I decided to stick 4 seeds in the dirt last night. We shall see if I can get them to pop as I have been having a bit of trouble lately for some reason. I ramped up my efforts though with a heat mat and added some mycos to the soil.

For future seeds you may enjoy dusting them with an inoculant. I got a sample ($2 including shipping!) of Great White (planet revolution). I've noticed greater vigor in seedlings compared to controls. They only send enough to apply on a few transplants, but it's enough for dozens of seeds (I believe this is the optimal stage to administer). I'm not sure if it helps the percentage of germination success, but I've been getting a good success rate using this with rapid rooter plugs.

Yeah, I put some granular mycos in the hole when I pop the seed in. My soil is living soil...I just had 3 Purple Satellites poking their heads out this morning. ;)

Trés Bien! Are you going to do an outdoor grow? When I planned to put them out there's only 14 hours of light. I'm afraid that mine are going to flower and then revert. I thought about matching the sun but figured an extra ten hours of light for 2 months might make up for it. 🤞

I'm not sure what my timer is set on, but I think it's 18 hours on for veg. I will bring these up and put them outside as soon as it is warm enough, then bring them in at night. When it's finally warm enough I will plant them outside, probably end of May. I don't over think this stuff and it seems to work out.

Got a few going and noticed they're all dark green. Wondering if this is the oaxacan or nepalese influence?

Looking awesome! You’re gonna have some fun.
Both of my Purple Sats as well as everything else with the Oaxacan in it had some leaf twist on the first couple leaves until they started really taking off with growth. Totally normal now but I also noticed it on everything.

Hey brother thanks for the feedback.

I'm vegging at 20/4. Vermont man suggested 24/0 but I was a little worried about that light schedule for my other plants. Hoping to sex by June 1st. All the PS females will go outdoors. My first true sativa grow and I am excited. :groupwave:

I had leaf twist on 1 of my 2 PS when i grew it in nov 2021. @hamstring , are you growing indoor or transition to outside?

I kept mine at 20 hours light in veg. She is a quick girl.

Transitioning outdoors and thanks for the input on the 20/4 light schedule.

Basically 36 days left before heading outdoors. Transplanting into 1 gallon containers in a week or at least thats the plan so far. I am running Star Killer along side but not going outdoors with it. I will be putting some GG4 along side the PS outdoors this year.

Mine are already outdoors and loving the sun. They finally hardened off to full sunlight this last weekend and got potted in final bags yesterday. The females don’t seem to be trying too hard to flower early at all, but the males I set aside are going for it.

The PS male I saved is an awesome trifoliate. I was really hoping he was gonna be female but he had the boy stink all over him from the 3rd set of leaves.

Awesome brother and great to hear. I wish I had your skills for picking the males vs females.

This is one of the coldest springs here in the midwest we have had in years. There is a freeze warning, not frost but freeze warning for the next two days. Last year in March we were in the 50s the whole month.

My friggin tomato seedlings are way to large and should have been put outside a weeks ago.

Hey all, dropping in to share a short smoke report. The wife has a new favorite in Purple Satellite, claims it's the strongest I've grown for her. She's got old school west coast tastes from growing up in Ca and NM during the 70's. The PS gives her a clear mellow feeling that lifts her mood. She's happy and talkative with this stuff and helps with her pain from the fibromyalgia and neuropathy. Just now she said she can smoke a couple bowls getting all the right effects and still be really functional just much happier.

Thanks VM, more getting set out back in a few weeks. Just need to keep deer and varmits away till they take hold.

Is the high altitude Nepalese avail anywhere pure?
Tropical seeds co lists it as a private member's club only strain but it has been out of stock for quite a while... When they do a repro of classic stock they always sell out fast... I haven't seen the Nepal in stock recently but when they offered Colombia'72 recently it went in a matter of days

Still loving your work with this PS. I’m testing her out as a breeding tool to bring in various crosses a little quicker. In fact, it worked beautifully with Mango Haze for my lat and climate, finishing beg/mid Oct. the PS was dominant in bud structure and terps (still cherry!). The high is a perfect blend of the two, very warm, up, and positive. Like a good Mexican high that makes you grin. 😇
