Fascinating stuff man. I my start recycling mine now that im switching to dry amendments. Ive bought fish bone meal, crab meal, kelp meal and chicken manure, all organic. I figure adding them to the 50/50 coco soil mix, at a couple of tablespoons per gallon, should be enough for the sativas i plan to grow

I know i started this thread to find alternatives to foxfarm but theres not many options out there as far as bag soil goes. So im just going to improvise it like you guys are doing ✌️
I mixed up my own soil a few years ago.and return it to the soil bin after a run, mix in another bag of amendments, and use it again.

I’m sure all that compost comes from pine bark and such from the paper mills down there
I wouldnt be surprised if it was mostly just pine bark and a lot of worming castings. High in nitrogen but not much else. Then again I grew an indica using barely any nutrients.
You can pull it off with a short flowering strain

Tossing in a bag of EWC and mushroom compost doesn’t hurt a bit. There used to be threads here about mixing your own soil.

One of these daze I’ll send some in to get analyzed.
