TrichCrazy i can tell your fairly new to this site and even tho topping can create 2 - 6 tops per plant does not mean your going to get bigger buds genetics , light intensity nutrients , and room environment all play a key roll
you can even super crop to achieve the same results with less stress and losing a top

He already stated that he topped his plants, but he did his last topping one week prior to flipping his plants. I was not advising him to top his plants, i was advising him to top them sooner then one week prior to flipping.

I am pretty sure we all here understand that environment plays the biggest role in success and yields.

Kinda seems like you are bashing this guys grow here to me?? I thought it looked pretty good myself. Whats wrong with giving a guy props for finishing out a healthy crop? Even though it was not strain he was hoping for, that's a bummer.

For this style of growing topping is important for more colas, not bigger.

They can crowd the canopy if not enough space. Their is a sweet spot for how many times to top a plant, It stunts growth and needs more time to get big and more support for more colas!

I've been topping the fuck out of the next round, I have 40 that are lined up ready to go.

To bad they are not Animal Cookie.


I should run them for the fun of it!

yes it would be worth your time to grow any Cali strain

O ok.. Im frm ohio so the only animal cookies that ive heard of has ben the bcbd strain.. I wish i could get sum of them genetics from cali lol but until then im on a seed hunt kuz its no clones available close to where i live.. I hope u get what u are looking for next time tho, good luck wishes

I didn't want to say anything, but you are correct....not the animal cooks. Still very nice canopy. Very few have the animal cut. IMO grab the forum, platinum, or pcg cooks. They are readily available, at least in Northern California. Looking forward to more of your growing, thanks for sharing.

It is a hard one to track down. Not many have any real cookies.

I agree that every strain has a ceiling for crystal production, but I have to disagree that adding a MH (Specializing in a Spectrum that is not HPS specific) will not be beneficial to a room full of only HPS Bulbs. I have a hard time discussing specifics with ppl. b/c I try not use words like 'the best', 'the worst', or 'every, always, never'. Will a single MH bring out 'the best' of strains, probably not, will it had a little to the mix, yes.

While we are in winter, and it is cold, and all the indoor bud rooms are happily humming away, a ballast hanging 3 inches from a burning DE bulb is great. We've had multiple negative degree days/nights here in Oregon and Heat is great.
However, the other seasons are not so kind to heat trapped in the grow rooms. Show me some thermostats in spring, fall and the dreaded heat trap summer, without the ability to separate and cool ballasts and we'll talk.
If these types of units are being used in warehouses, and are hanging at 15 feet above the ground and this works, great. Mendo's grow looks like a much smaller area with less ability to vent and separate. I was being specific to this type of grow when I commented on the Gavidas.

I doubt any. Hunt down the clone only versions. Forum may be an s1 but it is great and available. Purple city genetics and buds and roses cut are great as well.

I dont know any growers in my area that have cookies so for me clones kinda aren't an option. If i want any form of cookies i have to find a viable seed source. I cant just walk into a disp. And get cuts or seeds. So there is no seed cmpany out there that has legit cookies????

There are lots of seed company's selling cookies crosses you just have to look. I mean shit connoisuer genetics sells them on seedbay. You must not be looking to hard to find cookies because there right in front of your face when you log in everyday.

Im not looking for a cookie cross . I just want actual gsc. I was looking into bcbds but after reading the reviews on them and cali connect, im starting to think im s.o.l on actual cookies. Only site ive ever used and can vouch for is the tude so i stick w it.
