you guys are hilarious! I was plenty successful as described in my photos, and understand many ways to use AN to its fullest potential. It was what I was hired for. There have been plenty of threads on these forums as well as the 10k posts on the AN forums from myself, doing nothing but trying to get people to figure out how to use their stuff and not fry shit. I'm glad some of you are successful with the product. I bet your great with almost anything you use. Yes I'm disgruntled, and I still try to help you be more successful with the shit. the truth be told, give me some generic 20-20-20 powder and I will grow dank. HOWEVER.. give me the choices to pick and choose and adjust as I see fit, I'll grow some AMAZING dank. More Truth be told, my current regiment uses big bud, barricade (since I still have plenty) and overdrive, I have exchanged parts of the "+" line for others. Some being more expensive than AN's shit. The big difference is price vs. concentration levels and with most other fert co's I purchase from, the batches are more consistent. You like Sensi AB. great! I like the og mfg of the same product for $20 a gallon. you Like Connoissuer eh? I like its originators product GOLD better because its consistent. you like voodoo? cool! it was my favorite product back when! now I like roots excelurator because a $100 can gets me through a 12 week veg/bloom 8 lighter cycle and performs just as well. I also don't need to add carbs to keep it, or the hygrozyme alive! I not totally dogging the stuff, I'm dogging the whole ORGANIZATION! Use what you want. May all ferts you choose grow you amazing dank meds with AN or Peter's or a dead fish in the ground. lol. seriously though, What is the Ideal NKP for Cannabis? and what makes a company that uses the same formulas as GH flora, almost 40 years old now.. be cannabis specific? what is the NPK of the Lucas formula? A lot (if not the majority) of hydro growers here on these forums would consider that the end all final answer to grow the best pot. I'm not going to tell you the answer, but I will hint that it pretty much works with any short day dichotomus fruit or flower.. it's available anywhere!- Peas,

Hey toohigh, i see you have a major issue with this company ..
Toohigh, like you said this is a corporation, and there is something like consumer demand. The 3 part may have the same NPK in its bottled form but AN recommends to run it 1:1:1.
Its also cheaper and more concentrated, a company has to survive, so give it to the people, Micro, grow, bloom ... who can then if wanted do their own formulations.
But if we go to Sensi, Conni and Iguana Juice and Monkey Juice they are cannabis specific.
Now that I have been following these posts, you come across as an Agressive Ex employee that got shit on or something.
As you also know cannabis has been pretty illegal over the last years, and Im lead to believe there hasnt been as much research on what the plants realy require when growing and blooming(by professionals), and few companies are starting this now over the last 10 years.
So a perfect formula doesnt come over night. And a company that changes cares to give the best product and does not want an inferior product on the market.
I do agree one can grow great pot with any fertilizer. But i want supreme pot and so far ive only gotten this with AN. This really is an endless arguement, its us with success with AN and then its you guys who have some major problem w/ AN.

Yeah thats right, I got Juicy Roots (the rooting gel) and JumpStart (cloning nutrient, mainly vitamin B and Kelp).

I squeeze the juicy roots gel into the rapid rooter hole as instructed, make the final cut on the clone under water, at an angle, sometimes even making an extra slit. Everything was done perfectly including the environment.
I spray the clones with JumpStart as directed, sometimes giving it a rest.

This is the second time around failing with around 40 clones. The first time I failed I thought it might be because I was saturating the rapid rooters and squeezing them out a little. Then I heard that the Rapid Rooters are as moist as they need to be outta the package.

I did still get around 8 healthy clones from the first failed batch (after a month), but I did the second batch even more pro, and 2 and 1/2 weeks later I have nothing but yellow stumps.

i use root riots , they are damp , but def not damp enough , compared to rock wool which needs to be kept on the verg of being dry , the root riots , need to be wet all the time , i give mine an ec of 12 and ph 5.5 , no heated prop . i soak um in this for about a minute then let them natrually dry , they also dont need as much light as rooting in rock wool .

if you are having probs , wet your blocks and keep um wetter than we would do with rock wool .

take larger cuts 4 to 5 inch and chop all the foliage from the bottom , this will help you get more through , they will take about 4 days longer to root , but you will have less chance of them dying

remember wet is the key with thwese , open your lid every day . and open the vents after 5 to 6 days . do not spray them with any thing , this can rot your tips ,:xmastree:

I've not read any of the comments below but to the inital question;

I would try to keep things as simple as possible, best sure way to root clones is just plan water and perhaps if ya want some clonex(and air). Also had great success with hesi root complex. Tho that is just things that will make clones root faster and is in no way something you should fiddle about when your having problems gettings roots at all.

The number one tip is: always keep things as simple as possible.

And if you have everything under control; enviroment, water temp and the cleaning between each try, make sure you bleach the shit out of your equipment, especially after having experienced failures. I had this same exact issue, many tries and failures with no success until i really cleaned my setup, and i've been cleaning like never before since.

And stay away from rapid rooters, buy/build urself a lowpressure hydro system like x-stream.

what you said about cleaning is key , i agree ,

like you said keep it simple , but i dont agree on not using rapid rooters , i think you can use any thing as long as you keep it simple
clonex will not make um root but make um root more healthy .

i tell people to take a cut put it in a glass of water and leave it on the window sill , may take 3 weeks but will root , then take it from there , its the variables people dont take into account , :tree:

You are right. I got shit on as well as the distributors, bottling plant, warehouse, web guys, Mods, real tech support etc. The only difference is I had the balls to tell Higgens to his face that he's a greedy prick and QUIT in the middle of layoffs. Do you even know what monkey juice is???? sensi AB is Cannabis specific? why? because it says Sensi? SHIIIIIIIT! LOL! do some research. the dosing has changes so many times for their GMB. it started as
1-1-.2. then it went to 1-2-3 "for you old school GH growers" and now equal parts.. why is that? because you buy more that way! don't you get it? use 30ml/liter of voodoo at $96 a liter????? lol!!!!!!
I guess if its called Canna or Dutch master, or have the word bud or Sensi in it they must be talkin sensimilia and Cannabis, right?
If you believe that, I must warn you that the King of Zamunda in Africa that has $124,000,000 US dollars waiting to deposit into your bank account after you send them $300 to free up the taxes is a sheme! Don't do it! LMAO!

Thier ad campaign totally works.
A friend has a nug of Angel Tear Kush in a little clear box to show off and he is happy with Advanced.
So far PBP has been good in veg and okay in bloom. Organics may get left in the sun before getting to the shop and maybe the mineral only nutes keep better.
Maybe the brand is horrible but the nute campaign is working on me. With potentially one more chelated source of calcium or something which may be absorbed across a broader range could be B.S. so I will ask my bro what other nutes he tried before.
With all the work defining ranges of NPK in PPM you'd think gardeners would be able to use the 3 Miracle Grows with a few other products to get the same chelated ingredients.

There's two reasons I use Advanced Nutrients.

First, I saw how it worked in other people's grows. When I'd see a budshot that made me just stare at the screen agape more often than not I'd read that it was grown on Advanced Nutrients.

Second, I've seen how it works in my own garden. Simply put I've consistently gotten the best results growing with AN. That's more than enough reason to keep going back as far as I'm concerned.

I've also noticed that it seems most if not all of the naysaying of AN comes from people who haven't used it at all, or tried it very briefly, never got it dialed in, and gave up.

Well, that and a disgruntled ex-employee. Not saying that he's lying, but there's a pretty clear axe to grind there so I'm not strongly inclined to believe everything said there.

Advanced to Canna back to Advanced

Advanced to Canna back to Advanced

First Post....longtime lurker, just registered.

I've used Advanced Nutrients for a while then switched to the Canna line, and then back to Advanced. IMHO Advanced covers a more broad range of what the plant is jones'n for. I went to school for horticulture and got the botany basics down, and theres gold in dem dar bottles. Proof is in the pudding. I did notice Advanced Nutrients create a sweet taste to everything you grow, and Canna really brings out the natural flavor of the strain. Ya can't beat their SensiCal-Mg Bloom nutes, just look at whats inside. Ya couldn't cover a more broad range of nutes in a Cal-Mg suppliment.

I got a question for AN users: I currently received a free bottle of jump start, I was wondering when it was the appropriate time to use this product?

When roots are present... Use it quick because the shit breaks down to Amonia within a month of opening the bottle.

I've done a couple of grows now with AN nutes. I can tell you that they are an improvement over cheap chem-nutes. I used Shultz 10-15-12 for a couple of my first grows and to be careful to control salt buildups.

My first grow with Sensi-AB was bang on with no pH problems or lockouts. The addition of Big Bud gave me a 30% increase in yield.

I've spent about $70 Cdn on the Sensi-AB and Big Big and have only used a 1/3 of the Sensi AB and hardly any of the Big Bud powder on 4 two plant grows yielding about 2 oz per plant in a grow cabinet. I'd say I'm spending less than $2 an ounce on nutes and about $10 for electricity.

There is a lot of noise about how much the AN costs and the marketing BS. My grow is for personal use and a hobby to boot. I could buy all the AN lineup and I'd still be under $10 an ounce. One thing the AN nutes are concentrated but then again so is that 10 year old bottle of Shultz.

One thing, I haven't heard is that AN doesn't grow nice pot or comparing it to Miracle Grow.

C'mon you commerical guys, just admit that you're greedy and spending fifty bucks on nutes to grow a pound is too much when you're getting a couple of grand for it.

I'm commercial and were not all greedy. why do you think if there not willing to spend the money it has to do with greed or a commercial crop. i use advanced nutes in my commercial grow at the cost of about $800 a round. thats $2,400 every 3 months I'm spending to run 3 rooms all at once. cheep and greedy i think not. i know a few other commercial guy's locally that are also using advanced. so not all of us are in it for greed. I'm using it to help find me the best results i can get. i also use a gh products in a different local so i can compare results and make my desitions based on quality of product. i've used gh for several years and really love the results and I'll run advanced for at least 3 grows to tune it in and then i'll make an educated decition on what i get better results with. so you see i8 have no problem spending huge amounts of money to help me achieve the best product possible. in the long run I'll make more $ because my meds are in such high demand.

rmccinc719 - thanks for your excellent comments.

It seems that I succeeded in touching a nerve by calling all commersh growers greedy. That was the purpose of making a blanket statement without any facts or proof. This is the same thing that is going on by making statements that AN is a horrible product or it costs too much.

I'd really like to know what your operating costs are for nutes. $800 per cycle sounds a lot but how much is that per lb or oz?

hey eger i have a grow show over in the indoor hydro section called 16,000 watt wharehouse part one. i do weekly report of all my ups and downs of pulling off a large warehouse grow. I'll be posting new pics and report by thursday as i enter our 6th week of flower. when i first started this thread i mislabled the title it should of actually said 24,000 watt warehouse grow because that's how much lighting were actually using.

redgreenry: i do run quit a rather large system I'm running 3 16x20 rooms with 30 plants per room ranging from 5 to 6ft tall . and we suck up as much as 100 gallons of nutes per week per room when in flower. thats how i get $800 per room per cycle. talk about alot of nutes. i buy my 3 part in the 2 1/2 gallon sizes and all my additives by the gallon.
