I was just gifted some GG4... looking at yours I'm not so sure its real..

that's why almost give up trying to source cuts these days. Most of the cuts roaming around aren't the real deal.
perfect example is someone I know growing GSC and it looks like a northern lights and doesn't even come close to the appearance of GSC I see posted here. It does taste like those little animal cookies tho for what ever that is worth.
The other thing I hate about gifted cuts is you are relying on the diligence of the gardner it came from. While I respect the guy who just gave me Black Tuna immensely... sadly I had to break the news to him that they were carrying thrips. He's in full on sanitize mode now and I'm following a strict control regimen to keep them at bay. The cycle just came around and I noticed signs on one of my new clones so hopefully this spraying gets them before too many more eggs get laid. I haven't seen them in the soil or flying yet so I think I've certainly interrupted one life cycle. Hopefully this regimen does them in because one thing I hate is spraying shit on my plants unless it's food related.

Seeds or where it's at from now on unless something so exceptional comes along in cut form that I'd be a fool to decline

there is only one forum cut.
The GSC going around the clone houses is not the forum cut. I've toked the forum cut in Fresno last fall, what's going around BC in the open market ain't it.
If it is in BC, it's being coveted.

I'm only interested in finding the old hash plant I used to have. And of course who doesn't want the forum cut or chunky's OGKB 2.0 LOL

but yeah, the commercial cut from the clone shacks in the city was total NON GSC in every way,lol. I bet Tyne saw the same one we got up here because ours was lime green and looked more like a nebula x r sumthing. smelled just like some bunk BCBD seed Rock star my buddy bought a few years before,lol.

anyways, the internet circles are much different than the compassion club trendy scene kids, who are again separate to the commercial grower crowd... seems to me only the forum crew gets real cuts,lol...

some scene kid from van just moved up into our local with a bunch of cuts I want, but I think theyre all bunk maybe, like I said the GG4 looked darker, not as frosty, the king kush didn't look like my old ones but in veg.... we'll see I guess...

Pretty sure the GSC I got are real, just figuring out if they all Forum or if I got a DHN or OGKB as well, cause ones a little crinkly duck footed lady...

Not pretending to have my finger on the pulse of the Vancouver or van Isle scenes that's for sure. I left the lowermainland going on 8 years ago now. That said, and it's not an ego inflating bragging thing when I say this, I may be new "here" but my roots run deep and generally have very little difficulty reaching out and acquiring most popular varieties grown in BC and elsewhere. In fact I've turned down several offers recently for cuts that most people would happily snap up.
But like Rykus says, what is being passed off for GSC in the cash crop circles isn't what I got in fresno. That GSC was in a dispensary type packaging and was really nice smoke. The GSC I've seen here so far is a big green bush and has a very subdued, animal cookieish flavour. Trichrome coverage of maybe 1/2 of what you see in the GSC glory shots on the web.
I'm not a cash cropper, I'm just a guy who loves growing his weed but when I want something , I want the real deal, not the cash crop knock off (BCBD or otherwise)

Ive had some of the GSC going around the lower mainland and while good pot, it was a heavy narcotic stone. Which is what the market dictates I guess. I had a strong hunch it wasnt actual GSC and had heard it was a BCBD plant. After growing the forum cut, what is being called GSC around here, is certainly not the forum cut. It is very very tasty, has some strength and some legs but its still kind of clear and no burnout. Great day time smoke that will have you smacking your lips.

All that aside, I dont see how anyone could grow the forum cut for profit. I am very small scale and grow only to supply myself so I cant justify giving one of 4-5 spots to a plant that put out half a 1 quart mason jar of bud for flowering 10 weeks in a 5 gal pot. It is great smoke but the yield is pitiful.

I ask your buddy about the viper. Supposedly a really nice purple variety, my buddy got it up by Canim lake from some biker couple. I heard on hear it might be a blueberry of some sort...

Got 2 in flower and 3 more veg'ing up in the big shop... I think S1's as no females in first batch of seed, got a few more beans now too...

Can't wait to see your purple afghan x kemo!

But i can claim easily i got the real clone, not simply because i got it before the seeds was on market! Or because i'm half quebecer, it's simply because i got it from the hand of boris st maurice a long time ago!
