Bangi Haze

Personally, I'd be wanting the flowers coming from the lighter green plant. Less is more with cannabis. ;)
I haven't seen a dark green Bangi in the ten seeds I popped. I learned from my first try two years ago not to hit her with too much N. My girls are two weeks into the stretch outdoor and I'm seeing some yellow underneath but not much.On other strains I usually continue feeding some N for another four weeks are you saying its better not too? My first attempts were never healthy in my view but even at that gave some very fine buds.

Infinitelight5D, not much smell from any of the males so far, slightly peppery herbal smells, if anything. I do like the flower density on A though, due to the shorter innernodes.

I've already got an open pollination of all five individuals, to keep the genetics. The only reason I worry about E, is that I've read DJ short always got rid of the first males to show, to avoid hemp-leaning individuals.

Honestly I wouldn't worry about that. You could actively select FOR early showing males and females without losing quality.
For seed production though male studs are often products of lots of work with progeny testing and breeders want to keep them in veg for years. Having a male that likes to flower on you is a liability.

Just now buds showing. Worried it is going to need a late frost to make it to maturity.
View from below, crappy trellis job and all.

Lovely plant NENugger, great canopy training. You might have mentioned it, and I missed it, but what latitude are you at?

Thanks Nup 42N in Ma. I was hoping they would start flo 1st week of August but took until 3rd week so I'll be trying to appease the frost gods to hold off until late October which is a couple weeks past avg frost date. Or maybe they can withstand if a light frost.:canabis::smokeit:

Yeah, seems the old Bangi´s have a variety of starting times. At worst harvest early and have some electric smoke ;)

I´m also hoping they can take a bit of frost... But other have successfully gown them higher!

Howdy neighbor, your Bangi is looking good bro. I have 3 small Bangi Beauty’s myself that have just started flowering. We’re going to be cutting it close but I’m sure they’ll finish unless we have some crazy hard freezes.

This girl is three weeks in flower. Looks like the end of October for me. Anyone know how many pheno's in Bangi. Some started slower but all look pretty close now. This one in the double tub has water in the lower tub all the time so it never dries out just keeps sucking water from below. She split down the middle in a storm recently but she healed up nice and quick.

Some Bangi Haze pics and info directly from the breeder.

Bangi haze is a stabilized congolese x nepalese hybrid. She has been bred in a very wet and cloudy climate in north of Spain (43ºN). She's is very mold resistant and has good adaptability to cold climates. Some breeding steps were done indoors. She's an easy to grow columnar sativa with great indoor adaptability.

This Bangi Haze females are a F4 inbred line. It's the line we have been moving the past 2 years. The F6 generation is ready now.

Yo!

Some pics from the plants i shared earlier...

The tall Bangi got a stem infection and was mostly chopped, wasn't flowering so its not the worst loss. Still nice to have a few branches around hah.

The bushy Bangi is looking super, however.
Autumn is now on its way and this week the plant is starting to look like its really ripening, purple colours are staring to show.

Its strong pink peppercorn smell is a little less evident, some buds smell like old pumpkin flesh now.

The groupies: front lower left is the chopped (ex)tall plant, RHS is the bush plant

Nup,

You have some very interesting Bangi Haze individuals. My favorites were a couple that had a very floral aroma. The next favorite was one I described as spicy body order. I think that might be like the one you are describing as peppercorn and pumpkin.

Can't wait for your smoke reports, on each plant.

Great plants brothers ! All of them above are beauties in their own ways, doing their best to give it to you...! :)

Interesting to see the different expressions of the Bangi Haze. So far i only have 2 phenos but there's obviously more...! ;) In my humble and short experience with it, it's an excellent strain for breeding too, bringing great vigor and plenty of intensity in the high:dance013:
Funny things also sometimes, like arms and neck tingling all over with a kind of inner electricity for a good 25 mn... :woohoo:

I second Sticky Sat's comment. I'm very happy with my breeding line crosses to Bangi Haze. I have crossed my hybrid with SAGE, and am backcrossing to what is essentially an aunt on the Bangi Haze side. When it works out well, I like to linger a bit in a generation. It's not exactly line breeding, but I like to evaluate and possibly use the interesting stuff that pops out.

I'm salivating and having a cognitive orgasm thinking about this line in some crosses maybe even to Alieno Formaggio F-2 cut I have

Hey NENugger ! That's a great looking girl outside and a nice frosty bud my friend ! :)

The O is a sativa dominant cross i've been running 9 years. It's at the same time incredibly fast and very mold resistant (at least to the mold we have here...) with a great uplifting high very similar to the BH but somewhat rounder. I think i already saturated ICmag with pics of it but here's a few more.
First one was taken at day 27 of 11/13 (lenght of the day here in this season)
The batch was harvested at day 35... Yield is quite low but it's only one more reason to never stop growing... ;)

I want to backcross it with the BH as it's an only clone we've been reproducing continuously. The great BH genetics can only make it better :)
Hello, sorry if it's another question on your O strain, but I really can't seem to find infos haha
Is it a strain you bred yourself? If you have an answer you already wrote, a link to it works too haha

Happy growing! :)

Thank you lads! I certainly got luck with them. Especially how early the flowering one began to flower, really suits this climate.

So many expressions to find in the one line. Really seems like a great one to grow out, and reading trough this thread to try compare with what other have found.

Funny things also sometimes, like arms and neck tingling all over with a kind of inner electricity for a good 25 mn...
I remember that feeling! Oh man, the tingling came in waves and if you lie down its like floating. The search for trip weed is ongoing ;)

Really hope to get things together and start some novice breeding. Stay safe & happy growing.
