...como el Son...
The stake technique is used in Mexico, Colombian and India with ganja, dunno about elsewhere, but I've read about it being used in all three places.

In Mexico, they often do a 'crucifixion' where they drive two nails or stakes through the stem at right angles to each other.

Also heard of using wire to girdle the plants to achieve same effect and removal of the outer layers of stem near the base.

What the actual effect is, I'm not sure, it is said that the golden colour od some Colombian and Mexican strains is because of this technique, which causes the plants to slowly die.

Perhaps it is causing the plant to use up the reserves it has built up within itself, same thing we try to promote indoors by flushing before harvest.

Honestly, I dunno, it's something I would like to experiment with myself. I usually get big, thick stems on my flowering plants cos I use a lot of air movement and use liquid silicon, so I could easily drive some nails through em or remove the outer layers, I will try this with some sativas later this year, I was thinking of using the Highalnd Oaxacan Gold cutting I have and a Colombian Gold, see if I can get em to turn gold! lol

Hi.
...a old growers' legend in my land, too. But be sure that the golden color isen't becouse any nail...
Salud !

Psilocybo's Malawi Bangui

Psilocybo's Malawi Bangui

Two years ago, the Mexican grower n breeder Psilocybo, gifted to me in order of test it outdoor, his Psilocybo's Malawi Bangui.
Psilocybo bredded it "playin" with A.C.E. genetics (Bangui Haze X Malawi).
She was borned arround June-7, n here how she looked "from air" during September (the biggest n the most Sativa plant of the 4):

Resinando lentamente la Psilocybo Malawi Bangui a 2016-Noviembre-7.
Las fortísima lluvias continuas desde el 4 al 6 de Noviembre no le afectaron:
Aún le quedaba... (...y en la esquina superior izquierda, la mundialmente famosa Spanish Fly...):

Been enjoying looking through the photos of these African herbs.
Thread has been dead for a while, maybe someone will reply?

How many African landraces are there?

I've heard of Durban, Malawi, Nigerian and Swazi (which might not even be landraces for all I know?) but not a lot else, surely there's plenty more out there from other areas of the vast continent?

I see a lot of it seems to be Sativas but do you have any landrace Indicas?

Hopefully I've not wasted my time typing this...

nope, all sativa type plants.

How many African landraces are there?

Too many to count or document. Each area has their own acclimatized version of the same basic sativa traits but with some nice unique twists in some areas.
