I recently converted to coco, for my hempy buckets, and after a little research I decided on Coco Pearl by Cyco. It is pre rinsed, pre charged, and has just the right amount of perlite added to it. It's ready to go right out of the bag. The growth rate has been phenomenal. I'm pretty sure I see skid marks! :D

In 16 days my garden went from looking like this:

So.... I'm a huge fan of Coco Pearl.

This shizzit is the bomb.. .so glad most growers dont know about
it to keep in ample supply for us.. like the pic shows.. proof is in teh puddin..

I picked up the loose Canna Coco; is this the one with trichoderma in it? I can't really tell from the literature on the bag.
Seems to suggest it's washed.. who uses this, what can ya tell me about it? Thanks.

Supposedly it's the best according to it's users. Canna says they never let the coconuts hit the ground so no salts. They probably have a bunch of Indians standing under the trees catching them as they fall. How much you pay for a bag where you are?

Lol! Yea probably. :)
I was gonna order it online for ~$21 but I found it locally for ~$23 so I bought the only couple bags they had.

Thanks for the info. I plan on mixing with perlite; 25% to 75% (ish).

That's a great price, if it was that cheap here I would buy it also. I buy 11 lb blocks of CocoTek for $12.

All your questions have already been answered in the thread, but it's washed, has trichoderma, and is ready to use straight from the bag.

Still using Cyco Platinum coco and loving it, not the cheapest but never a problem and it seems to work really good, been on it about two years now.

Does anyone have any experience with Bush Doctor Coco Loco? I recently bought a bag and I'm going to try it on 2 of my 4 ladies. It's a bit heavier than most coco, that is why I'm going to add about 15-20% pearlite to fluff it up. I'll be transplanting to it, otherwise it will likely burn seedlings. Anyone with some knowledge on Coco Loco would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Just got a bag of this free to try and I'm a hard core canna only user
It's beating my canna clones by about a 30% ratio so far
Super light and airy!

Here's the skinny from growstone:
Coco Mix

Growstone GS-3 Coco Mix

We sourced the finest coco fiber and blended it with our 100% recycled, 100% American made Growstones. What we created is a mix that can’t be matched. Growstone GS-3 Coco Mix™ is a mixture of Growstones, Coco coir and Redwood fiber with added Mycorrhizae. It’s by far the best coco coir mix available on the market.

What’s so special about our GS-3 Coco Mix?

This mix was specially designed for heavy feeding plants in re-circulating hydroponic systems or run-to-waste container gardens with a unique air-to-water ratio throughout the root zone, allowing for more frequent feeding per day with no risk of root rot.

I've been singing the praises of Growstones in coco for a while now. When I met the guys at the Indoor Gardening Expo in SF last year they mentioned this would be coming soon. I can't wait to try it myself.

What can be so great about adding ground up recycled glass to your coco(Growstones). It's main claim to fame is aeration and to help prevent overwatering, sounds good for soil and worthless in coco which can't be overwatered and gets all the O2 it can use from frequent daily and even multiple daily waterings. More Fluff like perlite IMO.

Sounds pretty good.

A unique formulation of the highest quality coco fiber/Coir on the planet which is repeatedly washed for an incredibly low EC, composted for over twenty-four months, and specially blended with extra long fibers, perlite, and pumice. Lightly amended with a starter charge of organic fertilizers like bat guano, worm castings and kelp, this mix is designed for heavy feeding and high performance in container or hydroponic applications. This mix was created for the gardener who demands greatness!

Just finished up a harvest using Mokoko.

Over the last couple years I have used Canna, H&G, Royal gold, and now Mo koko. All were great grows, no problems with any of the cocos for sure. I imagine most of the major brands are pretty similar when you get down to it.
