I would use a Can Max 12" fan w/ a 12" x 8" x 8" fitting. If it is over kill you can get a speed control and tone the fan down. I would rather have the cfm's and not need them, than not have them and need them.

You would just use 1 12" fan for the 4-1k's? I'd be down for that if it is effective.

I use a 6" Vortex fan to cool 3 inline 1k's. 6" Passive intake-1k-1k-1k-6" Vortex (pulling), it has worked great for over a year.

8" Passive intake-1k-1k-1k-1k-8" Vortex (pulling) would work fine as long as 8" reflectors are used. Blazeoneup had the same setup in one of his threads.
