These are just about ninety days in veg.

After the summer temps subside I will take cuttings to
see if they any good.

These are from the F2 03 line that I favor, the plant on the left
is topped.

The high summer temps are not to be trifled with, lol.

Here is the nycd x sensi star male:

Still going strong, this plant will pollinate the selections from the F2's
later in the fall

The heat this season has slowed growth very much, lol.

Wow dc. Talk about tight internodes on that day 34 white rhino!! Hopefully it kicks it into "high" gear for you! The rest of your subjects are looking great despite the heat issues ur having. Sorry to hear about the cheesedog. Sucks spending money on "quality" genetics just to watch them fail.

Optimistically, that's gonna open some space for that bubba hashplant!

....my dinafem bubba kush got culled on week 2-3 of flower....full on intersex. I have the clone from when I topped it and I will try putting it in flower just to assure it was the genetics and not user error. I went ahead and started a dinafem critical jack and a barneys farm tangerine dream to take its place.

Yeah, fuck a bunch of cheesedog, lol.

Do you know what Bubba Kush Dinafem used?

The one from Ace used Katsu's cut of Bubba Kush.

My temps are still low 90's, so growth is very slow.
Once temps drop to low 80's I can take cuttings and
pop seeds again.

Keep posting about your gear here, very interested
in the stuff you are starting.

Culled the F2 03 02 in flower, put her out of her misery.

Nothing but dark green wilted sadness.

Day 57 of ninety degree temps.

I knew better.

I've got plenty of smoke to puff, so no worries.

Still low ninety degree temps. Plants be all wilted and pissed off.

Getting new growth, but like at a reduced rate and vigor. Last
summer was much more mild and forgiving to my grow.

As fall approaches I will look into a cooling system for next summer.

Fucking global warming, lol.

DC. Have u ever considered co2? I know it allows for warmer temps. Throw a sugar water yeast jar in ur cab or something...it might just help u through ur warm spell.

Gave it some thought, but veg plants gotta' stick
it out for a couple more weeks till the heat subsides.

I underestimated the summer heat potential effect
on breeding project, usually just in maintenance mode
as a stash grow.

If I go with the current hobby sized grow the next
summer will see a water cooled box set up.

Much more tech, but I have skills.

I have the resources to go big, just can't give up
my day job to do so, and have no plans to trust
someone else to do it for me.

If I spend 100k+ on something, its gotta be based
on a proven model, lol.

I'm good with where I'm at currently. Hobby grow
is very interesting and challenging.

Fall is coming, with a welcome drop in temps.

Heat stress on vegging plants is interesting.

Almost daily inspection of roots, no bugs, had a
root aphid invasion couple years ago that caused
much damage, although no genetics lost.

The heat has an effect on uptake, I have dry, dieing leaves
on most of the plants, feeding at 0.8 EC. pH from 5.5-5.8.

All the vegging plants lower areas are drooping whether
I water or not. The ambient temps are now upper eighties,
and will trend lower as the days go by.

New growth on all plants is there, just slow. Interesting to
note the Zamaldelica 01 is the least damaged plant.

The nycd x sensi star male is also doing well despite the heat.

New genetics on order, but will first stabilize the current
stock prior to any new plants.

Nepal Jam Standard: (Nepalese/Jamaica '85) x Nepalese.

Back to the Congo Standard: Congolese and Deep Chunk mish mash.

Bubba Hash Feminized: Bubba Kush (Katsu) x HashPlant 90s.

I am leaning to the Wide Leaf Drug expressions, but avoiding the
stoner type varieties.

Have learned much about pH and feed rates this summer, looking
forward to stabilizing the plants and continue with the crossing.

Itching to get some ladies into the flower box!

Taking cuttings of the F2's soon, mom plants showing
good steady new growth.

I will pop new seeds after the fall equinox, temps be
on average more agreeable to that end by then.

I'll also take cuttings of that F2 03 that I like for some
fresh stash for the holiday season.

I can't wait to see that bubba hashplant, DC! And I've considered the nep-jam as well.

Look forward to seeing them in a micro setting. I've seen both plants before, but never micro. As a micro grower it's hard to tell the plant structure from these guys who grow monster plants. I put them in a micro setting and they behave totally differently. Some of the aforementioned plants have internode space that wouldn't fit in my growspace. Then when I attempt to grow it it is like it was meant for micro rather than to become a tree.

Malawi, for example. My Malawi has 1/2 inch internodes. No branching whatsoever. Not what you see if you look up Malawi plant pics!

Yup.

Small pots and low watts, different expressions, but
potency seems intact, lol.

That lone White Rhino is under six inches tall, and node
space in increasing. It will transplant to a deep container
soon.

Also two of the F2's are reaking skunk smelling, from the
1979 bagseed side, likely males. I'll know soon after they
move to the flower box after their cuttings root.

Would be nice to have a strong skunk smell with a Sensi Star high.

We'll see.

10 months, lol. Yeah, its gonna' run at least that much
longer.

New box up and running, using a four inch Vortex for vent, much
better than the S & P I was using.

Got that Vortex tuned with a four foot DIY muffler and speed
control by Variac.

Stealth is not cheap, lol.

Took cuttings of two of the F2's and my Zamaldelica 02.

Total of six cuttings, two of each.

Stripped lower leaves, scraped lower part of stem, cut sharp
diagonal on bottom. Straight to water.

Ambient temps down to mid eighties, not quite sweater weather,
but the plants have all sprung back.
