ZENARCADE

I like Canna, but have to agree with Rez..... allow lots of time for a good flush and be prepared to spend a few bucks......... I go back and forth between the REZ recipe with a few extra tricks and the canna line. Usually depends on logistics and what shop I end up at. A.N to me just seems like b/s...all markting and inconsistent batches.....

AN sucks.
Anything "you" can do with $1000 worth of AN,I can do better,and with only $125.00 worth of GenHydro nutes. Easily. :)
Oh,and my herb will stay lit and burn clean,unlike any AN-grown herb I've ever smoked.

;)

Anything you can do with 125 bucks of Genhydro I can do with 12 bucks of common horti salts. The Genhydro formulas are very basic and the fact you have great results with them just proves that you really don't need all the extra crap AN and others try to shove.

I think its ridiculous for anyone to be bashing poeple for using a certain brand of nutes. This community is for sharing each others grow methods ad experience. What works for some might not be the same for others. Im Can't deny the outrageous claims that AN has on their products threw labeling and advertising, but the juice worked for me.
Oh yeah, this is for you maryanne3087, thats funny. I wish the products weren't so damn expensive. show me ur set-up? take a look at mine.

Canna is also WAY over-priced and over-hyped.
Also,not the easiest flush. :)

I don't know how hyped I'd call Canna, growers hype the products way more than the mfg's do IMO.

I've got a crate of house and garden nutrients I got for free from one of my friends who is a sale rep, he tried to sell me some and I told him I was a GH user, he asked what I grow in and I said coco and he basically told me I could take this crate for free and just buy more nutrients when I learn to love House and Garden. Still haven't used anything but the roots excelurator.

Seeing as we all represent cannabis, and most of us are pro legalization those of us who aren't usually are pro medicinal use so we want the cleanest medical grade medicine possible. Now if you want medicinal grade pot you probably don't want to be growing it with 20 bottles of questionable product, has excessive heavy metals (although I still like organic pot, i'm a god damn hypocrite), use pesticides, plant growth regulators, etc. For the very few products that AN has that do have very good results/reviews I can only wonder if they contain PGR's, etc. Basically for anyone passionate about how cannabis is represented it is entirely their business to chew out people who use products that produce pot that can be scrutinized by those in opposition to our common cause. I don't have a problem with you using AN, but if I could have my way AN wouldn't exist, pgr's wouldn't exist in the cannabis cultivation world, etc. Take a look at integralhydro.com and their page on Advanced Nutrients.

I don't post up pictures of my setup since I'm not a legal grower and don't think I would even if I was. I might decide to upload a grow log through a puppet or maybe some single plant shots. I used to grow in ProMix, Sunshine Mix, now I'm doing straight coco and ebb and flow. I'm currently growing all multistrain from seed and use 6 x 600w Quantum's with Hortilux bulbs. I use General Hydroponics Floranova and Flora nutrients with additional calcium nitrate, magnesium sulfate, humic acid, citric acid and I suppose an occasional dose of Kool-Bloom all to taste basically I only add stuff that's already present in the Floranova formulation. My room is controlled to +/- 2F, humidity stays constant, and I don't use any pesticides other than my spiders and lady bugs I sometimes spray Neem once or twice during veg for a precuation. PPMs never exceeding 1100 typically feed ~750ppm.

Do you follow AN's feed charts?

There can't be much in Big Bud/Overdrive. Big Bud is just aminos with some PK, it's most likely alfalfa meal blended with mono potassium phosphate and epsom salts, nothing fancy.

Big bud is life changing,no doubt. If you want organic I choose Iguana over Earth Juice,or Ago Old any day. I want to try Botanicare compared to Iguana Juice someday soon.

These are links to some truth about advanced, their lies and links to the data to back up the story

Advanced lies about what's in the nutrients, they use contaminated materials and they contain dangerous heavy metals.

You'd get 43% more yield with every nutrient if your plants were eating 10ppm of lead for 80-120 days.

Look at the info and actual read it. Its all true. Here's what advanced said when a rep was contacted and asked to comment on these claims.

The formulation of Kushie kush and the ingredients that go into it in terms of the levels are proprietary in nature. For more information of what Kushie kush can do for your plants, you can use the product page on our website at: Kushie Kush Nutrient by Advanced Nutrients You should use kushie kush instead of big bud from the second week of bloom, right up to two weeks before flush. And if you can, I would certainly like to see the link to the forum, as we can try and eliminate some of those concerns.

Yep. Big Bud

K as K20 = 40.4 = 33.54% elemental K

P as P2O = 16.7 = 7.438% elemental P

Total N = 0.944
NH4 = 0.225
Mg = 0.0148

And yes FM it could be alfa but it also could easily be a kelp high in cytokinins which is where I'd go with it (gad knows maybe even throw in a bit of 6-BAP to really give it a kick in the arse).

Yep - hey jeez look at that NH4 N - wow Advanced Nutrients are geniuses - they now know what Ag has known for over 20 years. Could do with some more Mg.

OverDrive is dead easy - I've long made my own and used it after my PK 13-14 regime. Pretty high on NO3 N - combo of potassium nitrate, MKP, Mono mag phosphate and magnesium nitrate.

Reason I think it's alfalfa is the colour - it's pale brown, seaweed meal is dark green.

What's 6-BAP? Benzylaminopurine? I happen to have some of that.

Biobizz nutes are crap, sure they produce good end product that tastes nice but you can get the same results with a whole host of cheap organics from the garden centre or hardware store.

Biobizz is mostly molasses, that's why it produces great taste, but the yield Biobizz gives is poor, 5-6 years ago Biobizz gave ya much better yield then they changed the formula, removed one of the ingredients and put it in a seperate bottle, called it Bioheaven and charged a big price for it. If you use Biobizz without Bioheaven it gives the same performance as the old nutes before they removed whatever is in Bioheaven, net result is a 3x increase in the cost of a Biobizz regime.

Sorry mullray, I take your point, I was just going by the three or four seaweed powders I've seen here, all local Uk ones and they are all dark green, almost black.

I was just making the point that the Big Bud Powder packets I had 2-3 years back were a pale brown colour, you could see larger pale brown granules and smaller white granules. When I bought a pound of powdered aminos it was the same pale brown colour as the brown bits in Big Bud. I could imagine the aminos I had mixed with epsom salts and mono pk would look just like the Big Bud Powder. Just my completely unscientific observation based purely on aesthetics. That old 0-15-40 Big Bud Powder did work good, dunno whether that was down to the aminos or not.
