hash, and smelled like cat piss, and honeysuckle. You could compare it to the finest Nepali Temple Balls from the late 60s, and early 70s.
If I could get this strain back, my seed buying days would be over, and thats my quest is to recreate it. I grew it 6 years, and never developed a tolerance for it, and didnt care about smoking any other strain. As long as I had this stuff, no others could compare.

I live right next to a park where all the heads used to gather from the late 60s until the late 90s. I used to walk up into the park looking for victims. One buddy was driving in a va with his girlfriend, and I waved him over, and ake if they wanted to smoke a joint, so they said yes, and before he pulled out to drive around, I lit the joint. They had hit it only 2 times, and my buddy had to pull over, and couldnt drive for an hour. He didnt want to smoke any more after just 2 hits. t was a mix of a 50/50 stone. It would make people paranoid, and also make you not want to be outside. It was the kind of weed that would have you looking out the curtains to make sure the cops werent out there. It lasted for hours, and when you came don you would have a heavy hangover. Dizzy, hungry. It caused terrible munchies after about an hour or 2 into the buzz. You could fall asleep, and wake up hours later, and still be stoned to the gills. There was no easy comedown from this stuff, and like I said, it would blow your lungs up. And really, all the best stuff from the 70s would blowout your lungs, and have a heavy crash. We called it expndo weed.

Crickets and Cicada seeds came out with a cross of the same male genetics my strain of the 90s had. Nevils Hashplant x 80s Skunk #1
AkBeanBrains has the original NK5 x Haze. If I could go through 100 females of the NL5 x haze, and use a few of the bet males from Crickets and Cicada Puck HP BC3, I may be able to recreate this strain.
I got the seeds from a friend, who got them from a friend. They used a Female NL5 x Haze, and a Male Hashplant x Skunk #1. I need to find a really killer female of the NL5 x Haze.

This strain also had little, to no variation. Every plant was as good as the last.. I never saw one bad plant in 6-7 years of growing it.

How much space, light and time per run?
Are you speaking to me??

My flowering area is 12 x 4 with 3 x 1000w Hortilux HPS. Actually for now Im not doing anyhing, but my buddy is, and we grow the same way, and the same amount of growing area.

Veg area is 4 x 8 for the 2 1000w Hortilux HPS, I root clones under 4ft Cool White fluorescent fixtures. I root them with 24 hours light. We really dont need the full 4 x 8, but 4 x 4 is to small.

With our 2010 Barneys Farm G13 x Haze cut, we root a clone for say 10 days, and then its put into 32oz Uline Deli Containers, and Promix BX, and grown in that container for about 3 weeks.
At that point its transplanted into a 5 gallon grow bag, and vegged for another 40 days. At that point they are transplanted into a 20 gallon Tupperware container with Promix BX. They are kept in veg fr 7 more days to acclimate to the new container, and also to see if theres any transplant shoch, which I never have. But still take the precaution.

They are then cut to 12/12 and flowered for 70 days.

So from rooting the cutting to harvest that roughly 130 days for each cycle for the G13 x Haze strain. Its about the same for the Kasu Sour Diesel IBL.
We have a Mr Nice Super Siver Haze cut, also from 2010 that takes 63 days to for, so it takes 123 days for a cycle.

Also this can be cut by 20 days. Instead of running 1 plant per light, we can veg 40 days, and use 2 plants in 20 gallon containers. So we often use 6 plants under 3 x 1000w Hortilux, but can also strategically place about 6-7 more plants in 5 gallon containers around the perimeter. We get 5oz per plant this way. And using 2 plants per light, we may also get 6 more oz, per light. 14oz per plant. But we are in an unfriendly state, and plant numbers make a difference, so we tend to grow bigger, but less plants, even if it does sacrifice some yield. Plus counting a bunch of mother plants he has. Hes got them under 3 x 1000w Hortilux Blue lights. And on 16/8 veg time vs 24/0 All together hes running 8 1000w lights all together. All bulbs are replaced evey 2 flowering cycles/140 days, or every 70 days on lghts on 24/0.

We also have a cut of 2005 Willie Nelson, and it takes it 131 days for a cycle, because it only vegges for 3 weeks, plus 10 days to root, and 100 days flowering. These can get huge and will stretch for 80 days after flip. They will grow 5-6 times their size after flip. These have to be bent over inside or they will get too tall, and the bottom will suffer. They would get 8 feet tall if flipped at 1.5- 2 feet. They will get 15 feet tall outside, but where I am they dont get done before killing freeze. Outside they wont get done until about November 20th. Which is more than a month pass out killing frost zone.
If you would veg one of these for 60 days ( I have ), and give it 30 gallons of soil, it will take up 2 1000w Hortilux, and you can get at least 2.5lbs off of one plant, under 2 1000w Hortilux. They are the biggest fastest growing plants Ive ever seen, and also have the biggest stretch of any strain Ive ever seen. Like I said. It will stretch for 80+ days after flip.

You can start them under 12/12, and they will still take up a 4 x 4 space in 20 gallons of soil.

I got an lb from one plant in a 5 gallon container vegged for 40 days. Bent over, it stretched the length of 2 lights. Though it didnt take up the full width. It was basically on the outside perimeter of a 4 x 8, and bent over, and it went 8 feet long. Even starved of light, on the outside perimeter, in a small container, it grew like a MoFo.

Its a crime this strain is no longer offered. It came from Reeferman. Who I dont care for as a person, from what I know of him. But the Willie Nelson, is one of the best, if not the best longer flowering strains Ive ever seen. Its for sure Ive never seen a strain produce like Willie Nelson. And its a very forgiving strain.

My buddy also has a cut of pre2000 AK47 whos potency is second to none. But going by the same methods, will only produce 14oz per plant in 20 gallons of soil, and 70 days flowering. The buds look huge while growing, but its shrinks up to nothing when dried. The calyx are very small. Very sativa structured. And it reeks to high heavens. Eben if you have it in a basement growing, its very likely you can smell it all the way out into the street. It will get you busted, if you are in an unfriendly state, and have neighbors. Luckily my buddy lives in the hills ofE ast Kentucy, and doesnt have any neighbors for a mile away, and is 1/2 a mile from the main road. He is on a dead end gravel road, in the middle of the woods. But its a really nice home. Hes been growing weed since 1976. Started under 8ft, SHO Fluorescent fixtures, and Columbian seeds.

We mainly use chemical fertilizer, and Promix BX.

We use Hydro Gardens 4-20-39
Calcium Nitrate 15.5-0-0
Epsom Salts.

And in a 10 weeks flowering strain give a boost of 0-52-36 in weeks 4-5. And boost Epsom Salts in weeks 6-7. All the while we increase the PPM slowly with the base formula of 4-20-39, 15.5-0-0, Epsom salts until week 8. And then weeks 9-10 all fert is cut by 1/4 in week 9, and another 1/4 in the last week 10. We dont flush. Just cut back fert in the last 2 weeks.

He also just bought 2 of the new Mammoth Mint White Series 880w LED lights. But havent decided how to use them. They are good for at least a 5 x 5 area, and are 2600+ umol. We also have 3 of the Gavita DE 1150w lights, and used them for 4 years. You have to have alot of headroom, and really good airflow for these, or they will burn your plants alive. They need to be at least 36 inches from the canopy. 40 is also good. They have intense infrared, and can make your plants into crispy critters in short order. But we had really good success with them. But the heat factor can be a bitch to control. His house has 10ft ceilings, which helps. He has a huge concrete basement with 8ft ceilings, and 4 big rooms. Each room is at least 15+ x 15+, and also has 8 windows that can and are open unless it gets really cold. But being concrete, sometimes it can get really humid, so in the summer, he keeps the central air going to help dehumidify it. The basemant is centrally heated with air. Its an older home, but brought up to modern standards. Its a huge old farm house that was owned by a doctor, and also used to be heated by a boiler, and steel radiators. Its also got a huge attic. 40 x 40. Its also got central heat and air and is insulated. Ceiling in attic is 8 feet. The foundation of the house is a good 40 x 40. 45 feet tall. Has really nice woodwork on the inside. It was built around 1900.

Like I said, hes still trying to figure out where to use the new Mammoth 880w LED lighting. He may just use one for flowering as an experiment, and see if its better than the Hortilux, which it should be, but hes still skeptical about LED. So he may use on for flowering, and one for vegging. And if they are really better, switch all the lighting to these lights. It would save about 1060w from what hes using now. At that rate he could add another 880w flowering light.

Also we dont always grow these high yielding strains.
We also like Dominion Seed Company Local Skunk, Granny Skunk, and Dominion Skunk, and they are lucky to yield 10oz per plant, and actually dont like really high amounts of light. Hes got 2 different cuts of the Local, and one each of the Granny, and Dominion Skunk. He also has a certified Chem91skva cut. Also an early 2000s Sensi NL5 x Pre2000 AK47.

But as far as a big yield, and really strong, I like the Katsu Sour Diesel IBL. These plants can also get huge.

I was meaning "Platinum Fire", the OP.
If they have a 2x2 with a 200w LED it makes any strain suggestions to get 5 x 1 pound plants pointless. etc.
No doubt. I stated earlier on you have to have alot of light, and alot of soil. And not many strains will produce an lb per light, and still knock your head off with potency, plus it needs to taste good too.

But his question was what strain will get 2.2 kilos with 5 plants.

I’m looking for ideas for my next run. I want to get 2 kilos out of 5 plants with dense good quality smoke any ideas
You could try Sannies Jack (F9?) fems.

For large indoor tree type strain & grow ideas, some growers you can search:

Gettogro
Ttystikk
Krusty (Freedom Buckets)
Delta9nxs
Ichabod Crane
Marlo
DJM
Heath Robinson
Maina
Timmur

Good luck

Realistically...
4x8 is same area as two 4x4...in one 4x4 you will have to be a master to pull 1kg out.
By that I mean having something like dwc and a clone you know well. Perfectly controlled temps and everything else.
It can be done but most grows will not be at that level.

Cheers

Ttystikk, Ichabod Crane and Delta9nxs latest grows are all big plant/big yield LED grows. Delta doing horizontal scrogs, with the other two doing vertical. Range of ideas from their very informative threads you can cherry pick to suit your own set up.

Probably something like Ichabods + Marlo’s ‘Wall of Weed’ to increase your canopy’s square footage (3 vertical scrog walls).

Grower sshz claims a similar yield from similar wattage (2 Gavita 1700’s) in the same size space - runs 12 plants under each light though.

Best of luck.

Ya I was really going off an article that said they got 3 kilo from 7 plants I’m really just trying to find something with a better big yield really I would be delighted with 1 kilo from 5 but when I seen the article I wondered would it be possible to get 2 with the space I had

Thanks for the info bud growing from Ireland so some strains I just can’t get
I got a reply from Katsu about International shipping.

He does send Internationally, and the shipping charge is $15 US DOLLARS, and may take 3 weeks to get the order.
Id seriously look into his Sour Diesel IBL if you want a potent, fast growing, high yield strain.

Buds the size of your head Eh?

Remo and his 50 gallon brute trash can grows are about the most massive as you can go. It can be done with hydroton and drip as well but you are going to need a hell of a lot of support to try and hit that with a 5 count.

That and multiple vertical hanging 1k Horti Super HPS which I heard rummor they just closed business so I bet theres gonna be a run on those. Sad day if its true.
