Oregon is going to dominate for years to come.
you won't mind if we let them actually play the games instead of Black Friday shopping for a crown, do you ?
If Georgia is one of them, Oregon has nothing to worry about.
their game against Texas was their worst all-around effort i saw this season. and there are other teams. Miami thought they should be named Champions before the Sugar Bowl beat-down in '86... any team can win on any weekend. i'm looking forward to watching the potential UT vs Ohio State matchup, myself.

National Championships are won with defense. Oregon doesn't have one. I expect either Georgia or Texas to win it all, just my two cents.

What I was referring to with my "dominating" comment, was the fact that the Oregon program is one of the best in the country. Dan Lanning is an elite coach. He's the kind of guy that can build a program that wins consistently like Nick Saban did in Alabama.

The Ducks are the biggest sports team in Oregon. They're bigger than the Portland Trailblazers as far as fanbase that actually follows the team.

Nobody gives Oregon any respect. They didn't want us in the Big Ten. Well we just took the Championship. People were questioning if Oregon was ready for the Big Ten. We have an answer.

no arguments on this. (y)

THIS, i will argue with. are they not the No. 1 ranked team in the country? but nobody will concede the championship until AFTER the game is played... and there is a LOT of football yet to be played. the ball aint round, and we're talking about kids playing... nobody is out until the final buzzer & someone walks off with the trophy. :groupwave:

ND is going to beat Indiana. Then they will beat Georgia, especially now that their QB is done for the year. It wouldn't have mattered anyway because ND has the best combo of offense and defense. It will be Oregon and Notre Dame in the final and the ducks are getting plucked.

so it WILL be UT vs Ohio State. Oregon seems to think they are taking a fucking because they have to play good teams on their side of the bracket, and Ohio State seems to feel they got it in the shorts too. shouldn't playing for a National Championship be hard? there ARE no gimmes in the field IMHO. everyone has had the whole damn season to play their faves, it's time to buckle down and see what folks really have. :dunno:

Oregon can beat any team in it's path. It's a matter if they show up to play.

Good football on the calendar.

Boise State thinks they got lucky and next time Oregon won't be scoring 2 kick return TDs to eek out the victory.

IMHO only 5 teams had a legit shot at winning the championship without devine intervention. Oregon, Ohio State, Georgia, Texas and Notre Dame. Now it is probably just 4 because Georgia won't have their QB Beck and there excellent punter who always gave them good field position.
I say all this and ND will be eliminated instantly by Indiana.

didn't get to watch UT get their ass waxed like a new car yesterday, so no great loss. from reports, we lost our best RB in forever to an injury, and our (pretty good) DBs weren't up to covering their wide outs. our defensive pass rush was shown the door as well. i doubt OSUs qb even knows what UTs team colors are, he saw folks wearing it so seldom. oh well. good luck to THE Ohio State university as they head to play the Oregon Migratory Waterfowl next. ;)(y)
