This is afgooey, I have had it more than once, both are exactly the same. The ones I took pictures of were just smashed a little.

Garlic, My friend did not grow, but his good friend did. Grown it more than once if im correct.

Afghooey is huge over in Las Vegas at the moment. Ive smoked it numerous times from multiple people, each time it looks the same, smell and cure vary but I get the same outcome... a crappy high. Lasts an hour or so, very peppery/skunky flavor. I think this strain is on par with GDP maybe a 7-7.5 in my book not to great IMO, but everyone has thier opinions.

I mean, sure... its a very personal prefrence type of thing. I think people try to be cool as say things like "I've smoked GDP, and it wasn't all that. It was crap!" just to be on the other side. But whatever, most people who touch the Grandaddy Purple (the real one...) love it.
Strange that you would have smoked GDP in Las Vegas. Curious even?

Why would it be odd or curious to get it in Vegas. You don't think this place is much of a market? There are so many freakin people out here that have strains available. Not to say you trust them, Ive been going to my same hook ups for years upon years now. I have purchased from a couple of them bags straight from the compassion clubs. One of my "friends" has cuttings from Sour Diesel, DPD, GDP, Jack Herer, Nevilles Haze, Blue Goo, Canalope Haze all which he cycles through yearly. I do trust what they tell me I am getting.
Maybe you had a pheno I haven't had or something, but Afghooey and GDP just did not meet my personal standards. I will say Afghooey has wonderful bag appeal very sticky and covered in trichs, and GDP has wonderful flavor and definate bag appeal, but that isnt where I draw my line.
Now not to offend but your statement of being odd and making you curious would be like asking how the hell did America ever get European, Asian, African, and Canadian genetics... Its just a matter of transport and if the person is willing to take the risk.

It's just slightly unbelievable, that's all. But yeah, if you don't like it, you don't like it. I'm curious what you DO like then, as I consider GDP/Afghooy to be about as close to a perfect 10 in the world of Indica as possible.
For growers, you have to understand that GDP is a 15 on a scale of 10.

oh hell i been looking for info on the afgooey plant !! i just got ti about 1 month ago well maybe 2 lol .. cause i have a bunch in flower!! ,,, anyway a friend gave it to me ,, and said with a eyebrow raised !! now this is one you gonna want to keep for she is a powerhouse!! now i haven't smoked this yet!! but am flowering it ,, and i can tell this is going to be some great smoke!! the smell is so fruity ! and i mean like grape bubblegum or grape fruity deep smells ,, and is frosty as hell ,, so we'll see ..
he also gave me a plant 1 time and told me the same thing about keepin it !! never told me what it was ,, just gonna see if i would listen ,, we'll i listen ,, and the plant after i cut it ,, he told me was black domina ! so he pretty much knows whats hot and whats not!! sure hope he don't let me down this time!

3 different prescription medications (20$ per pill) and nothing has ever worked....
It is like an ice pick stabbing me from behind my left eyeball....

Afgooey is a pretty airy bud.
High can be short at times. Depends, it kind of fluctuates. I never noticed a fruity smell or taste though. More musky and a bit of spice.
G.P. for your migranes, what do you prefer indicas or sativas? I would think a nice indica, like a nice purple strain. Or thats what helps me..

Xx...did you grow this or just sample it? I know for certain that the plant I have in my garden is infact the real deal afgooey, and it is one of the fruitiest I have grown. Very fruity.

that's crazy...lol. I know that I have plants that are in my garden that taste and smell differently than in my buddies, when we have the exact same plants. Things like environment, media, and nutrients can change the taste of the product.
