Arjans Haze #2 - V-Scrog tryout!

Dude, that setup was absolutely awesome. Way to take advantage of the leds. Its definitley cool to see someone not afraid to embrace new technology. You found out that lst and Scrog is def the way to get the most yeild out of the plants. I'll def pull up a chair for the next grow, so Peace! and good Growin!

I am looking into the SoG/ScoG method, 6 plants or so, im looking to produce alot of weed ( Enough for myself, mother, father and Grandfather, haha funny eh? ) We all smoke alot, so i need a conistant flow of bud, i understand you harvest SoG every 2 weeks or how ever you set the perpeptual up, but can a Scrog produce good amounts of bud? I mean, Is it a game breaker over the SoG ? i can wait a xtra month or so for a bigger yield..

Thanks for the cheering up... the bummer is "almost" forgotten, but not enough to remake...

Some good news here. The 5 slaughtered AH2 has now been in a greenhouse for about 1 month, and finally it looks like new shots are comin... so well they will be very very bushy if I can make them recover.
I read in another thread that it should be possible with a scrog like mine, to harvest only above the scrog net + bigger buds below, but make sure that theres some healthy leaves on all the branches. Then when harvested, put the scrog net 10 cm up and put the plants back to veggin mode and flower again when that time is up.
I dont know if it actually would work? any 1 here who knows? if it would I will be right back at scrogging... it wold be ultimative to save the plants and the root system for 2-3-4- maybe 5 grows? the biggest Arjans Haze #2 I have/had/still have hopefully ) have a mainstem thats thicker than 5 cm, so think they were pretty ready to go boom. Hmm, dont even wanna think about it... hehe

Now all my gear has been taken down, and I/we have found a new location. Its almost done, and when we (me + friend) are ready we will start a new thread. (name prob, something with single colas)

Setup:
Flower room 4x4x2 meters
Ground: 1/4 euro pallets in plastic, it was my idea to let the pots get plenty of fresh air from the buttom and up. They are about 15 cm high.
Light: 2x600 watt digital + 1 lightrail to 1x1000 watt digital.
Bulbs: 2xMH from US, claimed to give 50000 lumens and 2xSunmaster deluxe hps 95000 lumens + 1x1000 watt sunmaster 150000 lumens.
Walls and top of room completely covered in mylar (which side is out by the way? the one most shiny/mirror like?)
100 x 18x18x26 cm "quadratic pots) = bout 7,5 liter each.
Feeding system with 3 drippers to each pot.

Veg room 1x0,8x2 meter parted in a top and a buttom.
Light 4 x 168 grow leds each floor (my real oppinion about these are that they work REALLY great at veg, and nice not to heat up the closet too much + 2x30 watt cold floros each floor.
Walls and top of room completely covered in mylar

All together we will be vegging about 210 plants in my first grow, we will take a clone of each and every plant and througout the flowering / drying / taste / potency - choose me bout 45 keepers in round one. (thats what I hope I can make room for in my veg closet. It will also be the 7,5 liter pots.

Well... I get so high of the Arjans, and most cases it ends up with some longer threads here... hope not to boring.

After choosing my mothers the plan is to try out 2-3 different vegging periods, only enough to make the plants root up and then flower them and hopefully trigger some nice single colas... x 100 exact - hoping hoping hoping... would be a nice view. Well, the idea is to try out the 2-3 grows and find the veg time that suits our grow / and the strains that shows out good at the producing the single colas.

Wellll, we will see... also still a bit crazy about the scrog idea, but now I wanna give the single colas a go. Just wanna find the best way for me to milk the power of every lumes available.

At least it was a learning experience I guess eh. (Hard to think about it that way sometimes but nonetheless , mistakes always create little "never do that again" footnotes in my brain making me better for it. least thats how i look at it =D)
