Best blueberry?

Hempire, right you are, my main point however was that the nirvana version is affordable and can lend itself to a tasty cross if you happen to have a landrace sativa around. i haven't grown enough yet to be 'sick' of skunky bud... may take a while too... cheers

I love Nirvana, grown them a lot and intend to carry on doing so, just needed a bit more variety for a while. For the price, you can't beat them.

I reckon upto 75% of Dutch strains contain Skunk genes, that is bad, a healthy genepool needs to be as diverse as possible. If you look at the Dutch strains and discount all those that contain Haze, Skunk, NL, Afghan or White Widow then there isn't much left. It's all a blend of the same old lines, in recent years other companies have appeared that have worked with other lines and re-introduced landraces into the mix. (Mandala, Cannabigoen, Reeferman etc.)

Take the Columbian gold I have as an example, a pure landrace. I would like to hybridise it to reduce flowerign time, height and increase bud density and yield. i could cross it with NL, Afghan, Skunk or White Widow to achieve that, but why take a unique, exotic landrace and homogenise it? I don't want a Skunky or White Columbian, I want a Columbian more suited to indoor cultivation but still unique and exotic. For that reason I am looking at things like Uzbekistani, Tajikistani, Nepali, Lebanese, Shirin Gol, Pakistani, Dark Kush, all landrace indicas comercially available. Not saying a Columbian x Nepali would be better than a Columbian x Skunk or Afghan, but it would be different and more exotic, to me that is preferable to adding a familiar flavout to the exotic - variety is the spice of life.

P.S. if anyone has any landrace indica beans to spare I'll gladly swap you some for some Columbian beans.

Afropips, I had Fast Blast, think they were £20, ordered direct from Afropips.com. They looked brilliant until flowering properly set in and they didn't produce proper buds. The one that did produced lovely fat buds but the triches and potency were lacking. I am passing no judgement whatsoever on a sampling of three ladies however.

back in the early 90's the only time beans were bought. 50 bucks was paid to a dude with a NY seed connection. told him to get some killer seeds if he could. Long story short , got 5 seeds for 50 bucks. One of them happened to be this blueberry. It herms a little and is kinda nute sensative and light sensative but she's loved by anyone who smokes it. No idea who what when where. But this stuff smells like warm blueberry muffins. ..

DJ short true blues is the only blues I've personally run, but it is my favorite out of 5 total strains. smell has matured from a funky, tart blueberry (like unripe/early blueberry) to full on sweet blueberry. I've smoked his original blues, and it was a little more sweet/candy, but not as potent as the TB in my experience. started goin purp around 35, looks like it might go to 60-65

looks like some great smoke chili.. but are those bananas?
