ALF and the Fat B*stard AF's..

M

mossy

Wey hey..way to go pipe.... :woohoo:

If you weren't me M8..I'd have serious GREEN ENVY.. :yummy:

but since it's you...
I can be nowt but happy for you. :muahaha:

Even with a bad start to the season..you are going to have one Hell of a season..Deep Joy.. :jump:

You have no idea how much I am looking forward to seeing those crosses grow.

You got any AF males to go with the Carpathian..?.. :chin:

Poor Buttercup..I can't believe she has hobbled along so long with a broken pelvis..she must have a heart like a little Lion.
Karma for her recovery sent... :headbange

I have scrolled and scrolled and all I can say is even the runts look good.

We are having the same weather bpb too..
quite a few of his outdoor got mashed.

That is why I took the AF WR down.
I would have prefered more time..but she was going to get mold or let bugs in if I didn't take her.
I could see her suffering.

Good Luck with the ALF#3's.
First female here is a beaut.
Balanced..bud bound and absolutely bristling with health.

I have seen that leaf fault..but it tends to be if they have a slight stop after germ.
I will watch to see if it is more prevelent in the Afghan doms.

Thanks esbe, she is a sweetie-pie..... Really hoping for her quick recovery. She's got a big heart.

Thanks mossy. Yeah there was an autoflowering Carpatian male, and I pulled it because I thought it was an outlier... Then the next trip I see the other 2 starting to flower. One looks to be a female, the other I can't yet tell.. Sort of bummed I didn't leave it for mating.... Hoping for a male and female but if not, the stinky erocxdp male should work for us..

Gave away the runt black indy f5's but bertha, the slow growing plant was likely slow because a seed leaf was chewed when she was really young. Definitely growing out of it through...

Not sure if the lobe leaved plants hit a bump early or not.... I did transplant them somewhat young....

What were the alf#3's, are they the F3(Maz x lown) x White russian?

Stay tuned now for the season's thread.... Got a few more shots uploaded than I posted...

Got sun and near 90 temps for a couple days.... Then it looks like rain again! Like we're growing in a jungle or something... :headbange

My girl says high!

3 Chunky micks

M

mossy

Those Chunky M's caught my Greedy eye last year as well..
I like their growth pattern/colour... :yummy:

Our Afghan aficianado friend is germing too pipe..
I have asked him to try to assess the Afghan-ness of the crosses he grows..
% wise.

(I have this creeping suspicion that both kenz and me have rolled high afghan dominant af's...but we will see.. :joint: )
so we should have a better idea by the end of this season.

I phoned a friend..asked him to test for me.. :joint:

All I have back up to now is..
the AK-47 is F-off Strong..
(so why isn't it hitting Me.. )

The ALF makes you lose your Brain..

and don't smoke the Whore before a meal out..or you could embarass yourself with the amount you actually eat.

ah well..I will catch up with him at the weekend and get a full report.

31g's DRY on the WRussian.

M

mossy

You know when you strip a girl it is pretty standard.
Large fans..mid fans..mid leaves all come off... :chin:

Not so the Purple Heart.

This is as far as I could strip her down

everything left there is tric bound.
She is the Best coverage I have seen yet...on any plant..

This is a fan I would normally remove...

I am SERIOUSLY IMPRESSED.

That is one fuzzy purple heart! Can't wait to see how those seeds turn out.

Glad to hear we're getting another opinion, always welcomed especially from people who know their herb... I have high hopes for the auto afghan, I bet we've rolled them pretty darn close.... See how much closer we can get them.... We are on the right track. These things take some time... :drum:

Pretty good yield off the White russian! About how many days are the WR and ALF no. 2 running in vegetative growth before flowering? Whats the range we've seen? Whats average? :chin:

 Cheers Expertsetup....phate...
she is the one that has been putting out the incense smell too..
so I have High hopes on her.. :joint:

About how many days are the WR and ALF no. 2 running in vegetative growth before flowering?
Dependant on light levels..
16-20 days on the males
18-20 on the girls..
but watch them..they are like Hormonal teenagers...

I had a 3.5 week 4 inch male pollenate a tent full.
If the males are short..pick them up..turn them over and inspect them.

Look overhead for them getting a central bud like a chrysanthamum/daisy.
That is the males.
The girls will come in 2-3 days after.

i bet spain aint so much of a dry are at the moment heh...
hellofa rainy period!

Hailstones for the 1 st of June WAMEN..you wouldn't believe it.. :nono:
ALL my girls are showing lime green middles with the light drop.

The beach in front of my favourite Hostal is normally 20-30 ft wide..
this season..it is up to the steps..all the beach has gone.
Something says we aren't home and clear yet... :chin:

You would be surprised how much grief that glass table has saved my girls from.
Life saver when they are too big for the tent...

Ah WAM..
what I was saying about the THC difference on my Off-Season grow.
I was reading in the Maj Botany book about increasing THC production..
they say that there are many theories about stressing the plant etc..etc.
but..nothing scientic/calcuable..
Except an Arid climate.
Atmospheric..not the grow medium...

Now THAT would tie in with my off-season..:chin:
The predominating factor off-season for me is F-off high winds..
making a very arid climate. hmmmm.

Sea state prompted early harvest...but the results are Good.. :yummy:

Got about 130 g's WET/cutdown off the Purple Heart.

ALF#2 is a "Wiper"
she wiped two of my m8's out yesterday. :joint:

You can watch it happen..and it is so funny.

First few puffs they start to chatter..fast and excited..hyper
then you can see it hit them.

Bang...and they are wiped out.
Slack Jaws..hunched spines and a totally vacant look.
No-body home.

I understand what my m8 meant when he said his brain just went.. :headbange
you can see it on their faces.

They both rang to say they loved it..but they are not too sure why.

Ultimate chill pill...but not for going out on..
Do try this one at Home.. :muahaha:

:listen2: then we added WR to her..
then we are going to add the DC tomake ALF#4... :jawdrop:

:sasmokin: :sasmokin: :sasmokin: :sasmokin: :sasmokin:
I'M SCARED OF IT ALREADY..

pipe..results just from this seasons crosses..and purely IMO..
the F1 seedlings seem more dominant toward the Female parent in the cross.

We had a flood recently at our lake.... Got over a foot deep in our storage shed.... 21 inches deep in our neighbor's basement.... Coming up from the lake! You should have seen the overflow tube, I should have snapped a shot.... And we're getting another inch today... Seems like quite a wet spring this year where last year we had lots of drought.... Maybe we call it even now....

Thanks wamen, got some gardens to be proud of this year... :yummy: Good luck with the slugs in all this humidity.

Sounds like the ultimate fast indica.... Can't wait to see how these hybrids turn out...

No sexing with the Black indy yet... I only have 4 left though...

Looks like a good harvest, congrats Mossy!

Not all day but those wonderful, powerful afternoon storms. Anyways I did what you suggested when I germed a couple ALFs. I have never had seeds germ that quick!! Props to you. They are a week old so not much to show but I shall have pictures next weekend. Have a dandy weekend everyone :rasta:

:listen2: Right lads..gather 'round in a huddle...
this is for your eyes only..
no one else in the world has seen this.
ALFie baby #3.

This is her just on sex..bit boney...

but this is her getting her bud curves. :yummy:

She is Bristling with buds..
and if I am right..the larger one is just going to Woof.

I only got 3 fems..and the male I selected has turned very Pink..
so I re-germed about a week ago.
So that is Me..pipe..Meaty and WAMEN..all at about the same stage.. :chin:

OH NO... :nono: sounds like a competition to me.. :headbange

Quick..initial assessment of the new crosses.
AK-47 and JEM..do not get on.
I have re-seeded f1 and I will look @f2 before I decide on her.

AK-47 and WR are a good match.
@f1 they will be as good as the original parents.

JEM and WR are a good match.
@f1 they will be as good as the oriinal parents.

Both those crosses are doing exactly what I expected and I am happy with them. Standard.

WR fem to Fat B*stard...Exceptional.

Something has just clicked with this pair..
(methinks maybe an Afghan dominance.. :chin: )
The progeny look really happy in their own skins..
I THINK this one is going to be Special.

Dark Sider should be K-sider x B-indy if i dont remember wrong..
Cheers WAM..I am on ALF#2..my brain has gone. :joint:
Did you see them in pipes thread..?
Bonny girls.

Cascadia looks happy with herself..happy plant..happy harvest. IMO.

Thanks wamen, got some gardens to be proud of this year
You certainly have my m8..

HookaHittaH..
I am a bit stuck on that..
the AF was a freakie..
and the non-af was out in my natural 12/12..
that would have pulled her into flower
then I seeded her..
so I have really screwed her timings.
My guess on her would be to follow White Widow timings..because that is where I think her dominance lies.

kenz's Darcey.
She has stayed small like the WR mother.but she is tufty..and cute as hell.

bpb..purple heart looks like your kind of girl. :smoke:

Experiment.
1 Long season girl with AF's round her base..in the same pot.

Hopefully the AF's will finish before the big girl demands all the pot space..
just wanted to get an idea of the difference in growth patterns side by side.

M

Cheers WAMEN.

pipe..just a thought on the Bee swarm..
Honey tastes of the pollen that the bee's frequent... :chin:

If you set up your hive in the vicinity of your remote girls..
would the honey taste of canna.. :yummy:
