Day 20 from germination.

6 plants on the right are Outback Haze x Panama, 3 on the left are Purple Zamal x A5 Haze. I can only keep one of each to flower so I will soon have to do a selection.

As for now, this is my favorite Purple Zamal x A5. Its the most vigorous and the most stretchy out of the 3. It's also a stinker. It has a spicy aroma with some amonia notes.

The Outback Haze x Panama have yet to be sexed but this is my favorite contender as for now. It has the most aligator looking deep serrated leaves that reminds me of certain thaï cultivars. Its the third most vigorous of the bunch.

Very kali china dom plant. It turned out to be a really high quality dutch haze ,good potency with great taste.I would like to experience the outback side more next time.

I would love to see the Outback crossed to A5 ,oaxaca, green oth, new Caledonia, even with orient express would be killer

Dubi has hooked me up with some Outback x Malawi and some outback x panama at least one of those gonna be grown next round. (thanks man!)

How long have you been flowering your KC x Outback Haze? Also what aromas you’re picking? Going to harvest my KC x Outback Haze next week ✌🏻

Okay so I harvested the Morocco x Lebanon today!
Still very little smell, just reminding of hashish.
This plant looks really rugged, almost every leaf has been depleted of nutrients or used up by NDL Lamp.
Should be quite clean when smoked, very happy about the finish.
Would give some more nutrients next time, kept it really low the whole time, but maybe this was good.
Very excited about the first tests soon, never smoked a strain like this.
Now 2 weeks hanging the whole tree upside down :)

Thanks for giving the R+D Moroccan x Lebanese F1 a try @Kijell :) and for sharing your results with us.
It looks like a purple Lebanese leaning expression. Glad to hear the experience motivated you to grow more this outdoor season, it’s definitely more of an outdoor line. Please keep us updated with a smoke report!

I ended up with one female from the four Moroccan x Lebanese plants, and the males all started showing pistils so i won’t use any of their pollen. Luckily i have frozen pollen from two stable males so i have used that to dust a lower branch. This female has an oily haze aroma at the moment.

We are at day 4 under 11/13.

Plants were getting too big for the tent so I had to make my final selection. I kept one Outback Haze x Panama and two Purple Zamal x A5. The selected Outback haze was the second most vigorous plant of the six and probably the most thaï looking in structure. I had two other females I considered as keepers but one was lanky with a bit fatter leaves and the other was the least vigorous plant of the bunch. I kept two Zamal x A5 because both plants showed good structure, vigor plus really appealing aromas.

Hi, after a while, drying and little curing here is a picture of some buds if Honduras a5, a5 dominant pheno. Thick calyxes, thick resin layer and an intoxicating smell and taste. Trimming it gave a headache not because of how strong it smells but the smell itself is like liver haze. Very different from nowadays haze wich are more lemon/puke, this one is much darker. Effects is not crazy strong but peaks fo 3-4h before it start to slowly diminish, and each puff stacks and get you higher.
Had a lot of fun growing this one.
Last picture is of the Colombian pheno, more classic. With 300w led is way more hairy, but still decent yield overall. Classic Colombian smell but effect is a little more narcotic than expected.
Great genetics ! Thx @dubi for the works 👊

Thanks to you @zapok for sharing with us your growing experience and smoke report on this new A5 Haze hybrid 🥰 Happy to hear you have enjoyed with the grow and that finished product is of your taste, with a well deserved, generous final yield. First 2 pics certainly look more A5 Haze dom, while third one looks almost like straight Honduras (purple Colombian) mother.

A5 Haze dark, liver, hashy incensey leathery terps were indeed more present in 90s Dutch Haze hybrids such as original Nevil's Haze release and some old Kali Mist phenos. But as you correctly pointed out, over time the selections shifted toward more C5 leaning profiles like Lemon Haze, Jack Herer, and Super Silver Haze, to the point where A5 Haze terps and effects were nearly lost this century.

That’s why I believe the work we've been doing with A5 Haze hybrids in recent years is so important (huge thanks to Yo Sammy and Karma for sourcing and preserving the original A5 clone). Growers now finally have access to several straight A5 Haze hybrids, most importantly, crossed with unrelated, high-quality sativas to offer something unique that hasn’t been done in the Haze field in the past 25 years. Unlike the Dutch companies, who kept crossing Nevil’s NL/Haze hybrids with various indicas, thereby diluting the Haze/sativa influence.

I like a lot how your Moroccan x Lebanese looks after 4-5 weeks of flowering @island_organics :)
Glad you had pollen stored to pollinate her and make F2

Flowering in spring or using light deps is a good way to force parent plants to reveal any hermie tendencies that might stay hidden under natural photoperiods.
