BC's 150 watt HPS/T5 Scrog Cab

hey m4c!! yeah I was surprised too...after 4 hours the temps went up another degree but thats with no cool air in my room..I like it cold all year round so the usual ambients are around 67-68...my exhaust pushes 251 cfm so with the 36 cfm intake, things seem quite nice...now the total intake area is 19 inches with a 4.5 inch exhaust...
its been when I install the scrubber that temps were going up to 83-84 but now, with the scrubber, temps are staying at 79....whew!!

I guess I should have tested the cab BEFORE I started a grow but that takes the challenge away!!!
Its now day 14 and the first week of veg...
I installed a 80mm intake fan that pushes 36cfm...theres no suction when I open the door and its lowered temps alot...wow...
so now I don't have to take apart that hps...I'm cautious of things like that..my house burnt down when I was young and I'd rather do it the hard way anyways
I also fimmed her

this is the new intake hole from the outside...of course I'll light proof it....
this is the fan right under the scrog screen holder...the other fan pushes the fresh air up and its cooled that crazy light

I love those Indica leaves
I've noticed since fimming that the side shoots are growing faster and thats what I need..
looking forward to any and all feedback...
I should add that the cabs been on for 7 hours now so I turned the AC off....its now 79 in my room and the cabs 82!!! Thats awesome...I like my room around 68--69 so there's no more worries about heat in the winter..

Nice looking cab and plant BC. She looks very healthy and is performing well to your mistake.... since you did miss. haha. FIM will surely help fill up that neat screen you put up. Keep it up.

i have done the final heat test with the scrubber on and temps went to 81 with my room's ambient at 75 so thats awesome...I like it cooler so with the ballast inside, I have managed something I did'nt think possible.....whew....

this might be a better shot of the new side shoots..I fimmed yesterday and those things were barely visible....

Its now day 4 of veg and day 17 from seed...Fimming the top has made her grow 5 maybe six new shoots but I don't know if the pics worked...I took 1 fan out and put a stronger 1 in which has helped alot..the other 1 blew...
this fan here not only sucks in fresh air but it is cooling the light considerablytemps have been a steady 77-78 even after 18 hours on..
finally throught the screen but at least Fimming her is giving those other shoots a chance to grow...
TW leaves get so bigI kept 1 from last time and pressed it in a book somewhere around here
you can see all the side shoots that are popping out like crazy
if you look in the center of the top, you should be able to see the many branches growing...this should be really fun to watch...for me anyways
thats all for now but how do you think she's coming??
I also think she needs more nitrogen because the bigger leaves see a touch yellow..I have'nt fed her anything except palin water...

I switched from regular dryer duct to this exhaust ducting and temps went down3 degrees!!! So now temps, with ambients at 72, are a steady 79 with the scrubber so I am very pleased with that...
I also had to tie her sideways since fimming really slowed her down...she wasn't tall enough to wind through the chicken wire...
same pic just a little closer
it looks so strange at the top right now but you can tell alot of shoots are going to pop out soon..its cool how the leaves I cut when I fimmed have split and turned into 6 shoots
this pic was taken yesterday so you can tell how fast she's grown overnight...now the fun begins
I should mention I have been feeding her B vitamins since the day I Fimmed...

Good move with the exhaust ducting bro, you'll find that the exhaust stuff is probably a lot smoother on the inside and that'll help with the air being moved out alot more effectively. Nice LST'ing and FIM'ing work bruz , those six shoots should double then triple again if you tip them at the right time with the LST'ing she'll be a bush in no time bruz. So good to see you cranking along mate, inspiring for me to get going again, just sorting out my tent to run a 600w HPS
