Hey thanks for stoppin by and the props Dog, and Pontiac.

Jack- yup the thrips are still around.. I have been keeping them to a minimum with a mixture of neem and safer soap and water... but as soon as they go into flower I just sit back and cross my fingers.. I have gone on several adventures to procure some spinosad.. The only success was at a garden shop around that had spinosad as a lawn spray.. the bottle was meant to be hooked up to a hose and sprayed on the lawn.. I kick myself for not getting it when I saw it... Do you think this would work?
Anywhoos.. thanks for the tip.. If it works soo well I definitley wont pass it up next time.

here's the bubba at 55 days.. and some dry tester nug shots:

Glad to be here

Glad to be here

Ok fellas as per my regular routine I have disappeared off the planet for a bit and I am now back!
Time to get some growin goin!

High Low- Yo bro! thanks for your props... it all has to do with the closeup lenses bro... you can use a magnifying glass (basicly what a closeup lens is) and hold it in front of your camera.. and with a lil experimentation you can get some close shots.

hukka- thanks bro

briguy- Thanks to you as well man! I hope I have a better Halloween next year.

Ghostwolf-who you callin old? this thread has been seasoned with age...

Core- aww shucks core... you have a pretty green thumb yourself.
puff puff passn :joint:

Ok as for whats goin on...
Bad news first: the headband clone died :wallbash:
but I did get a northern lights clone to replace it with..:dueling:

I have also been doing some remodeling to my lil growspace and tore out the cab for the 150w.. and expanded it into a replica more of less of the first cab.

I'm about 3/4 done with the remodel process, and I have the original side back up and running with some skunk#5 plants that had kind of a rough start (pH probs, (neglected), and still fighting with the thrips). I need to blast them with my safer soap and neem spray.. it seems to wipe them out of my hydro side quite efficiently.. but I'm still on the lookout for the spinosad to kill off the population in the veg cab.

Heres some pics
Of the original cab with the 2 Skunk #5 plants veggin away:

And of the New cab's 400 watt HPS in a cooltube and my home-made hood:
picture.php

Still gotta paint, and install the flouro lighting, and figure out a safe(er) way to get the electric hooked up... then I can have this side up and running like a champ!:woohoo:

Still nothing going on in the new cab yet. I'm waiting for some clones to root up... probably run the ole boomstick again.

heres a shot of the skunk #5's veg progress... looks like I'll be flipping at the end of the week or so.

Thanks keeper!
I cant wait for her to start stinkin up the place again with her roadkill skunk stink... It put a big smile on my face when I went and checked my clones ---the smell that wafted out of those cups-- WHHOOOOOWEEEE Shes a stinker even in veg.

Plus there was a whole lotta rootin goin on so into the new system they go for it's inaugural run. :woohoo: (yea I skipped the paint:wallbash: )

Heres some pics of the new system with the lil boomstick clones in it and the other with the Skunk #5 doing it's thing about a week into flower:

I also have been trying my hand at Grafting to make a multistrain mother (click for linky)... I tried to do a bubba to skunk#5 and a boomstick to skunk #5 but I don't think those are going to make it.

picture.php

I just did a bubba grafted onto a northern lights and I think I might just be successful.. although I didn't get pics of it this time... The only thing I did diffrent was use a WAAY younger/shorter (thicker stalked)clone to be the rootstalk, and cushioned the clothespeg with a couple layers of plastic wrap. and I am putting it in my clone setup that will keep it warmer than my regular veg cab.

Thats all for now..

Heya keeper my bro...:friends:
I was talking about the boomstick's stink..Just read it through and realized I never specified... The skunk #5 is actually a "low odor strain"...it leans much more tward the sweet side with major Tangerine/orange smells going on later on in flowering.

Not the boomstick though...it smells like a dead skunk in the road at 50 paces downwind. From clone to bud. when it finishes it gets some cherry aspects too..

And about the grafting-- It is the next day and the graft shows no signs of wilting... I think I might just have pulled it off... Third time is a charm, so they say... That is going on the back burner for a week or so- so that it can just sit there and chill- and heal up good enough to move it and get good pics.. I think that was part of my problem at first- I was trying to do a photo shoot and try my hand at grafting at the same time.. Didn't work out too well.. so one at a time. I'll keep trying no matter what though

Also another exciting tidbit for the journal---
4 NEW SEEDS SPROUTING!!!

2 Flo (dutch passion circa 06 or so)
2 unknown "bagseeds" from a bag labeled "desk cleanup" in a smaller cellophane labeled "Top shelf". I think one of them has some sour bubble (cross?) in it because of the shape of the seed (kinda forms a triangle if you look at the seed butt-on)..I dunno I just remember the trait..

Also I wanted to do a lil holiday shoutout in to the cyberspaces to MGJ too... I hope you are having a happy holiday season :)

In fact I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season!!!
Peace and kindness,
