Albany Sour Diesel Clone

If your Albany cut of sour traces back to Farmer Joe, it’s the same as Cloney’s Sour D (which he should have never called weasel diesel. It confuses people into thinking it’s original diesel or something other than what it is, Sour Diesel.)

I got this cut from a good friend in So Cal, he got it from someone else and they have had it for a while. I do not believe it is the Cloney cut at this time, I’ll know for sure when I get to smoke it as I’ve smoked my friend Lobotomy’s cloney sour. I am a big fan of the Cloney cut though

Yeah I got mine through a friend, I think he got them on discord through gmo house of clones. Was told the AJ had some citrus to it which sounds off. But the 96 so far seems to be on point the AJ hasn’t been ran through flower yet. I’m really hopping for farmer to have a sale soon he has a few I wouldn’t mind grabbing.

With how many “sour” cuts are in circulation right now it’s hard to say the “headiest” per se but many of us here are enjoying the cloney. I have it if you’re interested. You can probably find most of the other cuts somewhere in this thread as well. Pure nostalgia in flower I’ll say that much

How long do these sour d/ecsd cuts go?
I had a cut of ecsd about 15 years ago that stunk so much and tasted so good. The only problem was you had to run it like 80+ days. If you ran it less, the high lasted like 15 mins lol but after 80 days it was a couple hours.

Only 9-10 weeks and the real sour d is ripe. Those 11-12 week flowering times are more for ECSD

This is the thing …back then …it didn’t matter who grew it. It was instantly recognizable….

real sour is not sleepy, first hour or so at least. it is weed that kicks your boots up and give macho confidence LOL your step is firm and full of energy. that is reason why I like it the most from chemdog family

there was this one i had, amherst sour diesel... not great for my body chemistry; made me depressed and anxious, although i'm pretty sure i also remember the typical hybrid lethargy i get. me no like.

i also remember a budtender telling me i wasn't the only one that had that depressed/ anxious feeling from that very strain... who knows?

those fake cuts are different. RIRI diesel french cut also smokes on dark side and is quite different to the effect of ECSD..

I remember that point when people started to drop ECSD cut.. because of long flowering it needs... it happened when first og kush seeds were available. I remember several guys who were telling me, they will rather grow ecsd x ogk than ECSD, as it is quicker and just as good... after 2 years same guys were asking me for ECSD cut hahahhahaha.

I remember trying it thinking man this is some really potent weed . All this new talk descriptions is so different to the ECSD from early 2000's sounds like the descriptions of the ECSD clone after broadmite pandemic, very strange.

The Original Diesel clone I use is crazy potent, 1 of the strongest and 2 joints and your red eyed up and won't be going for the 3rd joint.
Even 1 fat joint( 2 gram joint) at lunchtime can completely ruin your day , definitely not going for a walk after

Another thing is some cuts went 12 weeks but some only needed 10 weeks

In my experience ECSD is different than Original Diesel, Rez IBL (and the many many derivative lines of Rez IBL) and different than what goes around as AJ Sour Diesel right now.

What I know as ECSD from around 2007 or so was bright sour, lemon/lime Sprite aroma with a high that made you feel like a million dollars. Very potent but also extremely uplifting, 'kind' high. Extracts smell exactly like lemon/lime Sprite with bright "sour" and a touch of fuel.

I have this ECSD x SSH from seed right now and its got that what I call "bright sour" to it. LIke it actually smells sour, lemon/lime, etc. Althought honestly I find its a little watered down by the SSH. I'll need to look through more of them for a keeper, as I've only run 2 females so far.

To me the other Diesels like Original Diesel, AJ, Rez IBL, etc are still a bit sour but smell more like actual diesel, grease, fuel, earthy, kush etc. And like you say, very potent but can be more of a daywrecker. But yeah much darker smells and darker high.

That's just my experience.

But I didn't know Original Diesel being Sour Diesel was even a discussion. They are certainly not. I think the whole Rez thing mixed it all up. Isn't the going theory that O. Diesel is a parent to Sour??
