Looking amazing!
Thank you for the kind words my friend and thank you again for making these available, I absolutely love these plants. :tiphat:

I have 4 of them in the flower room, I will get some pictures in about an hour, when the lights come on. They are a few weeks farther into flower than the outdoor ladies. It will be interesting to see what the difference is, smoke wise, between the two outdoors and their clones indoors.
Peace, God bless

Clones

Clones

Here are the 4 female clones from the flower room. They went into flower 7 weeks ago and are on a 10.5/13.5 light schedule, as I have Hazes and other sativa in there. They stretched for a few weeks before starting to put out flowers, so I'm not sure how many weeks they have left.
Here is the group, 1, 3, 5 and 7

#1

#3

#5

#7

The smells range from creamy cherry to a strong oil. Yup, #7 smells almost like my Malawi. I had just smoked a joint of Malawi and wasn't sure if I had some resin on me. She is really strong smelling, much stronger than any of the others. She was the runt that I culled outdoors that I earlier thought was leaning very Oaxaca, much narrower leaves than the rest.
Can't wait to try them!
Peace, God bless

Very nice little clones, Solarlogos! I'm amazed at how uniform the stem color is. I'm going to have to invest in a few new seeds;)

Hi Vermontman,

What are key elements to look for if you wanted to select towards the Oaxacan side of things? Or, maybe it's easier to identify the Nepalese side?

Thanks in advance!

Thank you for posting pictures of the father of your cross vermontman, I was just wondering if the purple comes from both parents.

I would say narrower leaves
I've always suspected my #7 female was leaning very Oaxaca. Even early on, her leaves were always more narrow, more symmetrical leaf pattern. She was the last to show sex outdoors (July), but her clone went right into flower at 11/13. Her smells are different, more pungent and at this time, an oil smell, kind of motor/gear oil, which may change as she matures more:

What are your thoughts Vermontman?

Update: Purple Satellite #7's smell tonight is still quite strong, considering the other 3 females have very faint smells, but are fruity and creamy, leaning more toward strawberry or fruit gum. Purple Satellite #7 (Oaxaca I believe above) still has that oily smell, but it doesn't seem to dominate as much as the other night, but rather more of a sweet skunky smell, fruity and oily.

I ended up culling the mother in July after she did not show hairs yet, while the others were in flower. The clone, as mentioned earlier, when right into flower at 11/13 light schedule. She differs so much from the others regarding leaf, smell and flowering/showing sex, that I'm inclined to think she has less Nepalese influence in her compared to the others (or very little at all). I believe it was mentioned the early flowering was due to the Nepalese acclimating to 20 hours of light/day?
Peace, God bless

Update on Purple Satellite outdoor. Branch showing bud formation. I waited too long to up pot. There were no buds forming yet but a lot of preflowers when I went from 5 gal to 35 gal grow bag.
You can see that some of the leafs only have 3 blades. Plant revegged after up potting which slowed it down, but now buds are forming. Lesson learned, root restriction forces flowering. Also, plant right away in final pot. Grow bags aren't good if you are planning on up potting. Roots cling to bottom of bag which makes it harder to remove and rips a lot of roots away from root ball. Hard containers the root ball comes out easily.

I've got some Ace seeds going in a famously foggy spot. I chose strains that seemed like they might have strong mold resistance. Ive had both success and failure here over the past few summers but after last summers total mold fail I've really been purposeful about choosing plants and grow methods with an eye towards mold resistance / prevention. I've learned a lot from these forums so I figure I should give back with some pictures.

So far Purple Satellite has stolen the show. First to flower and with beautiful pink/fuchsia pistils. Big thin fingered fan leaves and a lanky structure. I had topped it when it was 3'. Now its the tallest plant I have at about 6' in a 10 gal grow bag.

I had a male as well, so I brushed one bud with some pollen. Maybe next year I'll see what happens with F2

After uploading them to your album, just click the "Insert Image(s)" tab on the right when you are posting, just under the smileys. All your albums will be right there and just click the picture(s) you want and it will automatically post it in your message where you have the cursor.

Your plants look great CR, both the indoors and outdoors. The bottom OD pic of the bud screams Oaxaca influence I think.

I have been out of town for a week and got back late last night. My two outdoors Purple Satellite girls have been on a drip system, chlorinated city water at 7.85 pH, so today they will get a good feeding and everything back on track. They did surprisingly well while I was away.

They are both over 6.5 foot tall/2 meters from the top of the pot. The best way to describe the smell of the girl on the left is a creamy cherry vanilla milkshake. The other girl is quite similar, but with a sweet, slightly skunkish smell.

Here is a side bud

She is of seed. I pollinated both outdoor girls with both male's pollen.

Of all the plants in my garden, these girls definitely steal the show. The next couple weeks I will be focused on getting them properly fattened up. I can almost see the finish line! Sweet smoke on the horizon!

Peace, God bless
