And congrats on the amber, not too long now
Thank you Brother...and congrats again on your latest harvest. Hope the sampling is going well! :)

100 days today of 12/12. The ladies centennial flower day.

At least one of the Malawis is starting to get more cloudy.
Perhaps I'm blind.....and the truth is I can't see THAT well.....but the Zams and the PHs are acting like they are on an all inclusive beach vacation. No rush....just swelling up...enjoying their 8 free meals a day.....and their 860w sun.

Anyone ever have a long flowering Zam...or is 100+ days "normal"?:tiphat:

Hi my friend they are getting fatter swelling up thats what you want, forget the weeks its irrelevant watch the flowers, smell the aromas, watch the pistils fade forget everything else its nature not a machine.
Calm yourself be patient the plant will let you know when its done you will be able to tell if you are paying attention you will see it is spent and ready to harvest.
Like fruit on a tree.

OldToker, You hang out with a pretty rough crowd of people. I'm sure I'm the worst poster here on Ace. Orfeas and DeepWaterDude have been kind to me so far. But I did send them a picture of my big sister who protects me. lol Peace

So far. Yah...they were nice to me in the beginning also. Now they are demanding that I pay tribute from my meager harvest for all their good advice. Be careful and make sure you understand what the costs are for their expertise....otherwise you'll end up like me....a share cropper slaving for a couple of heartless marijuana entrepreneurs. There is still time for you to escape....:tiphat:

This is but slander and exaggeration, farmerlion, I'm sure you've realized already. Between you and me, Old Toker, while allegedly getting very lucky with some generous-minded plants and a reliable timer or two, OK and a decent light, is pretty senile at this point. Hell, it's sad and I didn't want to bring it up in public. And about the pics, I remain unconvinced. We could be looking at Ivy on a wall for all we know. Anyhow, he's a sweet guy, a little uppity, but with a decent comedic instinct and for this I try to keep his mind active. Basically so he finishes the grow and I get my PH;0)

And to prove it I'm not a hard guy, I thought this would be a great opportunity to announce a special deal! That's right, we're offering grow-long advice for only a meager 35% of your harvest! Offer applies only to grows of 3lbs or more, ACE/CBG strains only. We offer this service only as "amusement" and as such are not responsible for poor, below average, or just plain crappy results, nor for the truthfulness or logic of our "suggestions". Hell, we were about to boil our roots the other day. And we still get our 35%, even if you screw up. "We" shall be defined as whoever's typing on this keyboard at a given moment, and seeing as how that equally well could be my cat as I, "I" and "we" decline any responsibility for pretty much anything except reception of the aforementioned tithe that will be heretofore referred to for tax purposes as the "donation", which will consist of a minimum of 1 lb dry weight cannabis buds, well treated, and one dozen assorted dunkin donuts, glazed.

On a more serious note, I have heard and read tell that a supremely healthy cannabis plant's hairs will stay white until harvest. I don't know if this is a myth, but I do know some people feel very strongly about it. that said, I have not seen many plants if any harvested this way. The truth is, there're no worries to be had, because Tangwena's got his eye on your bitches;)
Happy 100!

entirely eye to eye with you on that bigger size fonts...yet I seem to be perplexed with the 35% tithe...I've always thought of a 10%...but that was back in the day...however, if the mental strain along with the energy concumed punching the keyboard is added up, then the figure is just about right...

Other than the senility part....and your supposed reluctance to out me in public...the rest of this is fairly accurate. I have been VERY lucky with this grow. I've also been fortunate to have quite a bit of good advice and guidance from IC members like you. Thank you. :tiphat:

I heard/read this also, and if I had a little more experience I might try it out. But for this grow I'm going to try to go by the trich color. Thanks for the info.:tiphat:

I have to say I've admired your restraint in the past from making my senility public. :tiphat:BUT......now that it's been outed....I want you to know that .....there really isn't any Panama Haze. I thought there was.....and I just looked....and there isn't any....it's gone....can't remember where it went. This is the kind of sh*t you risk when attempting to take advantage of a naive senor citizen. Sometimes senility raises it's ugly head at the most inopportune (for some) times. Sorry...but....
Sometimes you are the hammer,

Dude these long flowering sativa's will throw white hairs and new growth seemingly until the day they are chopped. I tried to out wait my panlawi and she was still throwing white hairs on trimming day, all the while clouded trichromes turned amber, almost no clear, and I can tell by initial smokes that I let her go a week or maybe even 10 days longer than I like. But in the end, who gives a @#$^, still smokes fantastic hahahaha.

My thoughts on this whole thread can be summarized in 6 words: You guys all crack me up.

Thanks...I've heard this before.....and this may be true for my Zams and the PHs (that I can't find). Evidently the "safest" method to determine when to harvest some Sativas is the trichs.
If I recall correctly (Ace site seems to be down) the Zams should be ready in 11-14 weeks. The PHs (which I can't remember what happened to..) at 14-16 weeks. I'll try looking at the Zams again tonight.....and ignore the white pistils and new growth. :tiphat:

Ok....day 101 of 12/12. I think we are getting close. Have found some amber trichs on all the plants.....still can't seem to tell the difference between clear and cloudy....but I can pick out amber. I think they are ready. I know I am. Considering that I plan to flush for two weeks....and I'd rather keep closer to the Sativa spectrum of effects....and my 55 gal rez needs to be refilled tomorrow....I'm going to flush all of them with tap water beginning tomorrow night. Tomorrow also marks 7 days since I started flushing the GTs. You should be able to see the yellowing in the pics.

Had a meeting with my Ace Sativa grow advisors (GG, Orfeas, DWD, Syd, Tangwena, Buddler, Farmerlion, Akirabull and a few others) on this grow to discuss the progress and how the samples should be distributed among them. They were very demanding. The tall one in the middle was DWD when he found out the PHs were missing. :moon:
