A bit of a late start this year due to many reasons but I decided to try 2 freakshow cross seeds I got from 7eastgenetics last year, soaked 2 overnight, planted 1 as I only had enough potting mix for 1, planted the other the next day, first 1 came up a day or so later, other 1 hadn't surfaced after nearly a week so soaked another seed and planted it, 2 came up in the 1 hole, 1 died a day later but the other is doing fine, both show the freakshow trait from the first set if true leaves.

Hey yeah, if I get raided again I can just tell them they are Marigolds.
Maybe I should put a plant label on them saying that?
Haha ya man .... Well I really hope ya don’t get raided again mate
Maybe plant some marigold companions next to them too just for shits and gigs :)

Good luck with them..and good on you for putting that mesh above the seedlings. I just lost a few really good seedlings to Ms.Blackbird, that bitch...🙈

I was so pissed off..and then I remembered, the same shit happened to me the year before 🤣

I also just started outdoors a bit late...with some Autos. Fingers crossed that they like it..
I'm not an autogrower at all. I got no idea whats coming..lol

Happy growing everyone

Yeah with me it's just to stop them digging in the mulch and either digging up the seedling or burying it, they don't seem to eat them, now my precious strawberries on the other hand....that is until I put some chicken wire I just got around them, just have to make sure I can lift it off when I need to.

I was thinking of trying autos for 2 or 3 crops a year, lesser each crop but probably more overall.
Where did you get your seed and does it have good germination rate?

I got mine from 420 fastbuds when they had a special on a while back.
Most of them pop, but they are not anywhere near the quality of my karma genetics seeds.
How the weed is?..we will see when harvest time comes.
If they dont perform well I'll toss them and replace them with cuttings from all the other strains i just started.

Your blackbird sounds harmless compared to the prick I got here, it chopped the heads of 7 seedlings off..just the tiny mainstem left behind 😮‍💨...worst thing is, i only had them out for a day because i didnt find time to put the tent up. Bummer!

Yeah the blackbird just digs in the mulch in the pots and eats my strawberries, although the strawberries were only about 1cm diameter so I chucked the plants in the chook yard.

I had originally planted 2 seeds but only 1 came up so I planted another which came up but a day or so later I found a third seedling growing in the second pot which appeared to die, I discovered it a day or so later near the edge of the pot growing fine so I planted it in it's own pot, now I have 3 freakshow plants growing all showing the freakshow trait.

the other option is a winter/spring grow , if your day lengths allow for it ,
i can do it here , its a shorter grow time ,, but is reliably dry and warm to hot into flower ,
with the right seed its by far the easiest way to go ,
the yields are less is all , but i have used grow tents to get them up to size before putting them out quite successfully , im happy with half a pound to a pound per plant , and its doable ...
certainly better than trying to grow the same sort of hybrids through the rainy times ...
I also had big success last winter with a cross I made.
(THseeds) BlackAppleHitchcock x (Karma genetics) SowahhSherb
Even though I'm in NSW with its cold winter. They were started inside till they reached 20cm in height and then put outside with night temps down to -3⁰. They turned out very nice and had an impressive yield for something I thought wouldn't work at all.

I'll be trying again this winter to see how other genetics cope with the cold.

To the same time I also had some sprouting outdoors out of old soil which contained some seeds. I was blown away, the warm days must have saved them.
That was the first time I saw a seedling surviving minus degrees...lovin it😊

Nice looking freaks 😁
Do they show they're sex yet? Mine are just starting and I'm a bit behind in time..but not stressing,as I can just keep them under the eaves. The front of the house usually doesn't cop the morning due...I'm looking forward to a hassle free harvest
These are two of karma's RoseGoldxZtini.
The bigger one is a male

Yeah the big one is female (no nanners yet) but I haven't checked the other 2.

If I had my indoor setup ready I would take you up on the cut offer.

Atm I'm taking more cuttings. Maybe you get lucky and they're still around when you're ready.
Good luck for the rest of the sexing

Looks like I will be making some seeds, the second biggest plant is male, now I need to find out how to collect pollen and dust the female with it, I won't get much smoke from the female but at least I won't have to buy seeds for a few years.

The female is budding well, it's got it's stretch on.

If you have some cuttings ready for next years outdoor season maybe we could do a trade, some freakshow (Freaks Of Dank from 7eastgenetics) non feminised seeds for some cuttings?

Good luck for the reproduction..looks like you're as far as me into the flowering stage
If you can harvest some pollen, would you be able to send me some for my outdoor plants?

Have a big bowl and turn the plant sideways before you shake it. Just font forget that you're full of pollen yourself afterwards.

I'd probably do it outside in my undies and then head straight for an outdoor shower or something like that.

Water is enough to kill the pollen.

@Doug Dawson has a threat about it I think...or was that on OG?
