lol.. GDP 7.5

OOOOOkay buddy.

I mean, sure... its a very personal prefrence type of thing. I think people try to be cool as say things like "I've smoked GDP, and it wasn't all that. It was crap!" just to be on the other side. But whatever, most people who touch the Grandaddy Purple (the real one...) love it.

Strange that you would have smoked GDP in Las Vegas. Curious even?

Hate to break it to ya dude but GDP is one of the most played-out, painfully mediocre commercial crops around. I enjoy it at bed time when I just want to turn my brain off and go to sleep but that's about it. No offense to any GDP fans, but it definitely is not top shelf connoisseur smoke by any stretch of the imagination. IMO at least.

And what's this about it being strange that he smoked GDP in vegas? You do realize that genetics have a way of making their way across the country and the world, right?

^ bullshit. gdp is some tasty, stony, fire. calling a strain "mediocre and commercial" is pure ignorance. it's the mediocre commercial growers that make your samples mediocre and commercial.

no stoner should detest some well grown gdp.. you'd have to be the pickest snob ever or hate numbing indica highs.

but back to the thread...
afgoo is definitely a great classic strain. never grown it, but i used to smoke it all the time back in the day. samples i had didn't smell fruity at all, more hashy and earthy sweetness. definitely some good smoke though.

well then I guess I'm safe...wouldn't call myself a "stoner," I'm a pretty big pot snob, and I typically do hate indica highs, especially the modern crosses that just make you into a tired, bumbling idiot rather than having some actual substance to the buzz. :tiphat:

Like I said, it has its place, but to compare it to the "elites" (and I mean the real elites, not the trendy wannabes) is absurd. And as I also said, that's my opinion...if you have a different one that doesn't me in the least my friend.

I fogot about this strain until I saw this thread. Definately one of the more unique flavoring strains that I've come across.

GDP is also very nice, it reminds me of fruity pebbles more than the afgoo.
