Guys i tried the whole program it yourself thing and the best i could do or find was 1channel. The rest were crap.

Then i orderee a box from amazon. Preprogrammed by the company i bought it from. I dont think its advised to tinker with these preprogrammed boxes. They update themselves very slick.

I ordered them for resale but when i tried 1 i was very impressed... soo many free tv channels i was blown away!!! All languages!!! Well the most popular ones for sure.. movies... and it maintains itself...

I got the mxq pros. S905 chipset!! Important to know what chipset your getting. S905 is a quality strong chipset.. pretty sure the company was leelbox.

Think there r some newer models but im seeing the s905 mxq pros for cheap. Like 40 bucks.... preprogrammed by the nerds who made them r key!!!

I really don't want to buy another person's or company's build. I was a lead engineer for OEM PC manufacture for over a decade.

I built a windows based plex server but it is kinda pokey on old hardware, I want to use linux/android and kodi or similar interface.

Anyone running DIY media servers?

I got dahenchmen installed and it has some good stuff for sure. I still cannot find global tv or sports that work. I try castaway, ccloud, channel pear, prosport, sportsdevil etc. Can never find working streams for baseball or football. I have the required addons but nothing sports related seems to play. The couple of spots that i find global tv at it just doesnt work. Says working for a second and then stops.

Trust me guys. Best 50 bucks u ever spent. Theres sports. Ppv sports. Most in sd but some come in hd. Theres lists of countries and their respective cable tv networks. The time u will spend getting this kind of setup isnt worth it for a normal guy.

I stream everything without the use of the box. I tried Kodi on the computer for a while but found it was more trouble than it was worth. I guess they're good for people who are not tech savvy.

Theres really no tech savy involved.... As long as you can watch a you tube video and follow along thats about as tech savy as you have to be.
It opens a whole new world to you and saves you so much cash.
After you figure out basics you yp your game and LEGALLY.... yes thats right....LEGALLY pay like 13 bucks a month for premium iptv service that will have all of your ppv in full hd as well as most other regular channels in hd that are pretty darn reliable as long as you have a decent internet connection.
Smoke a joint an watch a few videos by the time the joint is done you will be halfway there to being a kodi expert.

This is EXACTLY why i suggest you guys take a look at a decent premium iptv provider. You can get great service that works a million times better than the free streams it will blow you away. Most will even let you try it for free first so if you sont like it you dont have to get it. I personally like the ufc events. I figure 13$ is a small price to pay to have all of my events in full hd, Not to mention Every sports add on there is nba nfl nhl, baseball, soccer.... the lost just goes on an on.

Any that you recommend? Im finding numerous places for the sports but nothing that plays. There seems to be a lack of canadian content. Especially the previously mentikned global tv.

Do not do this. I can't say enough...Do not buy PRELOADED boxes. This is a big no no in the Kodi World. These guys on Amazon and Ebay, that are selling preloaded boxes are compromising the whole game, not to mention ripping you off. Just buy the hardware, the raw boxes. All they are doing is typing in a url for their wizard build(which is likely out of date, has ads, or will soon go out of date, and you'll have to factory reset anyway), and selling them to you for twice it's worth...all the while getting the attention of the piracy hawks, towards the very developers that bring you this free entertainment. Developers have pulled the plug on some great addons b/c of these dicks. Not you sourpuss, I bought one when I first started years back...but it's meant to be free, open source entertainment for everyone rich/poor.....just buy raw new/used hardware, there's instructions here, and everywhere to get you up and running...:tiphat:

This is safe however, if you guys want to do something like this. Are you talking about Dexter Pro? His links start right up instantly, b/c he's able to bypass some dependancies. They released the Clu TV addon a few days ago, it's free, and they have a select amount of Dexter's channels, great HD, and start right up. Then you can upgrade if you want for around that. Dexter's guys and TvAddons devs are having a tiff right now over being free loyalists vs pay a little on more private servers....I'm waffling since it costs a lot to run them, but it's supposed to be free. Kind of a mind vs heart thing I guess... edit: Clu instructions: http://bestforkodi.com/install-clu-iptv-kodi-addon/

Have a look at Minix Boxes, but Shield is King right now. This site has a lot of dual boots to play with linux/android... http://www.geekbuying.com/

I found a workaround (I'm not tech savvy, but hey! I gots xbmc baby. )

I am having a hard time after two years finding new great movies. scene peeper has lots of links to great movies I did not see anywhere else but no English subtitles available. I just write down the titles from scene peeper and go to salts and do a title search. subtitles to foreign movies in English work fine at salts ( stream all the sources).

seriously, if you are having trouble sourcing new video up to your standards scene peeper is delivering so far for me.

meraxes link enabled me to access scene peeper and salts. https://seo-michael.co.uk/

just watched pitbull, new orders last night. nice.

thanks again meraxes.

will these devices get all the NFL Ticket from Direct TV

You would be able to see any game, in any region, some Sd, some Hd, + Redzone. They might not be actual Direct tv links, but I have seen them before. Usually new addons and links are made before, and during week 1...

Which hardware would I need to watch kodi and browse internet on my tv, if that's possible? The Shield seems like it would be nice but I really only need Kodi and a web browser on my TV. I don't have a "Smart TV." Also what is a good remote to use with these systems?

Soery guys fires in my area makin it hard to get online. Dexter pro is cool I am also testing a few plex servers next. Dexter pro seems to be one of the better services, Canadian content is kinda notoriously harder to find on iptv.
Very VERY important to get a preview of any service your not familiar with. Dexter is safe an pretty proffesionally run support can take a minute sometimes bit usually users on the faebook group work together pretty fast to help of theu can. Dexter is also pretty good about posting about issues so yoir not thinking its just you.
Im testing out a few plex servers now that seem pretty solid i will let you know how they work out as well.

It's like as long as I get my Pats games, and UFC fights in at least decent standard qual I'm hesitant to pull the trigger on a paid service. I'm evolving on this tho, and would like to know what service you're talking about, is it Dexter or something else... Feel free to pm, I just want to know whats out there brother...:tiphat:

Look at the mad catz mojo, it has the same chip as Shield for half the price. Minix boxes also. They run kodi great w/ good browser. Under 50, go with Tronsmart or M8s which were a little bit of a pain in the ass, but do the job. Buy it raw, with no preloaded, fully loaded bullshit. I'll help you get it going, or help, and the urls you need to program it are everywhere including youtube...:tiphat:

I use Dexter pro currently but im testing some plex servers that are pretty cool so far. I really want to reserve judgement until i see them in action on a large ppv event like ufc. A few services are advertising 4k events coming soon, i will be testing those too.
Dexter has SEVERAL links for each ppv event feom 1080p down to sd with different bitrates to accomodate your internet service. I get 60megabit down so i go full 1080p. It might MAYBE buffer once or twice the whole event but catch up almost immediately.
Of everything i spend $13 on in a month i GUARANTEE once you set it up you will find its the best $13 bucks youve spent in a VERY VERY long time. There are other services out there TONS of em but of the few ive tried dexter seems most stable.
Theres some called Xstreams uhd iptv and Xgenerations i think too? They should be AVOIDED LIKE THE PLAGUE. They give out more excises than iptv...lol
Direct iptv is ok they have a service called mancave tv but ppv isnt gonna be as perfect as dexter.
Sportsmania is the undisputed iptv to have if your purely after sports, they have Every game match or event your lil heart could possibly desire in full hd very high quality streams but no regular programming.
These are all facebook groups i am speaking about by the way.
Facebook and twitter are the places to find these services.
Ive tried probably 10 of the major services but there are more and more options everyday.
The Absolute worst you could do is get sling tv. Its trash and expensive. But they spam ads everywhere, theyre owned by dish network so you would think it would be dialed but its really really bad. Lost of buffering and poor picture quality.
Feel free to pm me if you guys are curious about the iptv stuff i dont mind helpin with what i know at all. It can be tought to find information on if you dont know where to look.
