yieldmaster, coolsun, and a bell reflector testing today or tmw. Is there somebody who can standardize the charts and redo them all the same so we can compare. These are the last 3 I have to test, Ive tested everything I could get. Thanks

well im all out or reflectors to test for now. Im gonna see if pl will lend me some. It would be great if somebody made standardized graphs using the same colors for all the diffrent reflectors so we can easily judge them against each other.

Hi All! Nice info! What's the best choice Silverstar 6, or Radiant 8, also I see the color of
the charts are darker and lighter in color, is that because the light penatrates to the floor area better with various hoods with the darker color, as the Silverstar 6 is darker, than the Radiant 8 ?? Peace!

Remus, you could easily just cut off the sun systems plug and wire in a 120 plug. I have done this before with DIY ballasts. You could also make your own adapter with the female sun systems plug they sell wired to a 120 plug. That way you don't have to cut your cord if you ever decided to sell it or whatever.

man. growers are full of inginuity!
here is a ss-> hf adaptor i spliced to fit my balast with a 120v plug... could go the other way if u wanted.

not cheap, but very clean. 10$ for ss->hf 9$ for 120v 90o bent industrial plug. im very happy though.
heres adaptor heavin..120->hf->ss

It would be great, if we could get all the data compiled into one thread or if Pico could copy and paste it into his first thread.

I have time, I'll fool with excel and see if I can make some graphs later tonight

yamaha- it actually is all in the same thread.....just spread out over 24 pages now so a little hard to figure everything out. Maybe one of these days when I have some free time I will try to get everything cleaned up.

where is that little hammer at? :D

I mean maybe getting it all into the beginning of the thread or starting a new one and copying it all into the first 5-6 posts.

I read this whole thread just to find out the SuperSun 2 was the best which was already mentioned on page 2-3

Its great info, it would just help if it was consolidated.

BTW, can you test the SuperSun2 with a Lumatek 1000 watt ballast using a 23 day old hortilux bulb while angling the hood at 67.345 degrees and holding a cup of ice water with lemon and 7 ice cubes? That would help out alot. LOL

Thanks to all the guys who provided data. Saves me a bunch of headache on choosing my next hood

Pico. This was never mentioned. I assume all the lights in the room were off so the only light was from the hood? Not that a 100 watt bulb from the ceiling would affect your readings much

I finally learned to use excel and compiled all the data into graphs using the same scale and colors. I saved my work, and 3 days ago I spilled whiskey on my laptop and fried the f*cker. Took me hours, I also had my data for the test saved on there too. Im pissed about the data and the laptop.
