HIJACK NOTICE:
I've got some MK Ultra seedlings in the veg room too, DB. Hearty strain, but seems to underperform (yield) indoors. Still a quality smoke and a solid strain for meds though.

Weather here in Southern Nevada took a turn towards the pizza-oven. 104 yesterday, 110's for the next week. Summer's here. Oh joy.

Playing with a small outdoor garden again:
(PokerFace, Space Bomb and Grand Daddy Confidential. (my own cross) PokerFace has been out there since mid to late March, the rest since mid May. PokerFace (top left, bottom right in the photo) tried to flower, but I fought it off bravely. All are in active growth phase now. Thinking I may have stuffed too many girls in there, but there's 400-500 gallons of soil in that hole.

I have been crossing it with Gainesville Green, and Herijuana.
RT made a cross with it called E.D (Eclectic daisy), that I'm quite fond of.

Getting some good 7th inning stretch with this one.

I sent some P.F. seeds to my friend in California.
He crossed them with "Skunkjack" and sent them back.
Got high hopes for that one.
Growin' it out now.

I hope our host is crossing it with the various "dawgs" I've been lusting after.
How about that O.H. do you need more original seed?

The Eclectic Daisy is the same strain as the Grand Daddy Confidential, I think. Too many crosses, too little memory. The name Eclectic Daisy went over like a lead balloon locally. Got tired of taking shit for it, changed it back to it's parental family name, lol. (GDP x L. A. Confidential)
I've heard of that PokerJack SkunkFace before, lol... Really hope it's a solid cross. But I know the breeder and have no doubt it's legit.

I'm out of spin. Seriously. I've tried, and failed to write this post for a couple of weeks, expecting, no wrong word, wishing, that things got better.

They haven't. It seems that if you wish in one hand and shit in the other, one hand will be empty, and the other will stink. I'll leave it up to you to divine whatever wisdom you wish from that little pearl....

Let's just get to the ugly and move it out of the way.

Of the last 40 some odd days, by my count, today included, only six of them had no rain fall. There was a seventeen day stretch with no sun at all. Just rain. Even without the Roundup, I was doomed.

Roughly 15 plants went down the toilet, and another 10 were reduced to salvage, taken down and blasted. That'll leave a mark. Worse yet, my timing is now shot. And that, I fear is where the trouble waits.

Uh oh.... I feel the spin coming on. And I thought it was dead.

When you start off a year, there are many paths to take to get where you want to go. Time closes some down, what you choose to grow, when you plant, and all the little decisions that come with this job close other paths off. Then there are the mistakes. Yes, Roundup sure fucked a bunch of potential paths up real good. Endless rain will turn all your paths to mud. By the halfway point, where we are now, the time to start down most of the conventional paths has been past.... there is no way to get there from here.

Or is there?

Look. Fact. I told you this somewhere back in the history books, on average, one year in five sucks. The last four have been....ok, this one, by the law of averages should suck. And so far it has lived up to it's sucky reputation. I don't expect it to unsuck anytime soon. Eventually, it will, and when it does, maybe, just maybe I can snatch victory from what should be a write off year.

Granted, the chances of this working, are slim. But I gotta pick between slim and none.... where do you think I'm gonna go? It would require the rain to slack off at just the right time (doubtful, but El nino's are known for the dry Winter) Green Harvest will have to stay away for a month (possible). And I will have to produce a large quantity of a wide variety of starts quickly (done).

You, me, the guy from France, we all know it as a Hail Mary. For this to work, the defense (GH) has to miss the overage. The rain can and I hope keeps falling until the overage is to the point the rain no longer helps. Then we get four weeks of sun. I take the entire overage Labor Day, bringing my numbers right in line for the next GH. It also launches us into the dry part of El Nino, a dry Winter would be a nice bonus.

Chances of this happening? It already is. Chances of this working? Not good. It all depends on a sunny period that probably won't happen. But it is a possibility, a reason to keep this going. And it's either that, or the gunshot in the bathtub.

Hey DB.... You must be having great weather because we aren't. There was one phenome of the SCM/SKD worth saving. Unfortunately I tried and failed. And no, OH does not feel honored with two posts....what he feels right now is gas, nothing a good dump won't fix.

Kalo..... I'd bet the borg were both places and have been there for a long time. Besides the borg here are long gone. All you gotta do to get rid of them is leave your starts out through 17 solid days of rain and they are done. Even better with all the rain, the starts are growing faster and stronger than normal.

Rusty.... No problem on the non hijack. Looking better than last year, that's for sure. I will put up some pics of the "monsters" later this week.... nothing to write home about. Did you say there was 400-500 gallons of soil or sand in that hole? Soil, you should do fine.

Green Harvest flew last week. If you look back in these logs you will see they always fly right about now. July 1st is the beginning of the new fiscal year so they gotta spend whatever is leftover from the year or lose it. This time the rain that is plaguing us jammed then up. Both mornings they tried to check out the area the clouds came down and drove them away.

So, of the three things we need to complete my little Hail Mary, two are in place. A flock of untainted starts awaits. The next Green Harvest is at least four, probably six weeks away, so we will be lacking adult supervision. All we need is some sun..... it could happen.

The gulch is fully planted, with no empty spaces. It reminds me of many of my ex girlfriends, good from far, but far from good. At first glance it looks ok, but upon close inspection.....

These are the biggest of the Scogis from seed. Just a light brushing with the tainted sauce knocked two feet off of them. It was even debatable weather or not to frame them out, but with all the rain....

From the looks of things, Summer so far, this year, has yet to show up. We are still stuck in Spring..... or worse yet Winter. I have yet to hear of a fish getting caught (in a regular year countless would have come up by now) and even bait is non existent.

There is the very distinct possibility all this could be for nothing. Feed all this into the grinder of an El Nino year. That would suck.

The only thing I saw was the stuff in the finding weed in Hawaii thread. Since I have not heard that Ige will veto the MMJ bill, it looks like there may be a bit of clarity on what happens next. But unlike the various county police departments, the Department of Health is a big, slow, bureaucratic beast that seems to get sued quite frequently..... and loses. To the cops Mike is a big tar baby. A grey area. A sleeping dog. Why do the DOH's job for them? No upside whatsoever.

Is he breaking the law? Hell yes! I think...... He is in possession of more than four ozs? I'd guess yes. Is he selling it? Looks like it. Do you guys really pay that much for an oz? It looks like Mike is from Oklahoma.... looking to get in a bit sooner, like before the paperwork. He'll make a ton of cash, until the State falls on him.
