Not necessarily a huge BMW fan but I absolutely love M3s. That car tops my list of car's I need to own in this lifetime (that have a somewhat reasonable price lol). I've been hooked ever since a friend of my dad's took me for a spin in his before I was into cars at all.

Edit: Id take an M5 as well :YaRight:

About 20 years ago I had the pleasure of driving a late 50s 507 for about 500 miles. Top down on a sunny day... I was hired by the former owner to deliver it to the buyer .
It was an AWESOME ride. Wish I could afford a car like that....

They really do drive better than every car in their class. The ride feels better too.

i'd like an m5 as well...with the exception of the m3 i think any of the cars that don't have a v8 are super overpriced and not worth it, i'd much rather have a suby sti than any piece of shit 330...also if u get the automatic u shouldn't buy the car...

that's the old 8 series...they were sweet, but broke all the time...

fwiw M3s race against 911s in many series so i think most would take exception to saying they aren't 'sporty'...don't get me wrong i like porsches a lot but i like a car like the m5 that is all sports car and can still move 5 people around in comfort...golf clubs don't fit in porsches either, i don't care what the dealer tells u lol...

I wouldn't mind one. Nice cars and reliable.

I'm a huge car freak.

Sorry but I laughed really hard when I read reliable, no Euro car is reliable.

Wow Capt.Ahab you drove a 507?! Damn lucky mofo! I hope you had a smile on your face the whole time!

I am the biggest BMW fan there is ^_^ Except I only like the old ones.

I drive an 88 M3 and it is the love of my life~

It is my dream to own all the old bmws from a 2002, 88 M6, 88 M5, 95 M5, 97 M3, M1, Z1, 8 series, Z3M coupe.

New bmws dont have that raw feeling as the old ones do. Now its like the ultimate driving machine for the rich stuck up person. You only see pink popped collared guys driving the new M3 and you literally see them everywhere! And you treat it as if you saw a honda. While you rarely see the 88 M3 and are driven by true enthusiasts, and you cant help but stare with delight when you see them.

On old ones the console is angled torwards you so it feels like a cock pit as if the car is only for you, the drivers car. Now they are flat and absolutly ugly as hell.

I think BMW Porsche Mercedes area all reliable until they get old and people don't maintain them properly and the start breaking all the time.

I know BMWs are very expensive to repair.

out of all the euro cars I've read that Porsche is the most reliable. but if you want super reliablility toyota / lexus is at the top.

That is a joke right?

I would take an NSX over any asian car, actually you won't find me in an asian car unless its a beater or an NSX.

BTW NSX are one of my top fav cars.

Saix, all new cars don't have that "raw" feeling anymore lol, it's becaue they are filled with sound deadening, noise reduction, everythings computer assisted etc. They are damn fast and comfortable but they are not fun anymore. It's because most of the people who buy them are rich older guys that want a highclass ride that's fast, smooth and comfortable.

a lot of porsche fans don't like some of the new model Porsches also because now a Porsche comes with cup holders and computer assisted everythng.

I don't want a car that's filled with higtech electronics, tvs, airconditioned seats etc. I want a driving machine.

bmws are still nice obviously but I wouldn't get one if I was looking for a sports car.

I don't like any asian car. except maybe lexus if I was looking for a luxury car, or subarus for a 4wd car.

bmws, mercedes and porsches are all reliable unless you have an old beater. My family used to have lots of bmws/ mercedes as daily drivers, they were all reliable but they were not 20 years old and beat up.

the thing is once a bmw or euro car breaks it'll cost way more than a domestic or asian import to fix.

this is the only BMW I kind of like.

all bmws are nice but they are more family cars that are "sporty", I want a pure sports car so thats why I'm a porsche fan.
this is pretty much exactly what mine looks like, although mine isn't as in perfection, and has different rims
IMG_0798.jpg

that's not "sporty"?

i like the e36 body style. the new styles i dont like. the style peaked at about 94-98 but then they changed it to E46 and ever since then it's been goin down hill. especially those new 7s, they look horrible.

regardless, they drive better than any other car i've driven.
