I saw that LBH's auto-Haze was Flying Dutchmen's orig. haze x auto AK 47,which haze did you use and which auto if I may ask Ch@ppers??
Long story short (gotta take the dog for a walk and it's just stopped raining) I grew out Zeds virus-riddled FON a few years ago, luckily I didn't have any other plants to contaminate and the cleanup (with bleach) was fairly painless.
The small amount of smokeable bud (I was apprehensive about smoking it) was fantastic! Loved it!
When I found out that Zed had destroyed all his plants/seeds in a virus induced lockdown, my heart sank and I immediately started planning my own version of the FON project.
I checked out various seedbanks versions of Original Haze and was about to buy a pack when I remembered that I know someone who grows only Haze, has done for years and won't grow anything else.
The guys awesome, late 50's, beardy, permanently stoned and stubborn as hell, won't even consider growing a modern hybrid.
Turns out this guy is sitting on exactly what I want/need. He's been growing the same haze clone since the late 70's...takes clones each year, saves some for next year and flowers the others, great stuff!
He still keeps his mother plants under old fashioned fluorescents!
Reckons he picked up the seeds in Amsterdam in the late 70's and that's all he's ever needed. The vigour has taken a hit with the repeated cloning but the taste and high is perfect. He says they were from Sacred Seeds (So probably Original Haze) so that was all I needed to hear. He let me have a clone which I put under 12/12 right away.
I had some LowLife' Auto AK47 pollen in storage, perfect match so a dab here and a dab there and the project was on!
The f1 gen was a predictable mix of the Haze & AK47 but with much more (hybrid) vigour than the Haze clone. The f2's showed the expected extreme variation. The best ones were chosen for the next gen. (I've got 2 seperate lines from this generation)
The f3 generation (of one line) is what I grew last year and was the first fully auto generation and now the f4 generation is looking just about finished.
I make it sound dead easy but the amount of plants I grew in the f2 generation to find the right parents was incredible!
I'll get some more pics soon, the growth rate is fantastic...they're huge!

Amazing plants and an Amazing effort. There are alot of auto haters, but there are more lovers, thanks for taking us along on your ride.
