Back in the 2000s I grew a White Widow from Nirvana which smelled like rotten apples when it was harvested.

I don't know if that was a one-off, or peculiar to Nirvana's version of White Widow.

I think anything that develops certain terpenes can get you where you want.

I'm searching for a banana pheno and i'm looking also through Mango/Grapefruit/Papaya/Pineapple sativas and hybrids, because one change in the combination (quantity) of the various terpenes can make something unique or that resembles that smell/taste.

It all reduces to human's nose and mouth, you can easily trick our senses.

I grew Honey Banana from Elemental Seeds and it had a distinctive green apple smell when cured. Other tones were honey, cinnamon, walnut, and creamy vanilla. Really reminded me of my favorite dessert which is all of those combined.

While growing smell went from sickly sweet honey syrup and banana smoothie to a more nutty piney dominant smell with the previously mentioned going into backround.

Taste after cure was similar to the smell with maybe more of the walnut and piney thing but definitely had the green apple in it too.

Nice strain overall with a euphoric/mood boosting/motivated high which mellows out into a long lasting relaxed not too couchlocked social and happy feeling. Some phenos were more stony/couchlocked which i guess leaned to the Honey Boo Boo. Yield, resin production, vigor and potency is good but with polyhybrid pheno variation.

Also I have read that Kerala has green apple phenos but that would be harder to pull off indoors.

Motarebel Genetics offers a strain called peach juice, lineage is jackie o x apollo 13 f4. Nice peach smells and flavors to be had from that hybrid.
