subcool is a giant cak but some of the phenos found in his gear are top notch.you don't get to be as popular as him without there being something to it,even if his fanbase are noobs,noobs can still tell good weed when they smoke it.

I would have liked to have bought 30 + seeds of jack the ripper for selection of a mother but could only afford 5 of attitude 40 pound ,4 sprouted ,one never popped ,2f and 2 m ,chucked males and one mutt female so i had to go with the one female i had left ,smells amazing lots of white resin but a little leafy and a small yeild so im thinking of getting rid if only it had bigger buds id be well happy.when i get cash im going to buy 30 + vortex and have a go.cheers.

IMO he offer decent sat hybrids with many fruity choices good vigour but herm tendencies with the jc lines.. He does come across abit funny but he do seem passionate about cannabis and keeps his breeding clean n tidy.

I can recommend jc2 jtr Pandora's box<- nice phenos Tobe found, Dairy Queen deep purple & jilly bean

i've grown about 4 different tga strains--all were very tasty and crystally but always felt they lacked potentcy..this is just mvho.

I've done a few of his strains too... Plush berry, Jack the Ripper, vortex and crazy train... I enjoyed crazy train the most... I just see a similarity in all the strains I've tried... They were all worth the money I paid...

deep purple is good because its the one he had little part in making, that being said even that little part he helped he still fucked up urkle quite a bit with his space queen, so you will have to go pheno hunting in there, dont throw out the mutants! the mutations happen from the urkles inbred genetics therefore making them more urkle dom, they usually yield more too for some reaosn.

Thing I did like is the fact he stayed away from the big hype cuts.. Seems Tobe changing now he's filling shelves lol.

I've found some very nice phenos from his seeds just not the past 5 yrs or so

Never grown out TGA myself but smoked a good bit of it and had a buddy grow out Spudnik which was an Apollo backcross of some sort. I think maybe Chernobyl was the other part of the cross but my memory is a bit hazy.

Anyway it produced a nice end product with solid but not exceptional yield. Very frosty, not super dense but not popcorn either. Strong effect, muddy but uplifting like a lot of sativa leaning hybrids.

I think Subcool selects for flavor/bouquet first of all. All of his strains are unique and
different than the Chemdog derived strains popular today. Agent Orange, JTR, Space Queen, all have awesome aromas that carry through to the end product and beyond.
Props for that! It may not all be the most potent or resin covered bud in the world, but that's not his thing, anyway. (I don't think. Don't know him personally...)

He breeds with largely heterozygous plants. So his lines are almost all unstable. He has some BX's that are more stable.

That said I have smoked some nice The Flav and Chernobyl.

Prepare to do a major league pheno hunt if you run his gear though.

Also keep an eye out for negative recessives. A lot of reports of hermaphrodism in certain lines. Or at least great sensitivity to it. I am always slightly skeptical of reports of intersex/herm plants, but there are enough of them that I think it's something to keep in mind.
