As much as I dislike Trudeau, his gun ban, and some of his policies, when people throw around words like libtard , liberal cuck, or communist or conversely nazi, fascist ect. it only serves to drive more radicalization on both sides of the spectrum. We have seen first hand what consequences radicalization like that can have. Words are powerful... please have care which ones you choose.

Now lets talk firearms licenses in canada..... I am told.... and can verify if it's really needed.... that all new license applications are on hold due to staffing issues and covid.

I'm glad I took the gun course in late November. I just received my paperwork yesterday and just have to send it off to the RCMP.
But yeah, the course is now cancelled. I emailed them early in January to see where my paperwork was and this was part of my email.

The Chief Firearms Officer of Ontario has ordered the suspension of all CFSC and CRFSC courses and examinations in the Province of Ontario until further notice.

I offer no quarter to liberals or anyone who has been brainwashed into voting for them..... period.

if that offends people, that's too bad. I'm not trying to pick fights or continue this discussion on this site but.... I'm not "woke" and do not believe in the radicalized left or in the path that Trudeau and his great reset (davos plan) has for us. I find it funny how the left demonizes the right but are the first to say "hey... those words hurt me"

Both major political parties are more business than government, and partly evil. All you can do is try and pick the lesser of two evils, and the Liberals are it.

with the personal or designated grower applications and renewals, all the staff are working from home, or were back in august/september..... .....

I was involved in the network upgrades to handle the growth of teleworking. It went from about 4500 to 30,000 workers working from home (in this location). Health Canada, and other departments, are probably more efficient. Going into the office is probably never going to return. So I wouldn't blame remote work for anything. They're just being fuckers.

If I apply for a license, I consider myself licenced and will grow the max. If they want to dance in front of a judge, I'm willing. I have the time, interest and lawyer (Greenspan).

I didn't vote Liberal nor NDP... I just think name-calling and hyperbolizing does far more harm than good. You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.

BTW I never said it offends me or "hurts me"... it just makes me sad seeing my fellow Canadians insulting each other over politics. If being "woke" is a common sense of courtesy and decency when interacting with others, yes I guess Im guilty of being "woke". Im not interested in chatting with someone who views Canadians with different political views as enemies to given no quarter, so Ill see myself out. You do you.

Back to the whole acmpr topic...

I reached out to licencetogrow about the potential changes coming in Oct and basically they stated that there are no projected changes in the near future as of now, at least not for 95g a day or less.

What do you expect them to say.

There has been some meetings lately regarding the upcoming review in October. I know just this Feb 3rd the meeting was regarding the illicit market and money laundering. I know these 400+ plant licenses have been discussed.

I don't believe there is going to be major changes but I think people with real high plant numbers are going to have to jump through more hoops to legitimize their need for such a high plant count.

What would i expect them to say? Well as a business who makes their profit from putting people through, I would think they would want to get more people through before such changes took place to ensure their income...thus I would think they would be up front about potential changes.
What would be the purpose not to be up front?

I do expect changes coming for the larger licenses, every grow op bust I read about in the news has multiple permits, many more plants and product than permitted and being sold on the black market. I expect more medical documentation requirements and maybe even a limit on the number of permits allowed per production site. Maybe even to go as far as to use some of their income from the legal market to create an inspection branch of health canada.

You mean like see 2 doctors instead of one?

The high count scripts aren't the problem. It's organized crime with 3 designated licenses for 95gr each, but growing 10,000 plants in three or four greenhouses. The scripts aren't the problem. People breaking the law is.

Come on guys, you know how they operate. Organized crime was just testing the over count limits. They'll continue to grow at continually reduced plant counts until the penalty for over counts is acceptable. Then they'll clone that process 500 times.

But I do see changes coming. They'll attack the black market by upping personal grows to 8 or something, allow clone sales at your local nursery, and open up farm-to-gate sales. Bye bye organized crime profits and money laundering. Sure, a few will keep growing for their US customers and try to take a bigger chunk out of the Mexican Cartel's continually shrinking market, but that'll be a US Border Services' issue. And that's only IF Biden doesn't legalize it first.

Canada eyes tighter rules for grow-your-own pot producers Reuters

"Canada’s health regulator will launch a public consultation program on Monday in its draft guidance for individuals growing medical cannabis at home, hoping to clamp down on people selling weed on the black market. In the draft document sent to some industry figures and seen by Reuters ahead of publication, Health Canada highlights recent police raids and arrests at production sites where people were using licenses to “cover and support large-scale illegal production and sale”."

There's a link in the article with an RS top level domain. I doubt health canada is using a Serbian server to store an infographic.

Once again, they're going after the wrong people. They should be going after criminals growing 5,000 over their count, not someone who has a 150 plant licence at home. Their efforts will only make it more lucrative to enter the black market. Of course, the LPs want everyone to only have a 1gr licence, and they'll be the ones consulted.
