The days are still warm and the nights cold but well nice freezing and the longer flower expressions of Peruvian are still going strong. The skies are mostly clear so I am allowing the trichomes to ripen to my satisfaction 😋 the smells are heavenly with notes of vanilla sweetness and light plastic astringency 😚

What month do you usually have to harvest?

What autos are you working with/developing?

I have always been interested in the super autos since I saw “Stitch” release some but I never took the plunge as the ones I found online were feminized and I prefer to work solely with regular seeds. The semi auto traits of the Egyptian Sinai have been highly beneficial for crossing with Pure Sativas and I am in pursuit of isolating the earliest version of the Sinai. Have you grown any before?

Those teas sound lovely 🥰 And those mullein look huge 🤩 have you made tinctures with it?
I need to get into the Spagyrics, they are so interesting. The first time I encountered that type of tincture was in Peru where this older Italian gentleman had produced a Spagyric Huachuma Tincture that was basically liquid mescaline 😵‍💫

Intention sets the tone, my teachers made it clear that ingesting anything with intention can bring intense power and transformation. I’m sure you know what I’m talking about 😎

Perfect 🤩 I will collect some seeds for you. You deserve to have a nice Tulsi plant. The tea it produces is delightful, especially when mixed with mint and or lemon balm.

I also grow Mullein, Tulsi, Nettles, lemon balm, etc. Have you two ever grown Klip Dagga? I grew some last season and really enjoyed them. The flowers attract ants, bees, and even humming birds. They have a light psychoactivity that feels similar to cannabis and are used in traditional medicine in several cultures.

I do, I put it in my smoking blend. I've always called it wild dagga. The hummingbirds love it, that's why my wife got it. It was only later I realized it was useful. If I smoke a whole J of it, I feel fairly loaded.

Ah, wild dagga, that makes sense. I've also had the flowers as a tea, which is similar but does not feel as strong as smoking. I don't understand it well so I am hesitant to use it frequently. I'd be interested if anyone has more information about its traditional uses. Not much information online that I could find. It was a fascinating plant though. I collected seeds and plan on keeping it going next season.

More so ,dry draw it with hot water, as medicine. Against flu/cold like symptoms. Remove mucus. Dry plant in the above pics ,is for a family member to take to the United States, next week.
The medical Cannabis industry here on this island (Vincent and the grenadines, west indies) are using tropical medical plants fusion with cannabis extract, available to the public.

I believe older generations(of yes today) ,use it in they smoking pipes.
I will reconsider using it ,as a blend ,in my herb.
JAH give the fruit of the plants as meat and the other parts as medicine.

I grow a lot of autos, especially for CBD/CBDV plants that I can grow 9 months out of the year. For the main (photoperiod/THC) harvest, early October has been as far as I can push it, but usually mid or late September. Generally, the year winds down with a succession of "damn, botrytis!" Harvests. I don't mess around with trying to cut off the bad buds and keep the plant going anymore. Once I see it, I harvest.
The microclimate in my back yard is good...I've had a big white sage plant going for ten years, which is not something that generally does well in this area. So my yard is a fine place to grow as long as I can finish it by the end of August. That's where my interest in true sativas with auto genes comes from.

On the subject of super autos, the breeder stitch that you mentioned is where the super auto sativa lines I have came from (unintentionally). In 2018 I bought a number of his strains, largely because he had the only regular, autoflowering sativa seeds I could find. One of those was called strawberry jam. It was supposed to "stay quite compact" and yield an ounce or two. I put a few in pots and one in the ground (excellent soil, I'd bury old crab guts and chicken bones in that area) and the one in the ground turned into a monster. I tied it down, it just kept growing and reflowing. It took five or six months and yielded well over two pounds! very fruity and spiritual. Sometimes trippy. Unique and excellent. I call it the oneness, for all the times I've smoked in my back yard and saw the oneness in all of creation. I got seeds, some pollinated by a strawberry jam male and some by crappy older stuff with a heavy ruderalis influence that I'd been using for breeding before. That plant is a true blessing; I'm very grateful it found it's way into my garden. I've grown seeds out multiple times since. None quite as good, but some of them close enough that I felt like l still had her. I crossed a strawberry jam/oneness p2 of those with another seed from stitch ("Ace" described by him as the purest auto sativa on the market. A mix of haze, Thai, and lowryder 2. It was a femanized seed). I've been playing around with those for a few years. I have 2 lines from that combo that I can use as a starting point. I'm going to cross one of those with ace New Caledonia, Ethiopian and Nepal Annapurna this year. I'm limited on space here, but I have two other locations to grow at...my friend who appreciates the limitless free hash, and my mom who is happy to do whatever distracts me from drinking too much. That allows me to minimize unintended pollinatio

That San Pedro tincture sounds like something special. I didn't know it could be so concentrated.

I've never grown Egyptian Sinai before, I'd never actually heard of it before reading your wonderful grow diary.

I've never done anything with the mullein other than put a little in a smoking blend. Have you used it as either a tea or tincture?

One of my very favorite medicines to make is similar to herbal bitters. I just mix up loads of herbs from my yard into a giant tincture. Every batch is different, depending on what is available and what feels like the right stuff to add.

I hope the big fires are far from you and that you and your family are safe and healthy ❤️

I just so happened to have found my pipe today, safely tucked away in a spot only someone who was super stoned would think was a good spot (which is why it needed to be found) thank you for the inspiration, my friend. Perfect timing.

Those are beautiful 😍 I have never grown it but I am aware of its therapeutic uses. Your post is the confirmation that I need to add this into my garden this season 😊🙏🏼 I just had a swarm of bees from my neighbors farm (I’m assuming) infiltrate my compost bin. So I’m looking to grow more flowering herbs that will benefit all of us.

Not to mention a shorter flowering period and the high is way better IMO.
The bonus being fresh seeds to play with if you like the effects.
Seeded bud also has the benefit of making a nice garden snack. I love to eat fresh seeded bud, straight off of the plant, while I'm working out in the garden. Different strains, as you would expect, have very different flavors. The strain I grow the most of has a delicious spicy fruity flavor. The seeds add nutrition and substance, as well a a wonderful amount of snap and crunch.

Wow that oneness sounds amazing 🤩 that spiritual herb is my whole reason for growing 🙏🏼 I remember that was Jamaican based. I only grew one Jamaican hybrid that was a freebie fem seed but it wasn’t leaned more towards the indica effects. Your description reminds me of the Peruvian. It just grows so large and the effect is Spiritually charging ⚡

For CBD rich, are you using a hemp and auto mix or CBD rich medical varieties?

Have you noticed any major differences between using a feminized seed mother for crosses vs a mother grown from regular seed? I have made around 3 hybrids in the past using feminized mothers but only grew out the f1 seeds. I don’t have much experience taking it further. What generation are you on from that feminized mother?

The cactus tincture is wild but I have even encountered people who evaporate the alcohol and just consume the extracted resin. Something to be extremely respectful of and cautious about consuming, as Huachuma contains various alkaloids that lower the LD50 substantially compared to other entheogens.

The Egyptian is absolutely fantastic and can finish quite early but I have been keeping them open pollinated while I select so the flowering time still varies. I think a early Pheno would do great in your garden but the plants do seem to be sensitive to mold (The Sinai is quite arid) I have even had spots of mold appear if too much water splashes on the buds during watering. That happened in a greenhouse so that could have added to it. But I also had to cut out some mold on the outdoor plants that was caused by caterpillar 💩 in the flowers. In my area that is the main pest besides aphids. My favorite Egyptians so far tend to finish late September to Early October.

I have made tea with Mullein and it was quite pleasant in taste and felt good for my throat and lungs. I want to make a tincture to do a lung cleansing. I read that taking the tincture for a few weeks can help to clear the lungs of all sorts of things and help to cough it all up.

I like this herbal bitters mix idea 🤔 do you take the tincture or any specific reason? Or is it an all purpose medicine? I do a similar thing during the summer when I trim up the garden. I take everything and pour it into a trash can filled with non chlorinated water and let it rot for a week or so. Watering this into the garden works like magic for developing flavors all of my produce 😋

I’m interested to follow along as you work on this years projects, please keep me updated.

Thank you for your kind wishes and concern my brother 🙏🏼 We are far enough away from the fires but the Santa Ana winds have forced me to cut down so tall Sativas just a week or so from perfection. I am just so grateful the weather stayed perfect for as long as it did. It was a great season 🙌🏼

Had to cut this Peruvian 🇵🇪 just a touch earlier than I prefer but she is still Peruvian of the Year. The smell is a mix of Banana candy 🍌 🍬 and gasoline ⛽️ with hints of vanilla cream. Vaporized samples are electric, focused, blissful and spiritual. A truly great active outdoor vibe. She is undergoing fermentation right now, we will see how her flavors develop after 3 months 🙏🏼

I have really enjoyed chatting with you here. Your positive energy makes the world a better place. Thank you! These days, it's so easy for me to get lost in toxicity and I really appreciate places where none of that is even a consideration.

I haven't noticed any difference starting a breeding project with the mother being a fem seed. Mainly I've just made f1s, but I do have a few that have gone to 3 and 4 generations. As long as a natural male is involved, I don't think it matters. If every variety were available in reg seeds, I would never bother with fems. But, especially with autoflowers, that's not the case.

95% of my smoking/vaping is hash, and I like my hash to have large amounts of CBD as well as THC. Really, the wider the range of cannabinoids the better. What I'll grow this year are a couple autoflowering CBD Kush varieties that I enjoy. I have loads of 1:1 CBD/THC photoperiod crosses that I normally would grow a few of, but I want to focus on other stuff this year. I also grow some CBDV rich autos. Have you ever tried any CBDV stuff? It really mellows out and enhances my experience with THC. Without lab testing, I don't have any idea about trying to breed with it, but I've liked what I've grown from purchased seeds.

I've never tried any mescaline containing plants. The only opportunity I've had was a friend who offered a giant serving of a horrid green slushy that he said generally just made him barf without getting very high. It's also really more long acting than I prefer... I'm more a fan of the experiences that last between ten minutes and six hours. On a loosely related note, I find that I'm very sensitive to large doses of high THC cannabis. For me, an entire joint of unbuffered THC is more trippy than anything that launches my consciousness into another reality. After much thought, because it didn't totally make sense, I've decided that depersonalization feels more unsettling than oneness or taking a personal journey to a very strange place.

The herbal bitters mix...I just love it! it was a combination of a few things I used to do. I make tons of tinctures, and realized that I was mostly mixing numerous droppers of stuff in a few different ways. So I decided to bypass all of the dropper bottles and start making a few mixes of adaptogenic stuff, calming stuff, and digestive stuff (which I still do). I had also made a more traditional herbal bitters. Eventually, I just started mixing up every herb I would like to take regularly into a super strong mega-tincture. It's kind of an ongoing family joke where I'll have what I think is a great about herbs, food, or beverages and I'll sincerely say "Hey! You know what would be great?" And then my kids or wife will laugh and say, "if you just mixed all of the shit up together?". At least 80% of the time, that's absolutely the correct answer. Anyway, it usually has a base of digestive herbs like mint, fennel, and artichoke mixed with things I like to take regularly like lion's mane, Hawthorne, ginkgo, and Jiaogulan. Then, I just look through the garden and dried herb cupboard and add whatever feels right for the batch. For most people, the taste is unbearable, but I've come to appreciate the potency and earthy layers of the flavors.

Thanks for your interest in my project. I'll start a journal fairly soon. I've found a few old pics and grow notes that I can start with while I wait for the seeds to crack.

Thank you my brother 😊 It makes me so happy that you feel positvely benefited. I feel tremendously grateful for the wisdom, kindness and insight you have shared with me. Thank you for contributing to my thread and to my personal happiness and wellbeing 🙏🏼

Good to know you haven't encountered any "negative" traits form utlizing the fem seeds as mothers. I have grown out a few crosses here and there that were f1s from such mothers and never encountered hermaphroditism or anything undesirable. However, I never went farther than f1 because I do not understand enough about how feminized genetics evolve later down the chain of inbreeding. It has been a minor inconvenience for me that so many autoflower varieites are fem only. I would like to see more regulars become available. Other than Flash Seeds, Joint Doctor. and Short Stuff genetics I am not aware of any sizeable selections of regular autos. I have some Flash Seeds Holy Man regulars I plan to sprout for this summer's garden. Praying I find males and females so I can continue the line (the breeder doesn't sell them anymore) and share seeds.

Full spectrum hash is heavenly 😋 and it is essential to have high CBD content to really bring out the best of the THC. That is what I loved about the traditonal style hash/charas I smoked in my youth. The profiles from hundreds of plants mixed into one finger produce an ethereal experience. Have you grown the Pink Kush auto? It is CBD dominant and very delicious. I grew it almost 5 years agon indoors and it was delightful. I have not yet had the pleasure of experiencing high CBDV but I have had experience with THCV rich varieties like Malawi Gold. Which CBDV varieities have you worked with? Had you bred any of those lines with THC rich types?

I'm curious as to what type of cactus your friend was drinking, because I once prepared some Peruvian Torch while I was in country and had been consuming large quanitites of Huachuma regularly and it did not provide much effect. I never tried it again because drinking that green, slimy, snot like brew is only worth doing if it has the potency to break through especially if one is sensitive to the flavor. Now that I spent so much time with the cactus I really appreciate and value it's energy, but because it lasts so long and is so hard on the body at high doses, I am also more in favor of shorter acting experiences. My sensitivity to cannabis is high due to the fact that I primarily eat cobbed herb in small doses (around 0.3-0.45g) and rarely vaporize. The occasions that I do vaporize it is a truly psychedelic experience. Even eating these small amounts leads me into a deep rabbit hole that is just as powerful as ayahuasca, cactus, or fungi. That is the magic of true high vibration herb that I love to share with others 😊

The more I learn about this bitters/whatever herbal mix the more I like this idea. I love earthy and bitter flavors and enjoy eating neem leaf everyday partially because of the intense bitterness. You are giving me a lot to think about for this coming season. I am definitley going to experiment more withe herbal tinctures beause of you. Have you noticed any particular benefits for your health and well being from consuming mixes like this, versus taking them as separate tinctures? Or is it just more convenient?

I pray you and your family are doing well, and that you are enjoying the winter season. May you all be happy, joyful, and may the causes for your happiness increase🙏🏼

Yes, I have grown pink kush auto from seedsman (claimed 30:1 cbd-thc ratio). I still have some seeds and will grow a few. The other auto CBD variety is that crossed with CBD cherry kush. The cherry kush seeds came out of some herb I bought online years ago. I think that must have been an early/50% auto genetics seed because I've gotten autoflowering plants from that cross.

The CBDV plant is also from seedsman. It's supposed to be 1:1 cbd-cbdv. The ones I've grown have been scrawny and slow to finish, but the effect is nice. For me, it's like CBD but much more effective. Sometimes I just smoke it on it's own for the anxiolytic effect. I tried to make feminized seeds out of it but didn't accomplish anything beyond wasting a plant and money on STS. I did make a CBDV x oneness that I've been growing in the greenhouse this winter, mainly just to see what would happen. I've got a few tiny plants... hopefully I'll get a few grams. From my experience and what I've read about THCV, I think the -V versions of cannabinoids hold a lot of promise.

Good luck with your Holy Man seeds. I remember reading something from a grower saying they really like that one. I've been really happy with the Flash Seeds stuff I've grown. I didn't love the Heaven's Haze plants I grew out, but the other three of his strains I've grown were great. I even got some freebies of something from him called Shaolin Master that I really enjoyed. It surprises me that his seeds aren't more popular. His autos are the only ones I've grown that are on par with photoperiod plants.

Concerning cactus, It was a long time ago, but I'm pretty sure my friend was growing san Pedro.

Convenience was the initial reason I started with the herbal bitters mix. I've been out for a couple months and I sure have missed it (thankfully I have more in the works). I have celiac and even though I'm very careful about my diet it's basically impossible to avoid contact with trace amounts of gluten from time to time. The solid dose of multiple herbs that settle the stomach has a noticeable soothing and anti-inflammatory effect on my GI tract. It's nice as a drink, a single shot in a glass of water. The calming herbs make it a lovely nightcap. Have you considered what kind of base alcohol you will use? I use moonshine that's about 140 proof, but store bought alcohol will work as well. 151 rum would be great, but I don't know if we can buy that in California anymore. I think Gin would be a ok... it's usually closer to 100 proof and already has some juniper. Or a quality absinthe, but that would make for a seriously expensive tincture.

Just as I have sparked your curiosity about bitters and tinctures, you have done so with me regarding fermented cannabis. After I make some fermented cobs, I'll try eating some as well as smoking or vaping. I gave up on edibles a few years ago because they would so often lead me down a dark, introspective path. I appreciate the value and power of fermentation in so many other things, no reason that I shouldn't do so with cannabis.

Here's my grow journal:

Be well my friend.

Be well my friend.
I dig that you are growing various CBD rich varieties, I have only dabbled in them because my grows tend to fill up quickly with my heirloom work but the progress that is being made with CBD variants is amazing 🤩 and now you have me thinking about this CBDV. Especially because you feel it’s more effective. When I first experienced THCV rich Malawi Gold I couldn’t believe how potent that herb was. I began to research the cannabinoid studies and learned it amplifies psychedelic effects and is an appetite suppressant which made sense as to why that herb made me so energetic and uninterested in food for much longer than other varieties. I’m very interested to learn more how your CBDV x oneness turns out.

Thank you my brother 🙏🏼 I grew it once before but didn’t get any males and so I pray this time I am able to reproduce the line 🤞 it’s a really nice variety just like the other stuff I have tried from Flash. I would like to pursue a breeding project with something like Holy Man crossed with my Peruvian. I feel that getting the Peruvian into auto lines would be quite worthwhile. I’m honestly surprised that you were disappointed with the Heavens Haze. With Neville’s haze in the genetics I thought it would be something nice. What was it about the variety that didn’t wow you? Did you repoduce any of the flash lines? I never heard of his Shaolin Master, what were the genetics on that one?

Thank you for this insight 🙏🏼 I have family members who have Celiac and it’s always great to have belly soothers. We brew kombucha to help with that but knowing this type of tincture can help is super nice 😁 I like to use organic grain free vodka and organic pure ethanol for extractions which is around 200 proof. My wife values quality so I like to invest in top grade ingredients for her 😊

Do you buy your alcohol or do you distill it yourself? I’m playing around with the idea of making my own at some point. Would be a really fun project 😎

Yes 🙌🏼 fermentation is the only way to true quality herb (my experience and opinion). Just how medicinal herbs have been fermented traditionally, cannabis is no different. It brings out the unique qualities and diminishes or removes certain “negative effects”. I always advocate for at least giving it a try to see if you like it. Chances are you will fall in love with the smooth smoke and deep character of the effects. Eating it is completely different than fat based edibles. I am not into eating edibles but I regularly chew and eat the ferments. It feels more like smoking but is deeper and longer lasting. 🙏🏼

Blessings be with you my brother 🙏🏼

Some of the clones taken from this years outdoor crop of Nigerian 🇳🇬 These came from a plant that forms tight little nuggets of pure “Narcotic Sativa” and smells of Childrens Vitamins. Going to pollinate them with some choice Maruf 🇦🇫 x Ethiopia 🇪🇹 males 😊

I took the time to read through all of this @Baba Karuna , your work with the Egyptian Sinai line is what initially caught my attention, but then I saw the beautiful Peruvian flowers you have grown! The cross you made of those two lines with the blueberry scent sound amazing and I look forward to hearing more when you get a chance to explore those seeds further. Its also enlightening to hear you mention enjoying and selecting for more spiritual effects. Your description of the pure Peruvian as being blissful, soaring, energetic, happy, upbeat, and high vibration is exactly the kind of herb I enjoy too. The first time I tried flower of such nature it really blew my mind how it can envelope the heart chakra with no anxiety in such a happy bliss. A lot of the modern hybrids definitely get you 'high' but they dont activate that special vibration, I often wonder what terpene or minor cannabinoid is responsible for such an effect. Lastly I have never fermented cannabis or tried any but it was interesting to see your finished products and descriptions!
