I grew out multiple packs of SS ak47 between mid to late 00s and found nothing but short BLD rubber smelling stuff with heavy highs.

Then I scored a NLD Clone of the late 90s release.

It had the spiraling bud sites and finished up all droopy like a weeping willow. Would get 10 foot easily outdoors. Had a soft kind of woody/sweet smell. Good Strong high but less heavy than the mid 2000s stuff.
Took ages to build tolerance to it. man it would make people white out and puke if they had a low tolerance though.

I made a cross of NL5(Clone) xAk47(2005) ......lol hated it, was to unkind, jittery, strong and dark feeing. Full horror movie high. Binned the lot

Had some at some arround 2000, still have the Original seeds.

It sucked. As FTL said, horror movie high. Will never grow them again.

If you want to sit around with no thoughts, like your brain takes a break from you, this is your stain.

Kali Mist sucked too, but in a different way.

I was just chatting with ol LouDog420.

He reported to me that this same newer batch of Joey Weed AK47 has given him hermie males when using the female JW AK47 as seed moms. I am going to make an educated guess that JW used hermie males to repro this batch giving rise to hermie traits in the progeny of both female and male sides of the line.

I am glad I chose to cull my recent male hermie TRSC Double Jamaican. That would have been a big mess! Guess I will hit the Jams with frozen THH and a bit of Real Sour s1 instead.

Its still got the Power. I smoked a little of this JW the other day. I was going through some older jars I am going to turn into gummies and that one is pretty damned strong even for just a random 2 seed pop. I have a few more packs to look for a sweeter pheno. Loudoggs looked insane this one was more sativa and longer. The shorter quicker one was not as tasty. This one was more sandlewood and very white. Looser bud too.

I don't remember the smell or taste. But I wanted to re-experience the AK47 and bought some from the original breeders more than 10 years ago and it was totally different, they were weak in effect and had a very specific smell I just can describe as unattractive.

I remember growing and purchasing white russian many times from roughly between 2010-2015 from many different people, and all was absolute poo, 1st joint gets you high, then absolute nothing.

The two plants on the right are Serious AK-47. While it may be my poor growing, these two plants are not the same structure. The one in back is doing well, the one in front is a runt that didn’t stretch much.

A very KIND member sent me some seeds to various clones from Cali over 14 years ago and one of them was an AK47 cross.
His Rez sourced princess diesel hermied due to power strip light
I too got rubber tire terps. We called her tire fire it was that foul.
However, her sister was an elite. An orange citrus/tropical lady that deserved her own line breeding.
There is gold in the line but it is one in 20 imo

Ak 47 from up north was fire unique smell like bad breath and something orange or tangerine and some sweet spice … nice up high that settled into a chill body stone lime green with orange hairs ain’t seen it since 2010-12

Would it compete with the top stuff today no .. it wasn’t even moving faster than the bubba at the time it was unique tho

There are some seed makers in Spain that made a cross between a Jack Herer cut and an AK-47 cut, most likely both being legit from the 90s or early 2000. They sell it under the very unoriginal name of Jack 47.

I've grown some of them. The result is strong and productive, but it doesn't carry the special terps and high of the Jack. And of course is not as uniquely day-wrecker destructive as the original AK-47 I know. They sell it as a 75% sativa, but we all know how deceptive these numbers are.

I keep a specimen with the idea of using it for productive strong hybrids. The smell is quite strong and nice, but a little aggressive. Nothing to do with the sweet and attractive scent of the Jack. There is a reason I keep that Jack... it is consistently better than any commercial sativa hybrid I test.

I'd also like to get these AKs that kicked out our young asses twentysomething years ago. Maybe my opinion would be different after all these years.

Sweet smokes
