I dont blame ya for culling them... I grew her exclusively for awhile back and people demanded her. That looks nothing like nebula of years ago.

That was my error, but I still culled it for the right reasons.

Here's the best I did with another cutting:

Was decent enough, but finished buds were light,
and smelled like feet, and not in a good way.

Fussy genetics, not worth the time or space in my cabinet!

My homemade crossed stuff is way better.

???, foot fetish ? lol

But i hear you, the homemade crosses usually turn out better, especially over time, cause one you made it yourself and picked the characteristics you liked and two they usually become suited to your environment, due to the progeny being raised in the same environment as the parents.

So true, that Nebula's mum plant in flower now,
and after she done, she done.

I really won't miss it.

Honestly, I haven't got many store bought seeds,
I was lucky enough to like what i had from a few years ago.

Making crosses is time consuming, I know.

But if the F1 was jaw drop awesome, who knows,
maybe I'd just be churning out F1 seeds of the original cross.

But that's not the case here, so stay tuned for the fall
growing season for the back cross from the P1 male.

M

Mr. Sparkle

Looking forward to it, as to me id much rather see people growing their own crosses out, instead of the flavor of the month in the seed industry.

But we all have to get our genetics from somewhere.

Re installed the PL L fixtures in the flower cabinet.
The screw in LED bulbs averaged 96F, with 6 bulbs lit.

With 110W PL L, 88F. The screw in LED may be cooler than
CFL, but for me the remote ballast PL L is preferred.

As the season gets to cooler temps in September I can
go 165W, as usual.

damn, cost me 60 bucks to find that out, lol

Culled the Zamaldelica pineapple pheno, Z 02.

She was struggling with the heat, and no cuttings survive.

Been 24 consecutive days of 90F+, daily high temperature.

Last year had 54 consecutive days of 90F+.

Thunk flipped last week.

Nebula final plant is flowering well, got my nutes on point.

White Rhino ladies looking too, that 03 stretches 3x,
02 is squat.

Couple F2 plants finishing in a week +/-.

More parts mail ordered for drip system, shits adding up, lol

Tossed all my ready bud plants, awful mint/menthol scent taken hold,
bud rot setting in and just plain nasty. Two plants, twenty grams
yield potentially. Ain't dealing with none of that funky bud, ugh.

Summer heat and humidity, lack of fresh air in the grow area.

Thunk starting to throw pistols, and the two white rhinos will
finish as the summer temps subside, so I got that going for me,
which is nice.

There is usually enough cured stash, so no worries.

Note to self, start summer flowering after July 14th, timing
is better for fall finish. Anything finishing mid June to late August
will likely develop rot.

Start spring flowering to finish by mid June.

Thunk:

This is a very good example of a warm sativa, the Zamaldelica Pineapple was very similar.

This is a cut of a cut, etc. since 2009.

And give a little extra time at the end. I'm same situation but low humidity so I'm hanging on . Hope to finish two weeks late good luck next time. I'm going to plan to finish before June 15 here peace sdd

Here is the reservoir half of the drip system :

picture.php

The reservoir jug is 14"x9"x3", 1.25 G. I can get four days unattended watering with this.

Drawing is to scale, 29"x 24”, it's the wall that divides the flower from veg/mechanical.
The 4" circle in the upper right is the vent to the carbon filter/fan exhaust.

The White Rhino flowers are filling in nicely,
have two distinct phenos and will cross them
later this year with the male White Rhino from
the same seed batch.

Flipped Z01, have some cuttings rooted too so
I can flower her again right away. She'll finish
mid December, lol.

The last Nebula is filling out also, soon to chop.

Thunk is done stretch, and will be stellar as usual.

What is the purpose of the tube at the T going back into the res? I am looking for some type of automated watering solution... dont understand its purpose though

Edit: I love this thread by the way...just a stream/log of consciousness. Your setup and design is always on point, plants look great, photos are great too! Keep up the good fight sir :)

This:

I would also suggest a pressure relief be used as well. Just a T off of the main line with some sort of flow control returning water to the rez will do. This will keep your rez stirred up as well. Reduce the flow on the bypass enough to provide the pressure required on your drippers. Constant high pressure on these pumps will wear them out prematurely.

Bit of a learning curve to an auto water system micro style, lol
When successfully completed I'll post pics and a "how I did it"
kind of thingie.

Thanks for that, many see this thread as more of a diary,
lots of folks lurking and some posting very good, informed notes
that add to the stream/log of consciousness, to coin a phrase.
