lol.

The site claims urban gardener is an AN company too (along with Rosebud). I was not aware of this, and ive gotten Urban Garden mags at wormsway (and never noticed an AN advert). 4 years ago i asked a wormway clerk about AN, and they looked at me as if i told them there child died. They said 'we dont carry anything that specific'. Then i saw the Phospoload, Bushmasters, etc, and realized how hypocritical all this nonsense is.

all the nutrients/additives that are not registered are done that way on purpose. there are ingredients in there that are not for use/sale in Oregon, California. there for they dont register the product, once they do, the magic ingredients will be history or they will change the name of the nutrient./additive. IE - botanicares hydroshield is now called aquashield. the ingredients were taken off the label and chicken manure extract was added....TREG didn't want to pay the $25k to register it...

AN is NOT the only nutrient company to do this! botanicare, roots organic, gh, biobizz and several other companies due it this way as well. its not a bad thing, we want those secret ingredients......

That certainly was not the testimony provided by AN's attorney's at the ODA hearing this past May. Mostly it was a lot of whining, sniveling and crying like a rat eatin' onions. Pretty pitiful - not exactly a study in legalese.

Given that they also violated Section 18's provisions for a temporary lifting on the Stop Sale order from last February, the next listing will see even more products. Pissing off the inspectors of the agency that will determine a company's ability to market a product line seems to be counter-productive. Then again it is FatBoy Mike we're talking about.

Botanicare (i.e. Sunlight Manufacturing) is next up. 10 products are currently being reviewed and tested. They should see what ODA did to GH and their organic line a few months back.

YOU may believe that there is 'secret stuff' in their mixtures but those claims haven't been proven in the lab testing conducted through ODA. Sounds like more of the "I've Got a Secret" drivel that has dominated the fertilizer industry for over 60 years.

Then again, FatBoy Mike also claims to have 'special silica' sources. I guess reading a Periodic Table is still beyond his skill level and probably many of his customers/victims.

ya, im not saying that i like AN, i only use there ph up/down, im just saying why there are not registered.....

botanicare will get hit hard then, Treg is a sneaky mofo......

as far as secret stuff, try organic roots amino aid, and tell me there is not something special in there, this is a amino that everyone in my group runs, and we have never seen such great growth in veg.....

It's still in the carbon group:tiphat:

Secret nutrient ingredients are bullshit. If they are using harpin protien, let them list it. Salicylic acid, paco, whatever, let them list that shit rather than (literally) calling it voodoo juice.

Ive seen a handful of posts about, and no one has been able to answer the question as to why connoisseur cannot be used in veg? Is it PGR's, why the fuck would you want 'secret ingredients'?

If mike has a special source of silica, it must be 99% more potent than raw potassium silicate. I bet the source is within 100km of ANs bottling plant. To guarantee specific yieild increase per product is absolutely ridonkulous.
Every fert co goes as long as they can without submitting products/labels before getting caught. I know Treg, and he's actually more legit than many others. He understands chemistry & botany better than most of the big wigs of these hydro fert co's. Not saying he's not That shady, but he is a shrewed business man.

Indoor Gardner mag is not affiliated with AN. It's grotek. Gardens cure is humboldt wholesale. Laugh, but I have never even opened a single issue of rosebud...

kb: you know I have mad respect for you and I'm not trying to discredit you at all, but weren't you telling us how great kushy kush was working out for you with results that seemed almost unbievable. You almost convinced me to try it. Can you elaborate on the improvements & results you noticed by adding it to your H&G line?
A friend who I consider an equal says bud factor X really triched significantly. I'm actually hearing a lot of good things about BC, KK, and BFX. ~Shhhhh~ did a nice comparrison of bud candy vs molasses vs nothing. Bud candy was the frostiest, and had a very sweet taste, but molasses was almost as triched, yielded more and tasted more like the strain than the artificial sweetness of bud candy. The control yielded least, had less trichs and wasn't as flavorful as the test subjects. It seems molasses won overall..

To guarantee specific yieild increase per product is absolutely ridonkulous.

This has always been what has made me skeptical of AN. Any increase in yield percentages in a controlled experiment do not automatically guarantee any idiot who fancies himself a horticulturalist will have those same results...as is pointed out time and time again here it ultimately comes down to individual skill, the best products in the world won't help you if your head's up your ass.

I have never even opened a single issue of rosebud...

You're better off for it...I actually didn't know what it was at first, the friendly man at the hydro store (who always recommends AN) gave me an issue...I saw about 12 pages of AN ads (38.37 increase in yields!) before I even saw the table of contents, which was followed by a touching letter written by fat mike...it was then I understood that it was AN propaganda. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good laugh. The book Bud, Inc talks a bit about the rise of AN (amongst other things), great book.

dextrose= carbo load. it feeds beneficials and aids in the leaching of salts. it does not thicken anything but the nute solution. I think your talking about a silicate like barricade now diluted and renamed Rhino Skin...

dude! that amino aid is so freaking good!!!!!!!!!

its a must have for my veg plants, they look so good!

What are the amino sources in Amino Aid?

I have some kelp-based additives in my arsenal already and was wondering if kelp is the main or only thing used in amino additives. Any input?

Mullray, I would like you to check back later too, your input is wise.........

Gotta say I do find myself interested in aminos for veg.

I am curious if one is better off with an array of different aminos or if a single amino will chelate all of the ions. My pH is typically 5.3 to 5.6 so I would definitely be interested in glycine.

As far as calculating molecular weight of ions I gotta admit I am lost as to how to do this. Any tips Mullray?

Advanced Nutrients are all marketing, nothing more. I'm not the most experienced grower on here, but I know a sucker product when I see one. You can achieve the same (or better) results using products that cost 1/10 the price. My 2 cents
