well one so far outta 4 aint bad, its inherint in the thai, id imagine it would be tough to get that worked out of a entire population when lookin at 50 or more plants.
also there hasnt been alot of this offerin grown out, i mean, most havent done a whole pack, just a few plants here and there. so the samplin hasnt been huge as of yet.
the OE lookin good, very sativa in there expression, ill get picks this weekend of all of BGs gear im runnin right now. im lookin forward to the smoke off both lines. and from my friends im hearin good things on the OE, peeps wantin seed so its gainin a rep. when friends around the net start askin for beans, i know someone has grown it and turned out great. the word is out, lol.

Afternoon CBF, you are right about the number of plants grown out. Will see what happens in the future, but i really think this is my plant that i'm going to be focusing on the most ASAP. This F1 has shown nothing but great results and i can't wait to grow out the last of the seeds and see what i got. I got about 85-100 seeds left and they are going to be grown out all at once. This will allow me to see what is really in the gene pool and where i want to go with this plant. I might leave it be, but i also might BX to either parent of go forward with crossing more the IBL. I really don't know what's going to happen at this time, but you can bet Orient Express "Street Slang" OE. Will be around for along time and hopefully winning some contest down the road. What i'm really liking so far with OE. Is that it's a some what normal harvest time plant. I think i'm hearing a average of about 65 days flower time. That's not bad at all for a sativa plant. Will see more down the road. Really looking forward to your update and pictures. Can't wait to see more and I hope your happy with the plants you found. I think the OE is showing more of the Chocolate Pheno then the Bangkok Betty. I've got to look more at my father plant. I think there is more the i know in those genes. I think there might be something hiden there. Thanks for your update CBF. I'll see you around.

heres some shots of all three of the bettys, chopped the hermie/banana producin plant.had the wife with me, and had her check out the aromas, she dont smoke no weed, but has a hella sniffer.
the plants are turnin right now, so they have lost the nice slight semi sweet aromas, and they have a cucumber smell right now as they head for the finish. i dont know how to describe the smell myself, but thats what the wife is gettin.
there right at 8 weeks today, pics from last night. so im still expectin the bud to plump even more in the weeks to come.

no i let um veg up to maturity, have a little trick i been checkin out on sativas to control the stretch, as my OP only has a 4ft ceilin.
but yeah, the two smaller plants are prolly only 18 to 20 inches tall. i veg um till i see alternatin branchin, usually they are around 3/3.5 ft by that time in the veg spot. then i chop um clean in half, to 12 to 15 inches. let the top shoots get goin and then to flower. has been workin pretty well so far.

I got something good to tell ya..
I took the best odored bud and put some in the curing jars and just opened them today..The cherry odor is almost overwhelming!!!The high is much better and it gets you quite spacey!!Very much plan to keep this one..
You might have to have 5 or 6 females to find a really heavily flavored plant but they are nice when ya do.Some plants carried that greeny odor but a few of my females had the more cherry odor with this 1 being heavily odored..
I'm sure Capt Crip will pop in sometime and give us a full report.

TY Blunt, pretty sure the heaviest yieldin plant will be the best. test smoke and the aromas from it say so, lol. but yeah i tried each and the phat girl will be good.
you can see the stacked/braided look of the buds, its sativa bud, but man its thick, tossed the nub in veg on this one and one of the Oriental Express plants as well.
tryin a different spot to dry, down under. have such a dry hot climate here in the summer that in a few days your bud can get over dry. so im gonna try in the crawlspace in the dark were its somewhat moister, hope for a 5 to 7 day dry. id really like to be able to get the nice bud, where ya can give it a good squeeze and nothin falls off the bud if ya get what im tryin to say. kinda spongy, not wet spongy but dry spongy, lol. when i get buds from long time growers there real nice, almost like a woody feel when bustin it up. like if ya was to bust up a chunk of balsa wood. almost like that. and it burns so nice, much longer and taste goes all the way threw.
im close but just not right yet.
