The Bartender should be back in about a week or so, don't really recall the date.
He'll probly get here right as the roots reach the water level and the plants start growing. Funny how things work out sometimes.

Not yet man, but I may have to get myself a New Years present! I did go out and get that pereskiopsis, though. It's pretty cool and really does grow super fast. I'm gonna practice and then I'll probly start the search. Kinda scared of loosing it to the mail but as you said it's suprizingly easy.

Welcome back bartender, and congrats on getting your papers down. Spain is a beautiful place, one of the few I'd like relocating to if I had the chance. Bet you have some amazing photos. Take care and have fun!

The cuts are puttin on new growth, this morning PH 6.2 temp 76, ice storm is on its way through these parts. goin to get cooold, i guess the weather from europe followed me over here. the girls have been under the 600 HPS for a couple days now, ordered the second ballast, goin to test out one of the new lumatek 600 ballasts. met up with the local grower, the strain is malachive, there some overstock he was gettin ready to chunk. you can never have enough grow space. hadnt talk to the guy in some time, glad my roomate was able to get ahold of him. alright enough rabblin, ill post pics when they start kickin it into gear. take care, bartender187

Been busy around these parts. I apologize for the lack of updates. The girls took awhile to get adjusted to the system, but now they are startin to kick it into high gear. 6 out of the 8 are growing like weeds... 2/8 are noticablely stressed and growing slower. Landlord came over a week or so ago, he had to do some repairs in the house, the girls were left under a 80w flouro for two days. also mixing nutes with the R/O water took some gettin used to, always been used to tap till this run. theres nothin in the r/o to act as a buffer, to solve that we have been adding 5ml cal/mag per gal whenever we top off. received the lumatek 600w a couple days back, and switched over to a solarburst 600w MH conversion bulb on our magentic ballast. got both hoods set up, they really seem to enjoy the dual spectrum.

if you got any questions, feel free to ask. peace.

One of the gimp plants. Any suggestions are welcomed. It has received the exact same care as the other plants.

Hey bartender, very nice!

I am a closet grower myself, but I do plan on coming out of the closet one day, lol! :pointlaug

I can't wait to see how you deal with that many plants in that little space. Closets can be a challenge, but it looks like you've got it going great in there.

Time to grab my seat and my snack. :lurk:

Small update. did alot of thinnin of the undergrowth and took clones yesterday. Still cant seem to keep the RH up in the room. It hovers at 25-30 while the lights are on.

Got a new pup a few weeks ago. Hes a cool guy, doesnt ever want to leave my side.

Took some cuts in prep for the outdoor season, also gettin a few local friends started with cuts. They root in just over 7 days, followed neptunes thread... easy as can be.

down to one runt, the other smaller one seems to have bounce back... throwin out new healthy shoots like mad.
should be flippin soon

Thanks for the advice. This is a local strain some growers decided to call malachive, not sure why... because I have talk to the grower who has been runnin it for awhile and he confirmed that it is of no relation to the actual strain malachive. He did however tell me it like to put out 3-leafed fan leaves for most of its life.... Ill keep an eye on it.. but that plant in question to looks as healthy as can be. if you know of any thing in particular to look for let me kno

Hiya bartender
Nice winter garden you've got going here! Loads of new stuff going on too. Congrats on the Lumatech, love mine - I'm sure you'll love yours. Congrats too on the pooch - he looks like a great bud!

For the RH, have you thought of trying one of those inexpensive heated vaporisors like our mothers used when we were kids? I've had better luck with them than the cool mist devices - I can dial in the RH I want pretty much by how many pinches of salt I put in the reservoir. For a couple of weeks I had to refill it 3 times a day to keep the RH at 50.

Mr. Grean Jeans- thanks bro! glad you stop by, long time. lumatek works out great other than the fact that it causes interference on this local weak mini-fm station. not too bad in my situation, but I could see how it would be a rather large risk for some ppl.

Hmm... inexpesive heated vaporizers, ill definately look into that, thanks for the advice... Right now using one of those sonic humidifiers... I have too much airflow in there... the humidity just gets sucked right out.

Flipped the girls to flower today. Lots of work yesterday, both indoors and outdoors scouting/prepping for the upcoming guerrilla season.

Heres the nute line up for veg. Any suggestions are welcomed... Right now the local hydroshop is pushing the Magi-Cal they. no longer carry cal-mag or cal-mag+. Trying it out, hopefully it will give me similar results, right now I have anything but praise, seems the same and its a few dollars cheaper.
Gotta go buy a gallon of that LK, that shit goes quick. The silica atm I'm using as a PH up, its a decent base.

Here are the girls after a bunch of thinning, swappin nutes one them, and spraying for bugs (I have no signs of em. I just like to be on the preventive side these days... In veg spray when they get situated then again right before they go into flower. ATM using SMC diluted to half to 3/4th str. Then a distilled water rinse after 5-min. I spray right before the lights go out.) The pictures are taken just as the lights went out.

Here are the girls the next morning, enjoyin there new mix and stretching for the sun.

Heres the runt, its no longer stunted, but definately far behind its sisters.

Picture from under their skirts.

Heres our ghetto resureccted mother/cloner chamber ala converted c13. atm using it for a transition space to veg before these plants go outside.

a newly rooted clone... so far have had 99% success rates... and the one that died was because it had dried out, had already rooted. thanks goes out to neptune for the great thread, imo not using the original hole and repoking a hole near the side is key.

take care,
bartender187
