There is no liberty, no equality, no fraternity when you enter a coffeshop in Holland; you always have
the feeling that the only thing they want is your money; and after you have paid them you are expected to leave.
But where should one go??? To an hotel room? Sure, and pay money of course!!!

It is legal in Holland, sure, but is it nice, do you have a good time while smoking, can one relax there? Hardly, if you don´t
pay of course. I am against legalization; at least these monarchies should not be allowed to sell stuff to foreigners...
now that would put an and to it, wouldn´t it?

Now make an comparison in your minds inner eye. Imagine you sit in a civilized country, that is without a king,
where everyone is considered equal, like for instance germany, finland, poland, or even french...it is illegal,
sure, but I can assure you that you can go and sit in a pub an whole evening drink some beer and talk with people
in a relaxed way, and sometimes - not always but most of the time - you can lit up a joint...this is a fact!
And one thing is for sure, they will not call the cops...like in Sweden ( a monarchy ). Neither will they bust you when you
are on your way to an after party like they did with Snoopy dog...he was first in Finland, and I guess he had a smoke there alright, then in Sweden; he got busted...

*Ahem*
Snoop got busted because a neighbour from the hotel told that there is a thick mj smoke/smell floating around. Sweden has quite harsh rules, but so does Finland.

Light a joint in a bar in Finland and you may get your face kicked in by locals, at least in the smaller places. After that you spend day or two in the slammer if you're not slippery enough too get the hell out of that place! Many nightclubs have surveillance cameras even in toilets, so when you fuck up they print a frame and add that to the black book of no-entry. So you couldn't be more wrong about that.
Edit: They lose their licences if they don't show the door after spotting you using illegal substances.

Coffeeshops are business', their goal is to make money. If you can't stand that, stay away. Just like bars, you can't go into a bar/restaurant just to sit, read the papers and smoke a few cigs, hell no. They want your money because that's the way they get their money. I've been told to leave a bar because I only bought one beer and had to wait for a next train for few hours, you can't just sit around without buying anything.

When we were in Amsterdam we wandered around, stopped in coffeshops, bought some weed, fresh juice, sat down and checked what's going on in the evening. No one gave any negative looks toward us. They're not there for fun waiting some people just to come on in an relax a bit.

yeah right France!? the most cannabis repressive country in Europe, rofl. get a clue dude. light up in a average French bar and you will get your ass busted so fast you won't know what hit you.

but like was said earlier, with the way you behave here, i'm not surprised at all that you got kicked out after buying, lol.

no one likes an eternal complainer.

I hear Grey Area and Gypsys store are close, are they hard to find? I want to visit both while I am there.

the Seed Boutique is on single canal and the Grey Area is just across the bridge in front of the SB shop, on the other side of the same canal. once you find either one you can be directed to the other very easily, by pointing, lol.

I hate how the grey area is so small. They have pretty good product...its a shame ya cant enjoy it in their shop.

Last time I was there I had some Grey Mist(or something like that) scuff.....it was verrry stoney.

Only thing I smoke that was stronger was Barneys Helter Skelter...which was extremely potent.

i was just reading thru the thread and seems we have some disputes.
123 if u really are a member and not just some blogger or hussler of ur own.... let me ask you one question.
why is it that you seem to deem it appropriate (and not a complete waste of time?) to subscribe (even if it is free) to a CANNABIS forum and you proceed to talk shit on CANNABIS? doesnt that seem a little ridiculous? i mean im kinda a new member myself, but it seems to me most members are extremely tolerable of other views than their own, and other cultures then their own. thats part of the whole point of this forum and website. what the hells wrong with you man? personally america is much more of a money-revolved country than almost any other in the world... but thats just my opinion...... and as a last note.... if you dont like what someone else says, and if a subject is your total anti-thesis, then why not politely make your point? or just not say anything at all for that matter?????
peace to everyone
happy smoking

p.s. i wanna go to the cannabis cup (the ht one) 2007 but i cant seem to find any addresses or names of shops that will be involved, i wanted to get a hotel room near it all, unless its not necessary. i posted this in another thread too, sorry just tryin to get answers. is it pretty quick to get from point a to point b in amsterdam no matter where they are(if that made sense)? ive never been to amsterdam so i dont know!!!!

Yeah, this 123 fella is kind of a trolling little ass. I feel that he would have a hard time getting along anywhere.

On your other point, it is pretty quick to get around as the city is compact and the trams are quick and easy to use if you are at all familiar with riding a subway or bus. I stayed at one of the golden tulips hotels and was a big fan. Great room with free internet, lots of tv channels, big, etc. for 80 bucks a night and I could walk to the red light district/dam square in 5-10 minutes. There are 4-5 of the hotels in the city, be careful to pick the correct one.

you seem a frustrated person, with a strange choice of countries.

Have you had bad experiences in Holland and Sweden, too bad.

I feel a bit offended, being a Hollander from outside Amsterdam.
Amsterdam does not represent the Netherlands, and I sure hope you do not represent your counrty, whichever that may be.

Just stay were you are, or go to France, join some french boards, and start bitching off on us there.

Winer.
