Anima's quest for the BEST!

Just caught up on this one and it looks nice. Anima get yourself a ppm meter they are great and give you a good place to start with (because unless you are using RO water your water should have some base ppm). I got a cheap one ($20-$25 with shipping) off ebay that reads into the 1000's make sure when you get one you look at how high they read you will find a lot on ebay that only go to 999 and that may be fine for some but at some point I always go over 1000 ppm so I need to know what I got. But now I am also getting to the point where I know by adding how much of a certain additive will add in ppms.

Overall good looking except the yellowed stuff at the bottom but the buds don't seem to notice so if it works don't fret.

well i'm not using Flora nova series ...but as i understand its a 1 component fertilizer....so its not used at the same time....maybe a little when you change to flower .....but i'm thinking not

i think its normally used for hydro setups ..but it can be used in soil...just dont go as high in PPM's as you would with hydro...(aprox 1500 ppm's)
i just explaind above how much i use in soil....

but i did find some good info for you...ohw man dont you love google... :headbange .

FAQ's of the flora nova series ....

Hey Anima, just chimin' in. You know, I've been hearing for years now that there's supposed to be a remake of Goonies in the works. BTW, my plants have bounced back from their pH problem. Still haven't gotten a meter, though. I'm semi-broke as well; that seems to be the case more often than not. Can't wait to see those A11 buds.

Welcome redslayer187!

And now the pics:
Gonna start off with the babies (Cali orange bud in front apollo 11's on the sides):

Not doing bad at all.

Here is a pic of the cherry sativa leaning pheno SDxAK runt's cola:

And here is the other runt (SDxAK)xAK:

This is the SDxAK that I brought in from outside:

heres where it split right down the middle:

And now here is my furthest along (SDxAK)xAK
Plant shot:

budshots:

Trichomes:

I just got my PPM/TDS meter, but I haven't got a chance to play around with it yet, for their last feeding I gave the 7mL of FN bloom per gallon, instead of the 3mL or so that they have been getting, and they seem to be loving it so far..

I soo wish I had a time machine to go forward and sample a bit of the finished product...:canabis:

...and now that thats done...time to smoke!

that's neat, can you get another picture or two of that from a different angle?

also how do you get the sparkly stuff (trichomes?) that is on the leaves to show up? mine is starting to get that but it's not showing up very much in the pics.
is it just the blue filter/glasses or is there something else to it?

Core-
TML-Thanks buddy...I'm ALL about the frost!:jump:
SG-Thanks man :rasta:
MGJ- thanks for stoppin by man, glad you are diggin on my work  My leaves will stay green yet!
BR- heya man thanks a lot!
R99- Ole buddy I'll get more pics of the split, but not for awhile because its the biggest and most cumbersome pot and it's all the way in the back...it looks just like the pic...that little branch in the middle is attached on both sides by a small ribbon of vascular material, it probably won't help things yeild wise i'm guessing...

The way I get those trichomes to show up is with a halfway decent camera (well it used to be at least), a tripod, closeup lenses (not just blue sunglasses..:nono:), PLENTY of light, oh and don't forget plenty of trial and error.
Don't feel bad if all of your pics aren't coming out as well...I have spent more on camera equipment than I have my canna-hobby by far...Just been playing that game a bit longer y'know?
Your best bet (if you have a digi-cam with a closeup/macro mode set it to that, and turn the flash off) setup a tripod or some stable surface so that the camera doesn't shake AT ALL, if you have an optical zoom on it zoom all the way out (wide), light up your subject from multiple angles (I used 2 20W CFL's for those pics), and just start clicking away, moving the camera as close as possible while staying in focus, vary light angle and intensity(distance).and if your camera has the ability to vary exposure time I suggest you experiment with that..thats about all I can hope to tell ya without getting pretty in depth...

Not to mention that this just happened to be an awesome cross.

Your jock should get frosty, but it might take awhile longer because it's a hardcore sativa, they don't really start looking gooey till after at least 50 days or so...

That plant with the split looks crazy :yoinks: ! You've got pretty good camera skills. I bought my camera specifically for taking pics of my plants, but that was three years before I actually started growing! :nono: It's pretty outdated...but it still works.
