that big CFL should work you wonders... i swear by the 50w blue spectrum econolights

edit: i had a self integrated ballast-CFl burn out on me once.... just like with light bulbs youll get defective breadboard ballasts. it depends on the company and quality control of course.

I've yet to fire mine up yet. I wanna build some proper connections to handle the 125W...I've heard proper fixture and higher rated cords can improve your bulbs life expectancy.

Yup I have had trouble with one of these bulbs before. I got one, had it all setup, and then it proceeded to fry it's internal components and emit the smell of electronic death after only 3 days of use...I pretty much wrote it off, and I didn't really expect a replacement, because I didn't want to pay for return shipping, but after the guy who sold it to me found out, he sent a replacement at no charge, so I am giving it another shot..

3 days ? yesterday i baught 2 x 36w flouros to add in my veg-cab, 1 of them went out as soon as i switched on 1sec of light lol & the other one 2 hours later lmfao. I'v never came across such crap as this so i added 2 x 23w & i'm adding more.. at least those 23w i'v been using them long enough now but they'r philips, those 36w were some other brand.

I really like your setup Anima. Excellent use of space! I don't have a big area myself, and appreciate what you've done. You won't be disappointed with the sourbubble - it is a frost machine - they need a good veg though, mine didn't stretch an inch.

Thanks ninja-The CFL is still going strong, and my plants are loving it!
TML-Good idea with the higher rated cord- it will end up saving on the electric too because there is less resistance using bigger wires. Good luck to you too bro. Thanks!
sg55-sorry to hear of your misfortune using the CFL's, I recommend looking into the high uv output CFL reptile bulbs if you are ever around a pet store. I useta use them and they have always been of very high quality and have always lasted until I broke them (one lasted 2+ years), and they also have about 2x the penetration of regular CFL's (you can get good growth from 4 inches away instead of 2.

Right to it:
Bad news first: The Larger SDxAK is showing signs of a massive hermie outbreak I'm about to give it the axe...
speaking of the axe and moving on to better and brighter things; The sativa pheno apollo got the chop yerserday..it definitly has an interesting smell...kinda citrusy/sour maybe a hint of pine/cedar...should be an interesting one!
The bubblicous plant is looking mighty fine too, it really packed on some sparkle!

All of the 4 plants (An ak47 F2 that has shown female preflowers, a BBH clone, and the 2 sour bubble babies) under the 150 have about outgrown their space, and it's time for them to make the move to the flowering cab soon..

ok what else...the clones...1 Cherry pheno sdxak got trashed due to some fungus gnat maggots, leaving one more still with no roots...both of the stickyberry x ak47 clones are still going strong and one of them has already rooted to the bottom of the cup its in showing off some color, no roots yet on the other one...
Reveg is starting to occur on the Cindy pheno apollo stump I think I'm going to call this mom "Cindallo"...not completely imaginitive but...
I also hae a cali orange seedling that needs to go into the bigger pots as soon as their current occupants are moved out...
and I have also sprouted more seeds!
2 more Apollo 11 F2's and 2 seeds that came from my blueberrryX(northernlights#5Xnevilleshaze) (BBH) I am not really sure about the male side of these beans, maybe flo, maybe ak47? I really don't know.
Anyways thats it for now..I'll get some pics up when I'm able...Peace all

yea that hermie crap happens...luckly I think that it had mostly sterile male bananas, as I found no seeds in my bubblicous, but it did seed itself...I'm throwing the beans away.... nobody needs to deal with that kind of nonsense..I'm not throwing the whole plant away because although it was only at 50 days or so it still looks/smells pretty good, and the tester nug I smoked was all out diesel and it reminded me why I keep popping those SDxAK beans...The stuff just doesn't mess around, and the taste /smell is right on diesel. I like it.

Heres the newly repotted clones (Stickyberry X AK47) on top and left, (Cherry pheno SDxAK) on bottom, and Cali-O on the right. and you can see a leaf or two of my BBH mom on the far left:

Flo, Bubblicious, Stickyberry X AK. Front right and just behind and to the left is the Sour Bubble babies...far right is the AK47 F2, and just behind that one (and to the left) is the BBH clone:

The bubblicious is at 66 days and will come down when it's good and done (I estimate another 4-7days)...the Flo and Stickyberry is at 28 days, and all the rest are on day 1 flowering...I'll get some macro shots of everything when I can find the time..
