bottom line for me is the Dirty formula works great for me in soil,I don't know anything else for sure except the constant nagging about who's who is very aggravating ~~

Let's keep the forums a place where people can share their feedback, not a place where loser's exchange sucker punches over insecurities. Whoever keeps negative reppin step forward.

Grow up and share adequate information and problem solved. Anything else is just cowardly.

I use 6.5 grams of dirty per gallon weeks 2-5 at 1.8-1.9ec in promix at 6.0ph. I've been using their +life powder at 5 grams per 15-20 gallons as recommended and my shit looks, smells, and is more beautiful than ever. information exchange, it makess people smarter. oh an keep your 1000w air cooled bulbs 2-3' away at all times and the room 70-78 degrees. 2#s alldaydank

I think that this, like most of the other threads on nutrients and fertilizers, should be kept open to facilitate the free exchange of information. I have no idea why this particular thread seems to attract the level of sniping that it does - I went through a hell of a lot of different nutrients before I found one that works well with my water and I don't continue checking the threads about the nutrients that didn't work for me in order to continue flicking shit at the people who are using them successfully.

I don't know, or care, if there are some hidden shills in here - as far as I'm concerned, that is a given with most products that are discussed on the internet. I do know that there are a number of people who post information here that I might be interested in working into my V+B usage. I also like to pass on any changes that might benefit others, just like in the electrical, lighting, and blumat threads.

Rives as usual you have expressed this eloquently, I don't know what the fuss is, each to their own I suppose. I like you Rives have been using another product( Canna) for a very long time. I got good results with that also. But it is much more expensive and I had about ten different things to mix all the time and was never satisfied that everything was just so, so. With V&B I mix and check the PH and EC and I'm good to go. One product and much easier, plus my plants seem to love it. So to me it is a great product with ease to use and very effective. Call me a shill if you like, I'm only here to learn and tell others of my experience~~~ don't want to see the forum shut down due to these trolls, let's try to keep it fresh and friendly around here~~

Rives is one of the most level headed dudes in this place !!! I don't think i've ever seen him go off on some asshat .... even if they deserved it . :tiphat:

If it didn't work or dissolve than I wouldn't be using it. Here are those diesel sucking up the Dirty and +life powder. View Image

No one says it doesn't work. I can't say that. What I CAN say is that THE DIRTY DOES NOT DISSOLVE 100%!

You will def need to filter it if you plan to use drippers. If you are going to go through all that hassle, just buy Jacks, it dissolves 100%.

You are right in saying the dirty shouldn't be used in small drippers. But the R/O version works great for me through blumats for over a year now.

It seems like everybody is hoping on the dirty bandwagon. Ive used both and I wouldnt put the dirty in my rez again. It makes flora nova look clean. Straight dudu balls on the bottom. None the less the results were good.
But I prefer the regular version. Even though there is some minor remains left on the bottom of the rez its still super clean and I seem to use way less than the dirty to reach the same ec. Excellent results either way.

With the RO V+B and my RO filtered city water I end up with 5.8 PH on the dot with EC from .6 to .9. Pretty sweet how the buffering works. I don't need to add any up unless my EC is over 1. From a single res standpoint, that is really easy. I just bought a bunch of maxibloom because this shit is waaaaaay to expensive! 1lb of V+B for 20 dollars and I'm dropping 50-60 gallons a week on just one light, coco dtw. That's a lot of money on nutes.

That seems like a hell of a lot of juice to go through for one light. You might think about blumats to match the input to the plant's needs without any waste.

We run 50 gallon drums as our reservoirs. One 50 gallon drum feeds about 20 plants under 3kw. For Veg and the first week of flower we fill the drums to half way and run Veg+Bloom at 5-6 grams per gallon. For weeks 2-8 we fill the barrels all the way up and run 6-7 grams per gallon. Our total cost for nutrients to produce about 5 pounds of top shelf is about $100. It's actually less because I use about 100#s of Dirty a month and buy it at the 25#price

5#s of top shelf herb for $100 in nutrients

Yeah i'm sorry but 50 to 60 gallons a week for 1 light ????? even a 10' tree outdoors wouldn't use half of that !!!

A 5lb jug of V&B ( $100 ) used to last me almost 2 months on more than 30 plants at all stages of life .... so 50$ a month was damn cheap !!!

I dunno. The pots may be a bit too big? 3 each in 3gal pot under a 1k. When they first went into the 3 gals I could water them for just a couple of minutes to get some runoff, but since they got established I've needed to run for 6 minutes a feed to get ~5% runoff. I water 4 times a day. That eats through 15 gallons of nutes in 2 days.

So about 2 gallons of per day per 3 gallon pot. Is that unreasonable?

I usually run 3-4 plants in 3 gallon air pots or smart pots, but under much smaller lights - I use (1) or (2) 315w CDM lamps or @ 450w of LEDs, and my plants peak consumption is well under 1/2 gallon/day per plant with blumats keeping the moisture level constant.

This was our consensus as well. Except we ditched it altogether and went back to House & Garden

Hey people. I am running KISS. Straight MAXIbloom.

Whats with it making the roots dull and pink? Secondly...what do you all run it at strength wise?

If I go over 1.4 EC or 700ppm, my plants dont like it. This sound right?
