They are part of the problem, and will push themselves or others selling infected crap. Why don't you name a few? That's what this tread is about.

I just went and looked at their web site and they seem to have Godfather OG. Any info on where they get their cuts because they also have GG4, which I lost to mites a few years back.Buds and roses is one of my favorite places.
No . But I've called them before and got quality Info so I would say do the same. Key lime pie, super lemon haze, grape ape I got from them and they were all on point and legit.I just went and looked at their web site and they seem to have Godfather OG. I have never grown Godfather OG before but it reputation is well known. I just know it all depends on the pheno/cut they have. Not much info on the web site.
I agree 100% with this statement. The nurseries cannot operate free of pests and disease, it is just not possible. My advice to anyone with a small personal grow is to avoid clones from the outside world. Grow everything from seed in your own space. Once you let that bad shit in it is almost impossible to get rid of. Easiest and best way top keep your grow disease free is to avoid bringing plants with problems into your grow. You have to have a specific area for quarantine, treatment, and aftercare. It's just not worth it. I buy clones often and there is something on every plant I ever bought no matter where it came from. It's a shitty part of this business. I have an 8 gallon bucket that I use to completely submerge incoming clones in for a decontamination bath, pot, roots, and all. That's still not enough unfortunately. It's a tough job keeping your grow safe from attackers. They are part of the problem, and will push themselves or others selling infected crap.

I bought all the stuff to do it. 2 ways, nodal and apical meristem. First way low chance of cleaning and 3 to 6 months. Second method need to be surgeon under microscope dissecting apical meristem to the point of somethind about size of spider mite. That take 6 months to a year.what's the consensus on at- home tissue culture to clean shit ??
i was never good at agar for mycology (tried to grow from wild- harvested f. velutipes, the best mushroom fried up fight me), but i know it's possible with a well thought out setup.
Could not agree more, and had to check that I did not write it. I am old. If 20 and lifetime ahead of me and dozens of acres in legal state, might try to win the seed mega million lottery. I want to start with something that has won awards, and have exact clone.I have had it happen, had to almost start over from mites.
Some growers, myself included, dont have the space to grow out 20-30 plants looking for a good pheno. Also in my experience, I am hobby grower, those famous pheons only come around 1 in a 10,000.
GG4 for one, was a once in a lifetime pheno. If thats not true then why do we hear everyone talking about it and arguing wether you have the "real" Josey cut? There are a lot of very good growers on here that get their phenos by gifting or trading with others. You can't swing a stick without hitting a thread by a well know grower on this site who is growing a cut they were gifted or traded for.
I have grown with seeds for 30 years but all my good cuts came from purchasing them. I dont have the skill set, or room to do a proper pheno hunt.
On top of that if you try and ask someone for a special cut , thats also very much frowned upon. I totally understand because I dont share my good fishing spots with anyone either. Its the find your own mentality. I have no issues with this thats why I have only asked one grower about a cut and he said, " no". Thats was just a few years ago and I respected his answer. Never asked again and been on IC since 2005.
Sooooo, where does that leave someone looking for that special cut thats talked about over and over again on these boards. No ones going to gift or trade you for one. The one accepted way is to buy it from someone who has taken the time to find and collect these special phenos. I say go ahead and purchase them from a "reputable clone vendor" just as the the thread name states.
If you iosolate your purchased cut from your main garden you dont have to worry , as much, about spreading infected cuts.

That is a major issue. Why a lot of the best growers left this site, was when they made a major change to interface. Used to have 2 dozens friends, and when you logged on was a list, showing who was currently on and would chat. So many left, and those that did not leave rarely visit. I used to spend several hours a day on here, instead of facebook. Now go weeks without even a quick look here. This is really not that hard. You don't need to have anything "to offer". If you go around forums begging for strangers to send you clones, of course you're not gonna get anything. Nobody respects beggars. Just make genuine friends online and mantain those relationships, the way you maintain relationships with your friends in real life. Befriend people because you like them, not because they have what you want. What's with the hurry. It's just a matter of time before you meet someone who has the clones or seeds you want.
I am in discord, whatsapp and telegram groups with growers I've met in forums over the years. We share seeds, clones, growing equipment and whatever is needed. Some of them are clone nerds and maintain a lot of famous clones. Some of them became friends in real life. In these kind of groups you're never more than 2-3 degrees of separation away from someone who has what you are looking for. There's really no need to deal with clone selling grifters.
edit - especially if you live somewhere where weed is legal.
