lol, first of all yes that is my "hevre" with the compost tea, but you never saw me recommending guano tea have you?
no
in fact, i have argued on this sub forum that guano tea is completely useless, i haven't used guano's for over 2 years since I did some research about it. Don't believe the hydro hype... where else can yiou get guano but a hydro store? rhetorical question
and FYI compost tea has a very low EC that would not reflect in the EC of the run off in other words, it is not comparable to bottled "nutrient" in any way . IE if your plant has a nitrogen deficiency compost tea will PROBABLY
not help as it is a booster for micro life, and you can boost microbes all you want if theres nitrogen (phosphorous, potassium etc.) deficient then thats the end of that subject.
the concept i am talking about is the same as any thing... you are what you eat. some people are comfortable getting their daily value from a pill that comes from a chemical factory. I will choose to get my DV from leafy greens and unprocessed food whenever possible. That usually means I put up with some facial swelling and intestenal discomfort and numbness, but hey the raw food diet is not for every one.
If my plants get the back end of these raw foods they will be healthier in my book than any factory "nutrients" can provide.
just a couple of pennies jingling in my pocket
