Good stuff, piffcat. Beyond the growth conditions, we get into drying and curing methods that also play a role in how cannabis smells, tastes and affects us. Here's an article about alcohols and terps that talks about how they can combine into cannabinoid esters. https://cannabislifenetwork.com/can-...binoid-esters/

With fermentation part of the dry/cure process, especially in cobbing, it seems that we should be testing before and after to see what's changed.

Thanks for article def gonna check this out. It's cool because In high humidity enviorments it's a neccesity to bury In an o2 negative space but it also turned around and changed profiles! What about uv curing and drying on the vine? I think using drought and uv protection bands can def make some cool transformations. I try to read alot about essential oil creation and extraction like vanilla for instance. Alot of our first reactions or passed down techniques may be working against us just like non stressed growing

Absolutely on the stresses, aging and uv, piff. I was thinking about how the hops for traditional pilsners are aged for a year or more to convert/decarb into softer rounder bitter flavors. The big fresh hops of a New England or West Coast IPA are more like where the retail weed world is currently. A real pilsner is a remarkable beer too though.

Nothing yet, just some potential potentials, but thank you for the thank you, sunshine.

I feel like my gardening style includes a decent amount of stress, as I often don’t get time for “maximizing” the process. Totally ahead of the curve. ;)

Here's another Purple Polecat cross showing the hairiness that pops up in some of the phenos. She had an intense lemon smell while growing, but the winter indoor flash dry robbed her of a bunch of it. It's got a nice mellow lemon and vanilla mix going now though.
