HAHAHAHAHA!!! Love it, bro! Nice Biceps for sure! Time will tell bro...no offense, but I REFUSE to let anyone tell me what can and can't be. (and I know you don't mean it in a negative light) If it can't be, then cool, no big deal...but mentally, I will push myself that hard. The mind is a crazy powerful thing, and even the slightest thought can change body chemistry and hormones....I think we allow our minds to control / limit ourselves.... TRULY believing in success is 99.9% of the battle....

You can gain and lose way more then 7lbs in a month, that's not really that hard. But to build 7lbs of true lean tissue fiber in one month naturally is impossible.
I'd cut that cardio back to about 30mins 3-4 times a week tops if your looking to gain.
Your metabolism is based on the amount of lean mass you have, build the muscle you want first and don't worry about where your BF% is at, once you've gained a decent amount then work on slowly getting the BF down, it will be much easier with the new muscle you've added burning extra calories then before.

Well, one of my posts in this thread talks about a Muscletech Supplement stack that I did for 14 weeks. I have given things a bit of a rest (supplement wise) since July, and after my designated 2 month break from anything, I am now ready to begin my next round of supplementation....

Don't know if any of you other "gym rats" take anything to help you along the way, but I try to stay in the "all natural" category....so with that in mind, this is my work out arsenal for the next month...beginning Monday 9-07. I will also begin eating a VERY strict diet at this time as well....really trying to make the most of my efforts, and I know that eating properly is going to make all the difference and put me over the top, so to speak. The supplement cost for this month alone was $300. It only makes sense to go the full mile and start counting the aspects of food when spending that kind of money....

Diet will essentially consist of a combination of foods, that will give me (per meal):

1. 600 calories
2. 96g carbs
3. 70g protein
4. 7.5g fat

For example, one breakfast will consist of:

1 cup Kashi cereal with 4oz skim milk
1 cup cottage cheese with dried or fresh fruit (apples, pear, mango, raisins, blueberries, kiwi, banana)
1 slice of whole wheat bread
1 scoop of protein powder in 4oz skim milk

This essentially means WAY more cottage cheese than I care to eat...HAHAHAHA!!! But I really want rock solid, cut abs...and if this is what I must do (my abs have never been my strong point)....then this is what I will do. My long term goal is to gain 25lbs. of lean muscle mass, and get down to about 7% body fat. Right now, I am a solid 172 pounds at about 10% body fat...so I have quite a bit of work to do....

This is 31 pills and 3 scoops of protein powder daily....I fully expect to gain a minimum of 7lbs of TRUE solid, lean, rock hard muscle this month...and I also fully expect to have that washboard stomach...

But don't get me wrong...I will be spending any where from 1.5-2 hours, 4 days a week in the gym and a 2 hour weekly Yoga session to maintain flexibility. Will also be running a minimum of 5 miles a week and cycling a minimum of 30 miles a week...it takes HARD work and dedication, and I am willing to put in the time, to get the results I desire!!

dank.Frank

:woohoo:

Your dedication and discipline is admirable, Dank, but at $300 a month, wouldn't it be easier to just use AAS? Unless you have moral issues or health concerns, or can't source AAS easily. But I figure if you're going to be putting this much time and effort into training and getting big and lean, why not do it how the pros do it?

Those are nice muscles there ddrew :) 24" 's ?
Thanks, and god no, I wish they were 24in, lol.
I think my all time biggest(and this was taping them right after working out) was about 18in.
I'm a classic ectomorph, narrow shoulders, long limbs, very lean(skinny) I would have looked like david spade if I didn't train.
Being about 110lbs with a big mouth in Jr High resulted in more then one beating for me, lol, that summer after 8th grade I decided to do everything I could to move up in the pecking order at school.
Bought myself a cybergenics kit(i don't know if anyone remembers those)
Bunch of different stuff like in franks pic that came with a workout plan and diet, I don't think the supplements had anything more then a placebo effect, but the diet and workout definitely worked, got myself up to a bonecrushing 130lbs by the start of the new school year, look out!!!!
But each year I gained a little more weight, and then in college and after I gained a lot, got up to about 220lbs, pretty lean too.
These days I float between 185-190lbs, I'm happy at that weight.

i think we both took cybergenics around the same time lol if i can remember right i think joe weider owned that company cause his stuff wasnt selling much and he needed to boost sales

Yeah I think it was maybe a weider thing, god that guy was an assclown, incredible businessman for bodybuilding, but a self-important assclown all the same.
I like how he used to take credit for every single training style there is, he would say "oh that's weider principle #46, or weider principle #119, etc...)
Tell me Joe, if you invented everything, how come you were never able to achieve anything more then the build of an average 12 year old boy with yourself and your brother then?
I think I took about 80 jugs of his crash weight gain formula #7 as a kid before realising it was crap.
Plus I broke not one, but 2 of his cheap ass $100 home bench presses, that came with the hollow bar and the plastic weights filled with cement, f**king broke the the back half off of two different ones while racking the bar after benching, cheap ass shit, I'm lucky I didn't get hurt.
Also I think the guy was a closeted homo, always making new bodybuilders come to his office and do private posing for him, so he could give them "tips", yeah, ok Joe.

lol... I love this thread.
Frank, you're dropping an awful lot of cash on mediocre supplements. I couldn't imagine dropping $300 a month on anything other than my food! It's not the worst thing you could be spending your money on though, that's for sure.
If you haven't seen it, you should watch the movie Bigger Faster Stronger. They show how anyone can make supplements, with no FDA regulation, and sell them for top dollar making ridiculous claims that aren't evaluated by anyone.
Ddrew is right about being able to gain 7lbs of lean mass naturally in a month... Not happening. While cutting fat, the best you can hope for is to maintain your muscle mass. Good luck with your goals though, they're reasonable, and easily achieved with some hard work! Ddrew gave you some real good advice.
How about that Yoga? I've only done 1 class so far, and it kicked my ass. It's definitely part of my weekly routine now.

Regardless of what I think about most of the over the counter supplements, the real question do you believe you are getting something out of them? If the answer is yes, then great, keep taking them, who cares what anyone else thinks about them.

because sometimes giving people advice can help them get to their goals, quicker, unlike you who used Anabolic Steroids. Better hope you havent permanately damaged your sperm, your prostate, or even your body's production of testosterone and estrogen...be on the lookout for bitch tits and hairloss my friend

and frank, it sounds like you've been lured in by the marketing of supplements. read up on the true medical/supplemental value of the things you're taking.

yes, NO does increase bloodflow, but it doesn't increase strength. the most ive seen any NO product do was give me an extra pump which allowed me to get out MAYBE one more set.

creatine is the same way...THEORHETICALLY it's good, but 80% of people who use creatine don't really see any increase in muscle mass or strength (myself included)

you may feel these things "work" for you, but i don't trust any of the supplement manufacturers after speaking to a lot of their management and representatives. it's all built on hype, if you don't believe me look at the hype for Anabolic Extreme's 4-AD or whatever it was...they had success with Superdrol, a very potent anabolic steroid, and after the FDA banned them they took that "power of marketing" and used it to hype 4-AD which does probably nothing as their other products that came out after superdrol did nothing.

thats what preworkout supps are, l-arginine with caffeine and other stimulants. if i'm getting a preworkout supp, i'll take the Cytosport Fast Twitch caffeine-free.

Ah jeez Km, I didn't know about any of that stuff as I did no research before hand, wow, guess I fucked up.
You can say whatever you want to make yourself feel better about the difference in the way you and I look, doesn't bother me.

lol... I think he knows the risks of taking steroids... And if you knew anything, you would know that if he's off the juice, and his hormone levels are stabilized, he doesn't have to worry about bitch tits... Or the other things, as hair loss and prostate enlargement are preventable, and the sperm come back when you discontinue use. It's more about having a predisposition to those things, such as hair loss, and the steroids accelerate it.
Lots of people use steroids to achieve their goals faster, and choose to deal with the sides. Not everyone is honest about it. An like i said before, elevating your testosterone levels can have fewer negative sides than swallowing a bunch of pills that might make you a bigger, or might just overload your kidneys... who knows.

nope. i know dozens of gym rats who've been off true juice and AAS for years and are having dozens of issues later in life...why do you think the FDA banned it? what you just said has no backing, or proof.

second...ddrew...i came off the hinge for a second as i try to keep people away from AAS as much as possible and it set it off....my bad...but secondly, in all honesty if i knew how to take pictures with my camera without holding it, i'd take a picture, and if you're at 185 right now...i'm around 190 so we'd be about the same size. i was your size (without AAS ) when i was working for the supplement store...maxed 350 on the bench, now i'm down to 285-300. im very comfortable with my body the way it looks :)

There should be a set timer option in your menu, but that's fine.
I said before in an earlier post here that I hope I got away scott free with my past usage, and your right about some things not catching up to you till years later.
I have always been open about my past AAS usage with my doctors and had my blood work done several time during the period I was using them.
As far as my current Physician is concerned, he says I'm fine and doesn't anticipate any problems, I still keep my fingers crossed though.
I still look very good today naturally, that arm pic was snapped cold and pale, let me slap a little spray tan on and pump up a bit, it would look a lot better.:yoinks:
